I’m trying to go to sleep rn but all I can think abt is the future of the characters from the VSMP and how eternity is suffering, death is beautiful, and Pearl being tied to Cleo (along with the fact that basically there is no hope for any of them to be turn back ever) and I need whump fics STAT, ok? I need them, as soon as possible, please please please. I **need** to read a whump fic where Pearl grows tired, decades maybe centuries after, and she misses her humanity but knows it’s gone and there’s no way for her to return to that life, despite Cleo desperately clutching, grasping, clinging to their life together, Pearl knows that all she can look for now is the release of death. We all know Cleo would give up her own life so that Pearl could live as a human immediately, but we also all know this would never, EVER, happen. So all that’s left is for Pearl to pass the final threshold, and whether you have Cleo commit the act and carry that around in her heart as a weight heavier than any other act could burden her with, or if you have her commit the act herself/have someone else do it, leaving Cleo to grieve for eternity, both for an eternity she wanted & which now is out of reach and for an eternity afterwards, since I doubt she’d ever stand to let go, to let Pearl be forgotten, unless she were to lay herself to rest alongside her.
