@stan-the--man
You
From my poetry collection, “Shithead Laureate,” available now on Amazon, RIGHT HERE.
i wouldn’t blaze this shit if i were u babe just saying
This poem is to Charles Bukowski's work what a 13-year-old dog with crusty eyes and hip dysplasia is to a champion racing grayhound--and I say this as someone who generally isn't a fan of Bukowski. Sponsoring this to the general population of tumblr is like throwing a chicken bouillon-covered baby into Lake Ponchartrain during the summer alligator migration. You need to be put into a Clockwork Orange brainwashing machine in front of Romantic-Era poetry until every English word coined after 1850 is wiped from your mind and you can start fresh. Embarrassed ketchup. My god.
Did I just kill this guy. Like the critic in Ratatouille.

Enjoy the neck wrinkle on this sheep frog [Hypopachus variolosus] found in Puntarenas Province, Costa Rica, by photographer Jay Murter. These tiny frogs rarely exceed 3.9 cms in body length. They feed on similarly small prey, mainly termites and ants.
Okay a summary cause I love explaining things and fandom history
Collegehumor launches Dimension 20, a real-play DND vodcast with custom, handmade miniatures
The show is an anthology, and each season’s reception varies
At the Start of 2020, following the high of their sequel to their most popular season, they launched Crown of Candy
Crown of Candy was a Game of Thrones/Candyland parody that was significantly darker than other seasons, including multiple PC deaths, on-screen child abuse, war and bloody deaths.
Given that people needed a distraction moreso than usual, Crown of Candy developed an EXTREMELY dedicated and divisive fanbase.
Unfortunately, due to the nature of the season, the fact that it was launched on twitch and YouTube with chat enabled, and some vicious fans, it was an exhausting season for everyone involved.
Some people think that because of this, it may never get a sequel.
That said - they have made the interesting decision to auction off minis from past seasons Starting with a crown of candy, rather than an older season or a side quest.
There was an anthropomorphic carrot that killed a PC and one of the animal companions.
Worth noting that one of the most popular ships is the carrot and the PC he killed.
There was a plot-twist backstabber NPC who is essentially the Tumblr sexy man of dimension20. He’s a sentient slice of cake with legs and everyone just kind of draws him as an attractive guy.
They have been using both characters heavily in advertising the auction – moreso than the actual player characters.
Within the first hour the carrot’s bid broke $2500 dollars
Updates:
Anonymous benefactors are offering several thousand dollars to people who want certain miniatures
Due to shipping restrictions, there are people offering to export it from the US on behalf of other fans
One of the miniatures in the first wave of auctions is an unused ham-dog. A pug that looks like a holiday ham
I’m a little foggy on the details but I think? Laney “caramelindarox” on Twitter? May have started a meme about how much everyone should want the ham-dog. Possibly to overinflate it’s value and detract bids on other minis
The discord server latches on to this meme and has started a church of ham-dog
Additional considerations:
The anonymous bidder who is currently in the lead on the carrot man, has made a twitter to provide a little bit of background on herself*, and assure the other fans that she likes the character, and is not one of the people threatening to destroy the mini.
Some fans are EXTREMELY upset about the auction, believing that the anti-capitalist message of this (paid subscription) real play is sullied by a show-funding / charity auction.’
Other fans are upset that other fans are upset that the bids are far higher than expected, and the mods of the discord have had to shut down a couple of disagreements already.
Even going so far as to harass the miniature’s designer on Reddit.
There is currently an AMA going on on Reddit, where the designer of the miniatures is sharing some behind the scenes work.
It was revealed that the party was supposed to pass by a brothel in the fruit kingdom.
There used to be a Dimension 20 Confessions twitter (that I was not actually around for, and don’t have a lot of details on.) Edit: Confirmed to have been Bad.
August Cloudmancy of Kerapin fame is joking about (threatening to) bring it back for the auction season.
There is a crowdfund going to try to put the miniature of the tumblr sexyman-esque cakeslice man into the hands of, I would say, his most devout followers. Any excess proceeds, or all of the proceeds, should they fail, is going to charity.
The goal is to create a Calroy travel blog, and take pictures of the mini around the world.
Day 2 Updates:
A trailer for a new season is dropping tomorrow and the fandom outside of the discord server is largely too distracted by the auction to speculate as they usually do.
Currently, Liam Wilhelmina, arguably the most popular player character of the season, is up for $5000+. His animal companion is going for $3000+
In the show, he’s referred to as a “War Guy,” when campaign events force him to stop being a peaceful gardener and go grimdark. I’ve heard people use the term “Bidding War Guy,” due to his current status.
Hamdog (which looks like this) has cracked $1500.
There are Twitter accounts, fanart (X, X, X), stat blocks, and fancams for Hamdog and the Church of Hamdog.
Grubnatz in the discord identified which miniature the Hamdog is likely based on. Other fans have suggested purchasing the miniatures it was based on, and organizing to make their own fan-Hamdogs.
Reddit fans are preparing to go to (bidding) war over the Sprinkle mini when it drops. Sprinkle is a sentient, floating sprinkle familiar of one of the PC’s. Critical that you understand it is a sprinkle on a magnet.
A LOT of fans worked extra to put away a little bit more money to buy these minis, but were outbid. Many of them are taking the opportunity to donate their mini-money in to people in need.
Current total, as of 8PM PST 7/19 (Day 2)
$31,332

And a friendly reminder that the fan made charity cookbook, Calorum Cookbook is still available for digital purchase! ♥️ 🍰
Who doesn’t love a chubby baby? Here we see two specimens of western spadefoot toad [Spea hammondii], both tadpoles at different stages of development. It’s a race against the clock for this desert dwelling species, which has to complete development before their temporary breeding pond dries up. Tadpoles take around 30 to 80 days to morph into frogs, but higher temperatures accelerate this process. Images by Kyle McCann.

Meatball has changed the most, she’s SO much darker.
Hmmm… not a large individual. In fact, this Mexican spadefoot toad [Spea multiplicata] is quite small. These toads reach just 1.5 to 2.5 inches in length, and with their mottled brown coloring, they’re often mistaken for stones. This individual was found in Pima County, Arizona, by photographer Perri Miracolo.
Another successful Toad Meetup where I flexed my latest acquisition to a crowd of jealous peers… just kidding. This little Mexican spadefoot toad [Spea multiplicata] was actually found in a parking lot in Hillsboro, New Mexico, by photographer Katie Belle Duke. Quite a rare sight for most of the year, these toads can sometimes be found hopping along roads following periods of rain.
When I was in middle school we would do these weekly things called "Flag Salutes" where the entire school came out to the quad to stand in big ranks and sing patriotic songs. I lived in one of the most conservative counties in America and the teachers took the Flag Salutes very seriously.
We hated them. We didn't really clock the nationalist nature of the thing but we we hated being asked to stand in a big group and sing songs for nobody. It was boring and goofy. Thinking about it now, it really was just our teachers using us as fodder for a Mass Ritual to Prevent 9/11 from Happening Again.
Eventually, some kids developed a sort of game. The ceremony had all these little dramatic pauses between sections of a speech or in-between songs. Kids would wait for those little pauses and, right before the song started, just shout "NINE ELEVEN!" There was a voice for it to. You had to sound kinda like a Patrick Star or a similar exaggerated dunderhead type character.
It made the teachers incredibly mad but nobody ever got in trouble. The trick was to drop the Nine Eleven the moment before the song started so they couldn't stop to focus on who was yelling. Once they start the ritual they couldn't stop it or the spell would backfire and the Taliban Would Get You or whatever.
