Jaina Solo Fancasting Resource
Jaina Solo-Fel has her mother’s looks with brown eyes, dark brown “straight, shoulder-length hair” that is “as rich and thick as her mother’s” and fair skin. She is of short stature, standing at only about 4 ft 8 in.
Ages: 13-36
13-16 (Jedi Training)
16-20 (Yuuzhan Vong War)
26-27 (Dark Nest Crisis)
31-32 (Second Galactic Civil War)
34-36 (Post Second Galactic Civil War)
Note: I’m trying to pick actresses who have usable footage, mainly where the attire wouldn’t be out of place in the GFFA, so bear that in mind. Movies/shows generally film for a year prior to release, so that's how I'm calculating age. I used IMDB for height, as it can vary from source to source.
Jennifer Connelly - Sarah Williams - Labyrinth (1986)
She was 14-16 during filming, so good for Jaina's Jedi training. Her hair is straight, but is longer than shoulder length. I would consider it dark brown to black in color. Her clothes are decent for the GFFA. Her eyes aren't brown though. She's also taller than Jaina at 5 ft 6½ in. Connelly is Jewish, like Carrie Fisher.
Olivia Hussey - Juliet Capulet - Romeo and Juliet (1968)
She was 15 when filming started and some outfits work better for Jaina than others. In the film, she has straight, dark brown/black hair that is long. Her eyes are not brown. She was 5 ft 2 in.
Keira Knightley - Gwyn - Princess of Thieves (2001)
Another 15 year old, this time a fancast that would make Jaina strongly resemble her grandmother. Her hair is light brown and while it’s long at the beginning, it is near shoulder-length for most of the film. The costumes for this film work well for Jaina. Knightley has brown eyes and stands at 5 ft 7 in.
Hailee Steinfeld - Juliet Capulet - Romeo and Juliet (2013)
Another Juliet! She was 16 during filming, so good for the end of her Jedi training and the beginning of the Yuuzhan Vong War. Her hair is brown, but it is curly and longer than Jaina's hair. Her eyes are brown. She's 5 ft 8½ in and Jewish.
Hailee Steinfeld - Petra Arkanian - Ender's Game (2013)
A more sci-fi alternative. Filmed in the same year as above. Costumes work a little better. Her hair is straighter and often pulled back. It is longer than shoulder-length.
Mackenzie Foy - Clara - The Nutcracker and the Four Realms (2018)
She was 16 during filming and wears mostly a purple dress. She has straight, dark-brown hair that is longer than shoulder length. Foy is 5 ft 2½ in. Her eyes are not brown.
Sarah Bolger - Mary Tudor - The Tudors
She was around 16-17 at the start of the show. She is 5 ft 4 in and has dark brown hair in the show. She wears 16th century England-inspired clothing. Her eyes are not brown.
Emilia Jones -Â Orla - Horrible Histories: The Movie - Rotten Romans (2019)
Jones was 16-17 during filming, so good for the Yuuzhan Vong War. She wears a blue tunic. Her hair is light brown and longer than shoulder length. Her eyes are brown. She is 5 ft 6 in.
Hanna Mangen Lawrence - Seppia - Spartacus (2010)
While she has brown eyes and dark brown hair, her hair is curly and longer than shoulder length. She would've been 17-18 in the first two seasons, so good for the Yuuzhan Vong War. Some clothes fit the GFFA better than others, but it's all Ancient Rome inspired wear. She is 5 ft 5½ in.
Kaya Scodelario - Catherine Earnshaw - Wuthering Heights (2011)
She was 18-19 during filming. The attire in the film is alright, but close-up shots would work best. She also has one scene in Clash of the Titans (2010) where she was 17 (rightmost image). She has dark, curly brown hair that is past shoulder length and her eyes are not brown, but she is a popular fancast for Jaina. She is 5 ft 6 in.
Demi Moore - Â Patricia Welles - Parasite (1982)
She was 19-20 when filming. She is 5 ft 5 in. She wears plaid for a bit, but also has a top that's brown and works well. She has brown hair, but her eyes are not brown. Her hair is straight and longer than shoulder-length.
Not really suggestions but actresses that seem to be the base of her appearance from the official cover artwork for the books she was featured in that were pretty popular in the early Mil. Kate Beckensale Odette Yustman Erica Durance (not sure about this one but there is one piece that kind of favors her) For suggestions I kind of favor Poppy Drayton as she resembles some of the models/actresses they used as stock for her artwork.
