This is my first time posting here, but I really want to hear from my fellow POC. Is anyone else tired of reading stories where it’s all about the main character x reader? You dive in, expecting a really inclusive narrative, but then it hits you: “Their cheeks glowed pink!” Seriously? Where am I getting that rosy hue? Or when the character casually puts their hair into an easy ponytail—come on, it takes me forever just to get my hair in a ponytail! You know what I mean, right..??

It's frustrating when the story drops hints that suggest the 'reader' is white. It really grinds my gears, and I wish writers would stop doing that, or at least include a warning that the reader character is going to be white. I want stories to be genuinely inclusive and for writers to be more flexible in how they describe characters. It’s disappointing when you can tell that a writer based their characters on white experiences and WHITE PEOPLE. but thats all, thanks for listening to my ted talk!!

Now the funny thing is, the TF141 haven't met their soulmates yet, but all of them wear an insult. They make jokes about it, how their soulmates will get along swimmingly or not at all. And how glad they are it's someone who can stand their ground.

Although that probably means the cute secretary Laswell recommended isn't for any of them. They are soft and polite, helpful, never crossing the line, firm but professional. That's at least what Laswell said. And it seems to be true, since you barely look them in the eye and only nod politely when you arrive on the office.

It's a busy day and you immediately dive into work, only emerging, when your new coworkers drag you to the nearest pub to get to know you better. Which happens to be the same pub the 141 like to get a cold pint sometimes. A few drinks in, groups are mingling and you hear Soap making a joke about how he finally can get rid of the pesky paperwork since you are here now.

The alcohol gives you enough courage to stand up and walk over hands on your hips and taking a deep breath.

What follows is a very detailed and graphic description of the state their reports are in, how their handwriting would make a good encryption because nobody with a sound mind would dare to read something that looks like satanic chicken scratchings and you really hope that the mystery stain on some forms is coffe and no body fluids.

You don't register how they all stare at you, eyes glued to your face as you spit out the words they carry on their skin.

Because I have been thinking. After that moment in the pub, your friends probably pull you aside and the team has no chance to say anything to you. The next days you do your best to avoid them, oblivious to what actually happened. So it has been weeks without any of them actually talking to you, because you are so on edge, you can't face them. Although you still wait for some sort of consequence.

What you don't know is that they are fighting over who gets to talk to you first. They feel your words burning on their skin, waiting to complete the bond.

And they don't even know how to go on from that. How to share. None of them ever thought about something like that.

Meanwhile you don't have a clue, because your words look like they were crossed out several times, you always assumed your mate was gone or something. You never had the courage to really look at it, otherwise you might have noticed how there were several words written over each other, as if people were talking at the same time.

There’s something that’s so very hypnotic about Gaz to me, it’s kinda like how in some stories vampires have like mind control abilities or whatever, that’s lowkey how he feels to me. Like he’s so captivating it’s insane to me idk.

There’s just something about his eyes that I legit love so much like I genuinely get flustered looking at pictures of him sometimes, I absolutely hate eye contact but if I could I’d hold eye contact with Gaz for the longest time possible and that kinda gets me flustered because holding eye contact with someone feels extremely intimate to me.

I’m genuinely not normal about him like holy shit and it kills me cuz he’s deadass so underrated and overlooked by people in the fandom sometimes like you have a beautiful black man in front of you and you just ignore him like this ARE YOU INSANE???????

In conclusion, Gaz is awesome and beautiful and everyone should love and appreciate him more immediately.

no worries!!! i actually do draw him A LOT lol, i just don’t post the other members often because i’m on a ghoap spree atm 💯💯 i’ve posted a few drawings of him and price i think a while back but i privated the post. but i’m very willing to post all of my gaz work when i get to them after my requests ^^

i also have a ton of drafts for each of the members, but i’ve finished 0 (lined one maybe) 😢 i’m just very slow and often start new projects without finishing the others.
