How to make protective and smell proof cases for only $40 and in 4 steps!
Materials: *rubbermaid container in the size of your choosing *mattress topper foam (¼ inch works best) *gorilla glue *scissors *stickers (optional) *air freshener (optional)
Step one: start by cutting the mattress topper into smaller sections so its easier to work with
Step two: shape the foam, starting with shaping the smaller sides first If youre using a rectangular shaped box. Then shape foam for the bottom of the box. Followed by shaping the remaining two sides. Do a trial run before gluing to make sure it all fits together, starting with the bottom, then the two shorter sides, and finally the longer sides.
Step three: glue the foam starting with the bottom piece following the directions for how to use gorilla glue. If you plan on adding an air freshener i glued mine under the bottom piece of foam. Next glue the shorter sides and finally the longer sides. You will have to keep pushing down the sides of foam until it bonds. At first it seems like it wont but it does after it sets.
Step four (optional): Cut out a piece to lay on top of everything before you close the box for added protection. You can also cut pieces to place between multiple pipes or bowls as ypu choose (Pictured above). Add stickers for a personal touch!
For the smaller container i followed the same steps. But for the pieces i cut for the sides i cut them in half vertically so they werent so bulky but still functioned as a padding.
Enjoy! 👍😘💖
