Heya! My name is Starbristle, but you may call me Star. Welcome to my blog!
A little bit about me:
I go by he/him pronouns. Though, I do not mind being referred to with neutral terms.
I reside in the kingdom of Pharloom. I spend most my time exploring these lands, but my home is in Far Fields.
I love music and performances, and have a soft spot for gothic organ music.
Some rules for this blog:
I do not allow hateful speech or people on this blog. {No bigotry}
I have heard of strange bugs called "magic anons". They are welcome to interact with me within reason.
This somewhat related to the previous rule: I do not wish to become inebriated in any way and have no interest in drink or drug (although Plasmium does seem interesting...). Do not give me anything of the sort or make me intoxicated.
I also have no interest in - what is it called? - NSFW interactions, and will not answer any asks of this nature.
In my quest to explore every corner of this kingdom, I made the horrible mistake of venturing into the citadel's ward. What I have seen there has deeply disturbed me, and I do not wish to discuss it. {Do not send any asks regarding Whiteward, it makes both Star and the mod deeply uncomfortable.}
{OOC info below the cut}
This blog is run by @the-rats-are-partying; you may call me Rat. Please refer to me with they/them pronouns. I am a minor.
I am new to roleplay and trying my best. Please be patient and correct me if I do anything wrong.
If you have any questions about these rules, please don't hesitate to dm me, I don't bite. Usually. (/hj)
Anything OOC will be in {these brackets} and red. {Like this}
While I am an artist, please do not expect me to answer your ask with a drawing, as I do not want to disappoint you.
Please dm me before trying to start an arc with Star. However, please note I will probably not be up for anything high-commitment. (It really depends though)
I do not know how the combat system works, so please don't try to battle Star with it.
This blog will contain spoilers for both Hollow Knight and Silksong. Please do not send me Sea Of Sorrow spoilers when it comes out. (I will update this rule when I have finished the DLC)
Star does not currently have a ref sheet. I'll get around to making one eventually. (And will add it here when I do)

Hmmm.....that is a difficult question. I would say....
(He pauses, thinking.)
...Shellwood. The plants are gorgeous. There is clean water. It is positively covered in foliage. There is quite a lot of biodiversity. I like the sounds that the wildlife make. They make for a good ambiance of sorts. Oh, and it is nearby a town, which is nice because I can easily go there to refill on supplies if I need to. Or take refuge there if I get into any sort of trouble.
Do you think the muckroaches in bilewater would make good pets if you cleaned them and taught them manners?
Hmmm....what an interesting question. I had never thought of that.
But to answer your question, yes, I would like to think they could make good pets. Although I am unsure of how one would train them. I am certain someone could figure it out, though.
Finally! I have washed all of the sand out of my fur; which was no small feat, considering I was absolutely covered in it.
This rest in the spa has restored my energy; I am more than ready to resume my travels. Where to next? Hmm....
Maybe I should trek down to the bilelands. This may sound odd, but there is an area within them in which one can hear the most beautiful, haunting, positively enchanting organ melody. I have heard tales of an 'exhaust organ' nearby, which is most likely the source of the music. I am considering venturing into it. I would very much like to meet the individual responsible for such a breathtaking performance. (Or in the very least explore the place.)
Star is simply a shortened version of my full name, Starbristle, which was given to me by my tribe when I was very little. It is similar to how most bugs are named by their parents at birth. Except my mother was not around very often - because she was busy being a god, I suppose - so I was named by my other kin.
(He pauses, completely taken aback. He sits in silence for several seconds, as if processing what she just said. When he finally responds, his speech is not aggressive like before, but weak and confused.)
