"I'm so glad that I don't have to carry that heavy thing anymore, my shoulder was almost crying for me" Lonnie said with a shake of her head. "You aren't collecting taxes anymore, are you?" she said jokingly.

"I'm glad that you don't have to go through that physical stress anymore. I hope you are back to doing something you are used to and enjoy." Stan nods in agreement as he responds to her statement. He was soon giving a soft shake of his head before he responds. "No, thankfully I'm not. I am back to being an accountant so, still dealing with all of that but not in the archaic way that lead to so much corruption. Granted that still happens, but there are firmer consequences for it."

Everything that happened back home weighed heavy on him. But he knew that it most likely weighed heavy on all of his friends because how couldn't it? Listening to what Stan was saying, he smiled. "I am glad that you found happiness back home. I hope that she will turn up here because I would love to meet her. But if not then please don't shut yourself off from the possibility of finding love again"

Stan nods silently feeling hopeful he'd see Patty again, but also guilty for even thinking and being tempted to find someone else. To explore a side of himself that he couldn't have easily done back home. "I won't shut myself off. I'll feel guilty about it, but I won't reject a new chance at love if it comes my way."

"There's also someone like this even nowadays, it's good for like a job interview or a formal conversation, but between friends there's nothing wrong with that" Noah replied with a shrug. "We all want to protect our friends in a way or another, though I know that sometimes you can't save everyone" Noah could feel the sting in his chest remembering all of his friends that died in Lakewood. He chuckle. "A good group friends will always have the funny one. I was the one in mine but add a horror movies lover enthusiastic and that's it. And talker, I talk a lot, I must admit it".

Stan nods in understanding. "I was put in a situation like that. Me and my closest friends. I couldn't bring myself to go through with the plan. I knew I would just slow them down so, I just removed my part of the factor from the equation. It seemed the best way to give them the best chance at making it through." He hadn't regretted his choice. What he had regretted was ever encountering that demon alien in the first place and getting put in that situation. "You need to never meet Richie. Or at least not around other people." He jokes with a bit of a smile. "I guess I'd be the old man friend with OCD, pretty sure that's how they all saw me anyway. Never asked."

"Sure you are, babe, sure you are." Richie replied with a nod. "why the hell did you want to be a tax collector? yeah, that is worse! I bet it's boring as hell too."

Stan gives Richie one of those looks like he always used to when they were kids before rolling his eyes. "I didn't want to be a tax collector in that strange medieval flashback. It was just the closest thing to my modern day job and I thought I could help people. Since tax collectors were known to over charge people."

Stan was a little taken back as he hadn't expected anyone to ask him to dance. As much of a wall flower as he was and purposely tried to appear at parties. "Are you sure you want to dance with me? It's not my best skill." He says as he offers his hand back to the other.

"No problem at all, it would be rude of my part to not be polite to you, especially because we're at the same space" Lorna told him, waving her hands. "I'll be back in a minute".

Stan gives a slight hum and nod. "I suppose I've just grown used to people being rude. I don't often like to be proven wrong, but, I'm glad to be wrong this time." He responds with a friendly smile and nod as she goes to get the new drinks.

"You do know you just gave me the plot to IT." Cass told him with a nod. "I'm not sayin' ya lyin' mate, but it just sounds too problematic to be true."

Stan looks at the other in pure disbelief. "You know about IT and think it's some kind of story? My name is Stanley Uris, and my friends and I quite literally fought for our lives against that thing. A lot of other kids weren't as lucky as us because they were alone."

"I'm a jester.. and um, Stan, I don't think you could be a jester. You aren't really that funny." Richie admitted with a shrug. "What were you doing and why do you need a new one?"

"I'm funny, Richie... but you're right that isn't a job I would enjoy in the least." Stan argues back with a light smile. "To me that would be worse than this tax collector job I have now." He adds with a heavy sigh of annoyance.

Stan let's out a heavily frustrated sigh. "I need a new job." He remarks as he stokes his temples before looking over to his friend again. "What do you do here again?" @hiddenpxpercuts

"Yeah, of course . I'm just not used to these things, even if I'm here for a long time now" Lonnie said, though she felt something was off. "Okay, okay. I'll get them for you".

Stan nods and gives a light smile. "Thank you. I really appreciate how you responded." He truly did hate his job. Sure, it was a lucrative field, but that wasn't worth putting up with half of what he came across during collections time. "I don't know why it's set up this way. It isn't logical."

"Look, I get no one likes to see me, but I'm just doing my job." Stan says with a slightly defeated tone. Despite his job was to literally collect it, even Stan hated taxes. "At least with me you know the count is accurate and I'm not padding the count to give myself a raise." @devilsmenu

"Oh, I don't really know what to tell you, man. I eat a lot of weird shit." Shaggy admitted with a slight shrug. "I like to get high and make new creations. You should try them, the food, um, not peer pressuring you into that kinda thing."

Stan was hesitantly curious about what kind of horrid concoctions the other might be making. He was driven to ask for more details and yet fight against it for the survival of his dear sanity. Or at last, what was left of it. "How do you not get sick every day of your life doing that?" Though Stan does give a sigh and shake his head. "I get I look straight laced, and for the most part, I am. But I have actually been high before."

"okay, this is actually awful. why does anyone come to these things?" deena said, trying to keep casual but having to yell in order to even say anything. she had had one cheap beer and that definitely didn't make it worth the crowd or the heat or the headache. "the minute i remember where the fuck the exit is i'm getting out of here."

Stan had been over this experience not even five minutes into it. Not like he was exactly busting at the seems to go in the first place; but still, he thought he should make more of an effort to be social. This Though was the wrong choice. "I made a horrendous choice to be here. It's as loud, juvenile and ... sticky in here as I thought it would be." His eyes light up in relief when she mentions the exit. "Let's find it together. Sticking together to get out is the safest plan incase one of these Neanderthals is drunk enough to try something violent or creepy."

"Oh, that's actually a good idea. Thank you! I almost thought of downloading an app but with an alarm I don't even need it" Lorna said with a small smile. "No problem, I'll be back in a second".

"Of course, you were kind to me so I'm happy to help you in return." Stan responds in a casual tone with a polite smile upon his lips. "Thank you again." He says before he awaits her return while continuing to read his newest book about birds.

"stan.." she called him approaching where he was. "i'm so glad i see you, i'm sorry, about before i mean, finally i remember everything."

Although the voice sounded familiar, Stan waited to smile till he turned to see Bev's face. "Bev." He responds with a happy tone to the name as he also takes steps to meet her halfway. "You don't have anything to apologize for." Stan insists with a very light shake of his head. "I'm glad you're back to yourself again and I'm sorry I didn't find you during all the chaos. I ran into Eddie and Richie but mainly I was trying to avoid my attacker."

"i don't know about you, but i'm so over this week and it's only tursday." georgia huffed as she sat down at the counter of a local cafe. honestly she didn't even get a good look at who was sitting next to her, she just threw her purse on a counter with a sigh. "sorry if i'm being a bit dramatic right now."

"It is a strange week. Though, I have had far stranger weeks in the past." Stan admits with a slight nod as he watches the other get settled in an agitated manner. Pulling his drink slowly to the other side to give her more space. "You're fine. I'm friends with some of the most dramatic people; you just seem to be agitated."

"Wow, you really are a boring individual, you know. No fun whatsoever." Vox sighed. He really missed Hell every day that he met a new person in this city. Which is insane, because he didn't think he would really miss it that much. "Wow. Really? Hm, well, everyone has a kink my guy. That's fine though. You don't have to tell me. I feel like your boring will rub off on me."

"Yeah, I know. I'm a loser and always fucking will be." While that seemed like negative self talk, Stan said it with so much pride as he was proud to be a loser. Stan was truly getting flustered and heated by this exchange, despite his stiff appearance. He rolls his eyes at the other. "What is more intriguing? A buffoon that goes around announcing what he is into or someone that actually makes it a mystery? Either way, you'll never know mine."
