ooh! for headcanons and art stuff, what would the Vees do if vox got hurt/sick and dropped to cope with it? I'm talking a bit seriously, like getting nicked by angelic steel during an extermination, because I think that would be the only thing to really shake overlords with thier power.

(this takes place just after the extermination at the beginning of season 1)
π©Ή Vox got hurt during the extermination! An angelic spear caught him in the gills, causing him breathing problems and a lot of pain.
π©Ή He dropped while Valentino and Velvette were bringing him back to V Tower. Normally when he's hurt, he'd be swearing and complaining bitterly, but here he was just... quiet.
π©Ή Val & Vel didn't realize he was little until they got him back and laid him in bed, where he kept trying to curl up on himself and suck his thumb.
π©Ή Now this is an entirely different situation for the other two to deal with, and they know it. Val gives him his paci to keep him occupied, and uses his multiple hands to hold him down and soothe his squirming.
π©Ή Normally Vox's littlespace is playful and chaotic, but now it's different. He's stubborn, uncomfortable, and unbelievably fussy.
π©Ή Velvette cleans his wounds and gets him bandaged. Vox hates the texture of the bandages and the sting of the disinfectant, making him whine and cry the entire time.
π©Ή Poor Vox hates everything about this situation. The pain, textures, vulnerability... little guy just lays there and cries softly
π©Ή Val gives him lots of cuddles, forehead kisses, and praise in hopes to cheer him up. Velvette isn't as much of a physical person, but she still provides support by giving him whatever he needs/wants during that time
π©Ή For the first few days he can't get out of bed. Val and Vel don't want him to agitate the wound so they keep him company the whole time, that way he doesn't feel alone.
π©Ή Because he can't leave his bed, of course he's padded (which he also hates) but his caregivers understand, and are extra gentle with him and try not to bring unnecessary attention to it.
π©Ή He tries, really tries, to be good for his mama and dada, but he's in so much pain that he gets snappy all the time. He's not good at being vulnerable or showing gratitude, both in and out of littlespace. He might apologize later after being bratty, but not every time.
π©Ή He mainly just sleeps for those first few days, and when he starts feeling better its a whole new problem because now he has the energy to play and be rambunctious but he has to stay in bed.
π©Ή Val goes out and buys all sorts of shark plushies and his favorite snacks to cheer him up while he's on the mend.
π©Ή They also play games together and watch cartoons to pass the time. Vox also has iPad time (ipad kid lol)
