Simple ways to work with the moon

🌙 Practice at night, ideally when the moon is visible and high in the sky.

🌙 Follow the moon phases in your practice. Start new projects on the new moon, celebrate during the full moon, and then recharge.

🌙 Leave out jars of water at night during the full moon. This is called moon water and can be used in all kinds of spells.

🌙 For shadow work, leave out jars of water during the new moon instead.

🌙 Charge your crystals, tarot deck, and other magical instruments under the moonlight to cleanse and recharge them.

🌙 Research what offerings suit the moon (white flowers, silver items, milk) and leave it outside as a gesture.

🌙 Wear its colours: silver, white, or soft blues and greys.

Wash Cloth Spell Energy Work

Limpiar Malas Vibras (Clean Bad Vibes)

Ingredients:

5 Fresh Lemons and peel

4 bunches of Fresh Basil, torn

1/2 cup Coarse salt (Kosher)

24 oz White Vinegar

1 gal Water

Squeeze fresh Lemons and put peels into mixture. Handle Basil roughly and tear it into mixture. Put in 1/2 cup of salt. Add 24 oz vinegar. Dilute with 1 gal of water. Stir. Steep overnight. Strain. Clean your area.

Try this. The bad vibes dissolve. Useful for arguments, high emotional situations, and illness.

Don’t assume that burying automatically means straight in the earth, or not on one’s property. It could mean buried in a flower pot, in a box in a garden bed, wrapped in protective material and buried under a rose bush etc.

Common sense goes a long way in witchcraft.

As witches, we often pay attention to the signs the natural world offers us. Sometimes the lesson isn’t mystical at all. Sometimes it’s a reminder that we are connected to the land, the forests, and one another in ways we can’t always see.

Take a moment to appreciate the strange beauty of that crimson sun, but also hold a little space for the people, animals, and wild places affected by the fires.

May the rains come soon, and may those on the fire lines return home safely.
