C7 Libra?
“Haha, you mean besides giving you as much affection and love as I can?” Selena replied teasingly, happy as she could be. “Well, I was thinking maybe we could have an actual date together now that we have time. Nothing too fancy, just an evening together in your home, and let me worry about preparing all the food and such. You sure seemed to appreciate my cooking last time we spent time together, after all.”
“That sounds wonderful.” Vanessa said seriously. Her own cooking left much to be desired, if it wasn’t done over a fire pit. And even then it couldn’t compare to the food of someone who knew how to cook!
“I bet we might even be able to have several of those, if you don’t mind cooking.”
“Yes, well….” Selena smiled back at her beautiful green-haired girlfriend, “…plans are often subject to change. Ever since the bandit activity has died down pretty much entirely since the start of this week, there have been fewer things to do. With how hard I’ve been working, General Duessel suggested I take a break. Actually, he ended up having to order me to take one, and suggested I come to Frelia quite specifically.”
This caused the Fluorspar to giggle softly. “No doubt he knows, and from Prince Lyon, I’m sure. Then again, it’s not like we’ve taken great pains to hide it, have we?” They had no real reason to do so, either, and Selena wasn’t about to complain. Even now there were some sets of eyes upon them. It was even less of a secret in Frelia that the blonde general adored her Vanessa. Her Vanessa…she still couldn’t believe that she could proudly say that, sometimes. That they belonged to each other felt like nothing short of a miracle.
“It appears I won’t be returning to Grado for some time. What ever am I to do? I guess I’ll have to remain in Frelia, stuck with a beautiful pegasus knight.” Ahh, was Selena really acting teasingly?! Gods, Vanessa really had brought new vigor into her life.
“So...” Vanessa said slowly, “It sounds as if we have at least a week together.” That sounded...lovely, even if she still had to do her job in between keeping Selena company. She hummed contentedly.
“Whatever shall we do with all that time?”
Selena’s eyes shone even more than they had been before when Vanessa called her by her first name, dropping any formality, just as she desired so much from the woman she loved. Vanessa’s face, in contrast to Selena’s, was a lot more stoic and always held her strong presence at the forefront. Every last part of her face was smooth and clearly defined, and the blonde never missed a single detail.
“Are you sure about that, Vanessa?” Selena replied with a happy laugh, sounding almost sing-songy in the way she spoke. “Well, I won’t question it if you insist I’m not one. As long as I get to spend more time with you, I’ll take to whatever you tell me.” Her expression softened as she drew in for a deep kiss on Vanessa’s lips…oh gods, her lips were so smooth and sweet and everything wonderfful and aaaaah, she couldn’t get enough.
Lips twitching between maintaining her resting “on-duty” expression, and a full blown smile, Vanessa pressed a kiss to Selena’s jaw. Probably for the best that the general didn’t question the knight, since she was more inclined to being a poor liar when she was brim full of happiness than not.
And she was overfull of happiness at the moment.
Being held by the woman she loved, the pleasant burn of her workout still lingering in her muscles.
A good day, a good turn of events.
“What are you doing in Frelia? I wasn’t expecting to see you until next week at least!” Not that she was complaining in the slightest, but. Unusual happenings in Frelia’s capitol were things she ought to look into.
“It seems like we’re going to be stuck in this building untlil this storm lets up..”
Face twisting into a frown, Vanessa nodded. “I think you’re right. There’s no flying in this weather.” Titania would be blown around like a loose windsock. Terrible.
At least the building was dry.
Leonardo blinked once, twice in immediate response to the knight’s question, grasping for an answer he could deem appropriate- Now that his attention was pulled to the lack of inhabitants of the inn, he felt a chill down his spine. Unnerved but determined to not let it get to him, the archer frowned.
“Somewhat, yes, but I suppose it must have its reasons.” he replied, looking around again, pulling at the hems of his gloves. “It would be even odder if an empty inn would simply be left unlocked, no? If we truly are alone in here, the owners are bound to return soon.”
“We’ve...already been here a while.” Vanessa rebutted weakly, eyes drawn to the exits. She hadn’t checked in the first place, since the windows were open and the fires lit, the door unlocked. All signs that should point to a bustling inn.
And this one was just...empty.
“Should we wait longer?”
Ever since Darkling Woods, she’d been just a tad bit more leery of anything that seemed unreal. An utterly empty inn? Could be a troubling sign.
The general giggled softly and nodded in agreement, holding Vanessa in her arms as she leaned back. “Yes, certainly…especially when you have something always making your life better and better all the time. Oh, I know that’s not what you meant, but I think that applies to far more than training, my love.”
The blonde let a happy sigh escape her lips as she pressed a few more kisses to Vanessa’s cheek. “I do hope I’m not distracting you too much.”
Face flushing, she smiled broadly, “You’re never a distraction, Selena.” She admitted softly, before turning her head to return the kisses. Though, that was probably a lie. Selena was probably the most distracting person ever.
Even simply the way she smiled tended to keep Vanessa’s mind off her duty, and oh her eyes. They sparkled, and the way they crinkled around the edges whenever she was amused!
@staffofaum liked this post for a starter
There was a wide grin on Selena’s face as she suddenly wrapped her arms around the pegasus knight’s waist from behind her, seemingly out of nowhere.
“Hello, Vanessa.” Selena cooed warmly into her ear before kissing her cheek. “Keeping at your training as usual, I see.”
Startled, Vanessa dropped out of her form. “General!” She gasped, before her initial frustration at being interrupted simply melted away. She laughed briefly before leaning into her girlfriend.
“One never stops getting better,” she says simply.

“Horrible.” Was one word he had to say to the subject of the weather- “-The weather outside, I mean. Your home seems to have a fairly friendly climate.”
The blond then turned his head, looking around the rather empty inn with a frown- Brows furrowing in concern as he looked back to the window, where the trees almost looked like they would be uprooted if the winds continued raging like this.
“It’s good we sought shelter here, though- I’m not sure if I’ve already said this, but I’d hate to have to go outside again.”
She followed his gaze, eyeing the empty seats in the quiet inn with a sense of unease. “I agree. Not in this weather. That’s for fools,” and idiot princes, probably. She opened her mouth, and shut it.
Vanessa was probably just being paranoid, after all. The weather was bad, not that it had been great before, and the road the inn was on didn’t lead to any large cities. The creaking of the trees outside the window set her teeth on edge and she shook her head to clear it.
Aw, hell.
“Do you find it...odd, that the inn is so empty?”
Unfortunate | Libra & Leonardo
His head pounded, the once almost-healed cut on his side throbbed, and he felt sick to his stomach- All in all, this was not how he’d have wished to end up, but that couldn’t be changed now, especially with himself barely being able to think straight- He’d never have thought the illness would sweep through this thoroughly, infecting throats, stomachs and open wounds, sweeping him along with the townsfolk during what was supposed to be a short stay.
And his fever was making him feel like he was going to die, too, as unfortunate as that would be. Leonardo let out only a small groan of complaint as he opened his eyes a little, before immediately closing them again.
Eyes watering, Libra made a shushing noise, fingers clenching and unclenching around his mending staff. He could do this. He wasn’t...the best of healers, or the strongest, but he could do this. “You’re going to be okay.” Is what he said aloud, both to himself and the boy on the cot.
He had to think, he needed to breathe. He couldn’t just go in, staff glowing, will shoring up the healing magic. He didn’t have the raw magical strength needed to do that.
Before he could even use magic, Libra needed to clean the wound. Clear it of pus and dirt and gods knew what else. Resting a hand on Leonardo’s shoulder, Libra placed his tool away. “I need to clean your infections, before I can do anything. I’m sorry, it won’t be very comfortable.”
despite my inactivity (aalkds;fj so sorry), i did manage to revamp Libra!

Adriana | Ysolt
caeluminferi:
Adriana hesitated, unsure of what to do - should she go after Ysolt or remain in her place? She didn’t intend to be so harsh & straightforward, but she had never been the most subtle. With an audible groan, the pinkette decided to stay back - for now. That was, until she received an awful headache & KNEW what would follow.
❛ Damn… why now? I’m not finished yet… stay hidden, you brat..❜ The archer muttered, repeatedly hitting herself on the head - even though that was completely useless & wouldn’t help a bit. She knew that in a few hours, she’d WAKE UP AGAIN & SUFFER FROM AMNESIA. Covering her face with her hands, Adriana stumbled back until she hit the wall & collapsed - she was quite the clumsy one.
But when her hands were removed & her face was revealed, something - no, SOMEONE else could be seen.
❛ Ysolt? Heeey, where are youu~?❜ The pinkette questioned, peeking around the corner with slightly narrowed eyes. She appeared to have forgotten about their argument - thus appeared playful and a bit curios. ❛ I have a question!❜
Ysolt had almost passed beyond earshot when Adi - no, Di, called out to her. She’d been around long enough to know about the memory thing, so the shift in demeanor meant she had to shove her pricked pride and the remnants of her own anger aside.
Di didn’t deserve to have Ysolt take out her anger with Adi on her.
“Hey kid,” she said, fondly and tiredly. “What was your question?” She hoped it wasn’t about the weapons and the treasury. She’d had enough of that with Adi, and she really needed to start packing for her trip.
Sticky fingers aside, she needed some sort of legit pretext to be in the city. Maybe it was time to pay her brother a visit.
I sold my soul to bring you back to life after your untimely death and I only have a month left with you so I’m trying to make it count. (mun cackling like a demon in the distance)
Ephraim sucked in a deep breath suddenly and his eyes fluttered open. Where was he?! how was he even thinking?! Hadn’t he died? Ephraim…swore for a moment he caught a glimpse of something…else. Something otherworldly. Something bright. But here he was, letting out deep, heavy breaths, fully alive again. He didn’t know what that had been, but he might not find out again, or at least not for a while…
…and there she was. Vanessa was right beside him. Ephraim smiled slightly, glad to see the pegasus knight, but utterly confused. “Vanessa, what happened?” Ephraim asked. “I thought I…fell saving you from those arrows?”
valorandgold:
Ephraim shook his head slowly. “I…understand not wanting to talk about it but…please, Vanessa…” The prince looked her straight in the eyes, shaking his head. “General Selena has been through so much. If you were to die before the two of you even had a chance, it just might kill her…or if it didn’t, it might destroy the already broken pieces of her heart, and you know as well as I do that if that happened, it would be even worse.”
Ephraim wanted Vanessa to budge on this…she had to. Selena at least deserved that month with Vanessa…as much as Vanessa deserved it with her. The prince knew they shared the same feelings, they just hadn’t said it. “…Vanessa, please. If not for your sake than hers. Go tell her the truth…about everything. About the month, and about your feelings.” If Vanessa would not do it, Ephraim would. Well, he couldn’t leave his bedrest right now, but…well…maybe he could manage it with just a little bit more energy?
Eyes flashing, she snapped at him, “Don’t you dare!“ The breach of emotion let through several tears, and she angrily scrubbed at them. “You don’t understand, I can’t do that to her, because I don’t-”
Don’t know what will happen...after.
And she couldn’t lie to Selena, not to the general herself. But, she could lie to Ephraim. “I don’t care for her that strongly, that I’d want to share those feelings with her.” She sniffed, trying to keep from crying.
She loved Selena, and she loved Prince Ephraim, who despite being a hard-headed ass, was possibly one of her closest friends. “I shouldn’t have said anything at all.
“I should go.”
Unfortunate | Libra & Leonardo
Libra inhaled sharply, and immediately regretted it. The secondary infection was advanced, and the scent of pus and rot assaulted his sense of smell with a viciousness that sent him reeling.
“Gods...”
The illness spreading through the town had clearly weakened its victims, for this wasn’t the only case of secondary infections and complications. This was, however, probably the nastiest.
A New Day || Selena & Vanessa
fluorsparofgrado:
Selena gave her a small laugh, smiling happily at Vanessa. Selena kissed Vanessa’s forehead as the pegasus knight snuggled against her and a happy sigh emitted from the blonde general. The Fluorspar was quite sure she hadn’t been this happy since she’d first become a general. “…I think I’m more proud to call you my own than I am to call myself Fluorspar, Vanessa.” “…ahh, love…” Selena smiled and lifted a finger to her lips. “…remember, I want you to call me by name…Vanessa.”
The blonde kissed Vanessa’s lips for a few blissful moments before putting her arms around her green-haired girlfriend. “…I love you, Vanessa. Rest well.” Selena herself couldn’t sleep. She wasn’t tired and she was too…happy…Too peaceful and content and yet so alive and…happy. But she would be entirely comfortable with Vanessa in her arms, all the same.
Selena’s words brought a bright grin to the pegasus knight’s lips, even as she snuggled into closer (as though that were possible). Breakfast would come after her very comfortable nap in the arms of her girlfriend.
“It seems like we’re going to be stuck in this building untlil this storm lets up..”
Face twisting into a frown, Vanessa nodded. “I think you’re right. There’s no flying in this weather.” Titania would be blown around like a loose windsock. Terrible.
At least the building was dry.
pensivearcher:
Ah, he’d chosen quite the unfortunate time to pass through, then.
Letting out a quiet sigh, Leonardo rubbed his eyes with a single hand, before peering out the window, watching the raindrops fall against the glass in a steady drum. A beat of silence, before he spoke.
“I’m more accustomed to frigid weather rather than this.” he spoke, turning back to face Vanessa. “Snow, sometimes harsh winds that chill to the bone, slippery streets. If it rained, the water would often freeze to ice overnight- At least, it would in the winter, but I suppose that’s obvious.”
“Sounds...icy.” She said lamely. “Further inland, especially towards the mountains, we have similar weather. My hometown didn’t really have a problem with ice, the current comes from warmer climes, and we’re always a little warmer than the rest of the country.”
A pause, when lightning flashed, and a few moments later the thunder cracked.
“It’s just getting worse outside, though...”
