Up and out the rabbit hole he jumped, it seems. This place looked far from familiar. If anything, it looked like as if he went back in time, if only judging the buildings. Well, these did seem like a friendly village of people. Really, that was an understatement, it seems. Several women were looking at him cautiously, even so much as trying to distant their children as far away from him as possible. Good, he didn't want to make contact with your snotty kids anyways.
Here he was, minding his own business when he overheard a group of weirdly dressed men being suspicious that he was one of them. Yeah, okay, who was them? Let them talk all they want. He wasn't the one to confront people of stupid accusations. Can't an innocent man walk throughout a town without having to comment on his attire for the day? Red was a kickass color.
Venturing further, he encountered several more of unfriendly people and eyeful soldiers. Or, that's what he assumed, at least. There were more than just a few, and besides, I'm sure they wouldn't wear that willingly. Finally, he encountered the entrance through the second wall (why they had walls, he had no idea), he was stopped. Surprise, surprise. Honestly, Dante wasn't paying attention to much of what they were saying. Something along the lines of 'suspicious people' walking around. They even threatened to take him into custody if he didn't step away.
Rolling his eyes, he released a scoff. "Really? Is it because on how I'm dressed? Wow, you gentlemen have a poor fashion sense--" Dante shouldn't be talking, thus he pressed on. "Alright, here, let me give you a scenario. Someone's running with a huge, red jacket and needs to get through, are you really going to stop them?" He paused. "Yup, see, he's dead."
That obviously didn't sway them of their answer. Great, looks like he was stuck.
