We're packing and that is kind of stressful in itself.

Add not being able to afford the only thing that helps with my mental disorders: cannabis

It has been a trying week. I think the universe recognized that because yesterday I received a random Holiday card from a distant relative. I recently reconnected with them at my brother's wedding (I'll probably post a picture from that day sometime today actually, we looked cute). We talked and reminisced over random good moments. Inside it read:

"I wanted to get you a gift for Christmas, but I couldn't for the life of me imagine what you'd want most. Happy Holidays to your beautiful family."

A 50$ bill was included. (Keep in mind this relative is in their 80s and almost exclusively uses cash for everything when & if they do go out)

I'm thankful. So, I ran out yesterday and hit the dollar store for some envelopes & my dispensary. I'm a writer so of course, I composed a short 4 page 😂 letter that I'm going to take L to our complex's mailbox to drop off later today.

Cannabis is magic for PTSD. All my despair is gone. The flashbacks are gone. The fear of being attacked at random by a flashback is gone. My sense of what reality is has been restored. It is such a difference from today to 2 days ago. I folded laundry! I'm actually packing and useful. My husband really needs me.
