Thank You All!!!

Hey all I haven't checked this account in more than two years, I'm after logging back in to remove the account from a few sites (cough cough twitter cough) It's absolutely wonderful to see how people still care for the fanfic that I created back during the height of Covid in Ireland when my mental health was really struggling and this was my main source of creative outlet.

I want to thank each and every single one of you for reading, enjoying and sharing my work it means so much to me more than I can put into words. Currently don't own The Book of Bill but depending on when I get it I may look at creating another fanfic in a similar way, no promises though.

It’s the day of the wedding and our last page ever.

I honestly can’t even begin to say how much everyone’s support of this project has meant to me. When I initially had the idea for the series, I thought I might get 5 or 10 pages at most but then I just kept finding more pages I wanted to include or having more ideas ending on 58 felt like a natural stopping point.

There are some pages I didn’t include but could have, as of now I don’t have any plans to go back and add them in but that may change at some point or be added as extras.

Gay Marriage is legal in Gravity Falls!

I believe that this is a fairly good legacy to have, future generations will get to grow up and marry whoever they love because of me.  Blubs and Durland beat us for the honour of the first Same Sex Wedding though.

We’re getting married today I can’t stop smiling and Fidds knee is bouncing so much that the floor boards are shaking he’s so excited.  We had to wait a month to ensure that Dipper and Mabel were able to attend, their parents and Shermie flew out with them.

It goes without saying that Stan was my best man, Tate both gave Fiddleford away and played the role of his best man. Of course, Mabel was our flower girl she managed to incorporate glitter into the flowers somehow, everything is still shimmering. Dipper was our ringbearer Fidds designed our wedding bands they’re high tech with a bio scanner and can be tracked so Fidds won’t lose his and no one but us can wear them.

We wrote our own vows full of promises and words of love I said he was my one true love as he said the same about me. We kissed in front of the entire town no longer caring who saw us. Tate played Time in a Bottle for our first dance. My baby Brother Shermie cried the entire ceremony.

Four decades later we get to have the life we always wanted together.

Ford and Stan return home to Gravity Falls. Ford has a very important question to ask of Fiddleford. Image description. Journal page with brown ink that reads. I have returned home to Gravity Falls the past year apart has done nothing but further cement me and Fiddlefords devotion to one another. I am going to propose to him with the Mermaids ring it’s something we’ve discussed on our calls but I want to be a gentleman about this I intend to ask Tates permission to marry his Father I want to look into his eyes and get down on one knee as I ask him to be my Husband. Oregon’s marriage laws be damned, in Gravity Falls, you can marry a Woodpecker but I can’t marry my Partner we saved this town if I ask for this law to change, I can’t see them refusing me. I’ve asked Tates permission his answer was a simple “Go make an honest man out of him.” I have petitioned the town Government, all that is left to do now is wait and actually ask him. Tonight, is the night! I’ve planned us a game of D,D and MD the campaign is our love story it will end with my proposal. I hope that he says yes, I’m so nervous. As our game ended, I got down on one knee and asked him, he said yes! He wants to get married as soon as possible says he’d rather not wait a moment longer than necessary, and that we’ve waited for far too long as it is.

Ford writes a letter to Mabel letting her know that he ran into some friends of hers.

My dearest Grand Niece Mabel.

I hope that this letter finds you and your family well, I thought you would be interested to know that I made the acquaintance of a friend of yours during Stanley and I’s travels.

He said his name was Mermando and that you had helped him to return to his family, when he told his clan that we were your Grunkles they were so grateful that they insisted Stanley and I stay with them for a while.

I regret to inform you that he seems unhappy in his marriage to The Queen of Manatees, whilst we were on the topic of marriage, I mentioned my plans to propose to Fiddleford, the Mermaid clan immediately began to craft an engagement ring for me as is their custom when one of their own is to be wed, by the time that they had finished they handed me a beautiful band of wrapped silver threads, with a pearl in its centre offset by coral beads.

I trust that you can keep this to yourself with the exception of Dipper of course, I myself could never keep secrets from my twin and it would be foolish to expect you to do what I could not.

PS Thank you for the colouring pencils I have been using them but am still more comfortable with my inks.

PPS The knitting lessons are going well I made Stan a sailor’s cap as practice.

Ford and Stan set sail leaving Fiddleford in Gravity Falls

Stan and I embark on our journey today.

Fiddleford was there on the pier waiting to say goodbye, he made sure to remind me not to stay up too late, to send post cards and photos back to him Tate as well as Dipper, Mabel and also Shermie.

I reassured him that I’d look after myself and if not that I was certain that Stan would kick my butt if I didn’t to which he agreed immediately.

We have decided to call on webcams at least once a week more often if conditions permit it, I have no doubt that our WI-FI signal will be exceptional given all of the technology that Fiddleford has designed for our journey.

Stan gave Fidds a one-armed hug, as he made his way on to the boat with our bags.

Fiddleford kissed me goodbye neither of us looking to make sure that we were alone a habit that was remarkably freeing after checking for so long.

Stan made a gagging noise from the boat and we laughed as he shouted “Ugh old nerds in love gimme a break.”

“I love you Fiddleford Hadron McGucket see you soon.”

“I love you too Stanford Fillbrick Pines see you soon.”

He waved us goodbye till I lost sight of him.

The twins make their journey back home after the summer

Dipper and Mabel made their journey homeward today, my darling Fiddleford had planned to come and say goodbye to them but Tate surprised him with lunch and they lost track of time.

I’m sure the kids understood and weren’t to upset I’ve already heard them affectionately referring to him as Grunkle Fidds.

An expression that never fails to spark pure delight on Mabel and Fidds faces alike she’s already promised to knit us matching sweaters and send them to McGucket’s Hootenanny Hut! as well as the Stan o War II if she can figure out how to get post to a boat that girl is a treasure.

Dipper likewise has taken to Fidds rapidly and is excited to have another person to play Dungeons, Dungeons and More Dungeons with, he’s going to try and arrange some online games for the three of us, I’m glad that those two understand all of this new-fangled technology as I am woefully lost.

Stan still calls him Fiddlenerd but he says it affectionately Fidds has taken to playfully name calling him right back. Stan also gave the whole spiel of “Don’t you dare go breaking my Brothers heart or I’ll break your legs” to which Fidds just rebuked “And if ya get him lost at sea I’ll be sure ta have the Gobblewonker come rescue him an eat ya.” Stan clapped him on the shoulder as they laughed together.

Tate as he now goes by has accepted my relationship with his Father with wide open arms saying he’s never seen his Dad smile as much as he does when we are together.

Fiddleford has suggested that Stan and I move into the mansion when we return from our travels seeing how Soos, Melody and Karen have now moved into the shack.

Ford celebrates the twin’s birthday, makes plans with Stan for the future and finally comes out of the closet. Image description. Journal page with brown ink that reads. Today was the twin’s 13th Birthday party, Mabel destroyed the memory gun I don’t think that I could be more proud of her if I tried. I asked Stanley to join me sailing around the world he agreed just like I had hoped he would. I also finally got up the courage to tell him about Fiddleford and I, he just clapped me on the shoulder and said “I’m not surprised Sixer you two nerds were made for each other, I’m happy for you Bro.” I have seen unknown universes, extraordinary creatures, been the conduit for a demon and yet telling my Brother that, was one of the most terrifying and rewarding things that I have ever done. I saw Fiddleford and Tate talking afterwards, I went over and introduced myself to him as his Fathers partner. I did not expect him to remember me he was only three years old the last time that I spoke with him but he knew precisely who I was. It is unsurprising to learn that he inherited his Fathers eidetic memory and gift for engineering. For the first time I do not feel the need to hide who I am.

As much as we hate to separate again after so long apart, we have both decided that we need to spend this time repairing other relationships. He finally has a chance to reconcile his differences with his son Tate the same as I have with Stan it would be reprehensible to squander these new opportunities afforded to us.

Those laptops he was so proud of in the eighties have taken off like wildfire, I am grateful as it will offer us the chance to talk and see each other even across the seas.

Even without his memories his intellect is unmatched.

I didn’t mention our Parallel family.

As he plucked the first few chords to Time in a Bottle, I was transported to nights in our dorm room ceasing my studying simply to listen to him sing and watch him play, my eyes grew damp with tears, he remembered our song.

I don’t believe I ever mentioned this before. His Cubic’s Cube was the first gift that I ever got him, I didn’t have much money in college but I knew he adored puzzles, when I saw it in a store window, I instantly thought of him and bought it immediately, that he still has it almost forty years later touches my heart.

Ford reunites with Fiddleford after all the years apart

I am beyond thankful to have gotten this second chance with him.

He sat me down and asked a great many questions that I was only too happy to answer, it delayed me asking the one question that even now I was still terrified of asking.

After hours of polite conversation and catching up I finally asked him.

“How much of… our Partnership do you remember Fidds, er McGucket?”

He leant forward and took my hand in his before he answered me.

“Evrythin, Ford, parta the reason I hadta use the gun yer too unforgettable”

He kissed me and it felt like the decades apart faded away to nothing in that moment it was just us Fidds and Ford like it was always supposed to be. Suddenly my next question was clear but I felt like a nervous blushing teenager all over again asking him.

“Would you like… to um be partners again?”

“Been waitin ta hear that close tuh thirty years now Ford.”

Another kiss was his answer. It felt as though I was finally home after decades away.

Ford reconsiders his thoughts on remaining alone.

Without Dipper Fiddleford still wouldn’t know himself. I don’t want to be alone anymore! I am going to try to win him back if he will still have me. He still holds my heart and after our reunion I believe that he still feels the same towards me.

I have Stans mistake to thank for meeting my Fiddleford. Surely there are things stranger than soulmates in this universe, it is not so absurd to think that I found mine, at Backupsmore.

Ford regains one singular good memory from Bill’s harassing.

As much as I loathe, detest and curse Bill’s name there is one thing that the monster has given me.

His power over my dreams even whilst used to torment me have allowed me to recall my beloved’s eyes in perfect clarity for the first time in decades.

I had forgotten if they were grey or green or blue but now, I remember his eyes are as deep, blue and mysterious as the oceans.

I just wish he hadn’t shown me how terrified he looked after the portal accident.

Dipper sees Fords memories so he has to explain them to him.

Thirty years on and I’m still facing the consequences of not destroying that blasted gun!

Dipper saw my memories, once the situation was sufficiently deescalated, he asked me about some of what he saw.

How was it easier to explain who and what Dimension 52 was or that Crampelter was my childhood bully, than it was to put into words what I was sorry to Fiddleford for.

What was I supposed to say to that question one with no simple answer., in the end all I replied with was “For letting him down.”

Ford comes up with a plan to protect Dipper from Bill.

Thirty years later and Bill is still tormenting my family, I hope that things did not go as badly for Dipper as they did for myself. I must try and find some way to protect him from possible future attacks. Jheselbraum helped me (see page 240) unfortunately this is not an option available to Dipper, I have a machine I believe could help. I believe Fidds noticed when I changed, alas I remain uncertain.

This is the photograph that I showed Parallel Fiddleford after being held in my wallet for over thirty years it was no longer in the pristine condition that it once had been.

Ford tells Parallel Fiddleford all about his many regrets and mistakes.

I regaled him with my tale lamenting how things ended, telling him that I did not even know if my love still lived.

Nearly four decades worth of regret poured out of me hearing how perfectly things could have been if only I had just listened to him, he’d never had made that damned gun, Shifty would have been frozen before he could betray us, he’d have never gotten sucked into the portal, neither would I, we could have been happy like our parallel selves. Thirty years on I still carried a picture of us, damaged with age and from being looked at too many times over the years. I showed it to him. “I’m grey!” He sounded more shocked at that than anything else, I couldn’t help the laughter that started, it felt good laughing with him seeing him smile again even though he wasn’t my Fiddleford.
