I don't think Kyle cares what language the other speaks.

It's just that the first time he was scared, considering he thought it wasn't you who said it.

When he found out you spoke another language, he asked you to translate a song or a book or two. He probably asked you to translate everything in the world from time to time.

Nicknames...? The first time he frowns at an unknown word and then asks you to translate. If you refuse, he'll just write it down somewhere and then translate it himself afterwards.

He tries to give nicknames in your language, too. You're still trying not to die from how much his pronunciation suffers.
