backstory: audrey atreides was a very intelligent and talented witch, coming from a line of witches herself. in 1738, when the witch hunt was still present, they had caught the girl doing healing spells to protect the members of her coven and imprisoned her, she was to be burned at the stake, but not before long-lasting and horrific tortures. the night before her sentence, a vampire had heard the girl cry from the excruciating pain the tortures had caused her, and decided to save the poor woman, turning her into one like them at the age of 20, and giving her power and strength to fight off the ones that wished to end her. not being able to save her family in time, she escaped, many assuming she had died by other means.

༄“You as well!” smiled Audrey at Tessa “So you enjoying the party?” she attempted to make small talk, maybe that’d help her make more friends around town. Seeing as she just had moved there.

“Yes, it’s really amazing. One of my students is throwing it, so I figured I should stop by. Keep an eye on things. And I was invited, so there is that as well,” she joked with a laugh. “What about you?”

༄ Looking around the ball room, the woman entered through the doors after being let in by the host. Audrey’s mouth was agape in admiration of the decoration that was put up for the party, “holy shit” she mumbled to herself. Being so distracted by the environment, she didn’t see the person that was walking by her right, turning around at the same time as they passed her, she bumped into them almost falling over if it weren’t for the other person holding her by her arms. “I am so sorry! I should’ve payed more attention to where i was going.”

Alice admired the décor for a few moments. It was beautiful so she’d give credit there. She hadn’t really ever attended a ball or anything this fancy before. Jostled momentarily she had decided tonight she could putting her anger at bay. “It’s fine. It’s busy in here so you can’t be surprised when it happens. No harm done.”

He was thrown off balance for just a moment at her hug, but quickly recovered. “Well, this is my home. One of them.” He brushed off with a smirk. It has been centuries since he saw the girl he had once taken pity on the girl and saved her. Thanksgiving turning into a small friendship before the two parted ways and lost touch. “How much time do you have?” He said with a small laugh.

I’m usually the one bumping into people and falling all over the place. At least this time I can’t entirely blame my own clumsiness.”
