You wear white and I'll wear out the words I love you
A crimson blush crept across her cheeks as he bestowed a kiss on the back of her hand, feeling every bit as giddy in this moment as she did in the beginning. The butterflies, the spark between them, his ability to make her blush, and grow weak in the knees had never changed or lessened over time. Their feelings had only grew stronger for one another, and the two of had grown with one another. Nothing ever had or would less what was between them, only enhance it in the future as the next chapters of their lives unfolded together. Every moment she had with him was a gift, to be embraced, and spent living within each and every moment, In the here and now regardless of the past and the future
Because the present was filled with unadultered happiness as he opened the car door and she slid inside, ready to venture off to wherever he had planned for them, easily going without question or hesitancy. Soft brown eyes watched his finger as it traced a circle into her palm, a circle could never be broken, it was always linked just as they were. She smiled softly to herself, tilting her gaze back up towards him as he brushed her hair out of her face, pressing a tender kiss into his palm before taking his hand into her own and intertwining their fingers. Elena watched as the scenery passed by them, feeling his gaze on her all the while, and every so often stole glances of her own back at him.

The brunette sat up a little straighter in the chair as what she had only seen in the likes of pictures, books, films, and in her imagination became her own reality as the city of Paris came into view before them. A look of pure childlike awe washed over her features, taking in all that she could see, every sound with her ears, and whatever smell that drifted into the car. Not until Stefan had moved around again to open the door had she registered that they had parked and took his hand to be helped out of the vehicle. “Sounds good.” She smiled before it was captured by his lips, moving her lips against his in response and tasting the best thing Paris or anywhere in the world had to offer.
“We shall.” She murmured happily, looping her arm into the nook of his elbow as they began strolling down the street her attention mostly caught up on him instead of where they were. Though she had plenty of time to be caught up in the wonders of both the city and the man she loved.
"De cette façon, mon amour." Stefan cooed, holding her close as she spun her arm through his. You could hear the clacks of shoes as the city buzzed around them and Stefan led them, in a slow pace, through the crowds of people, taking turns at every bustling street. There was so much to see and they'd never be able to get through everything in a week, but he'd show her all he could, take her the longest way possible; they had plenty of time to get to their next location and Stefan took far too much enjoyment in watching her take in all that was Paris.
The sun was lost behind buildings and lights flickered on all around them, people slowed their pace and time seemed to be dripping by as the romance of 'nuit à paris' set in. Bodies moved closer, hands looping together as couples, old and new stopped to take in brisk air, exchanging kisses and hugs and continuing on their way. This Paris, the one with Elena in it, the one with his present and future, it was different from what he'd remembered. The bloodlust had taken away from it all. He'd lived for the kill then, for the chase. Everything was darker then, the lights shone dimmer, the footsteps were louder. Now? Now everything was...perfect. He was caught in the moment. The heat of her body, the smell of her hair, watching her eyes sparkle with reflecting lights. Stefan was...was in love. It was a cheesy, corny, annoying love that his five year old self would have stuck his tongue at and his 17 year old self would have been lucky to have found. It took 165 years but Stefan was home.
Stefan smiled to a vender, digging into his pocket for change only to have hands shooing him away. The man smiled at them and handed Elena a rose, "Ce soir, c'est une belle nuit. Il s'agit d'un bel amour." Stefan watched as the wind picked up her hair and thanked the gentleman before continuing their pace.
The Musée du Louvre came into view, the lights creeping in from open palace windows, street illuminated by lamps. He led her to the Pyramid which shone among the ever present darkness and left her side only to open the door. A man greeted them and Stefan provided his last name before holding a hand out, motioning for her to go inside. He moved behind her, chest pressed to her back and brushed hair away from her neck, kissing at the nape of it. "Tonight, my love, all this is for you. " The guide smiled at them and beckoned Elena to follow him for the ever so intimate and private tour.
