Hey, I know I’m not on here that much but this is super important and I know this isn’t what the blog is for, but again, IMPORTANT.
My best friend and basically online mom/sister/person at this point needs your help.
She needs a lot of help right now and this is what she writes for her gofundme.
“Hello, my name is Gigi and I’m 22 years old. I live to draw and paint. And I’m a full time retail worker, barely scraping by with what I make. Last year, I had to sign up for health care, and due to my financial situation, opted for the most affordable plan. The one with a whopping $4,000.00 deductible. As of April of this year, I have noticed a large lump on my right breast growing and hurting. I had a mammogram done and the results aren’t 100% conclusive. What I’ve been told it’s a hamartoma, with a 17% chance of it being or becoming cancer. My doctor and my surgeon would like to nip this in the bud, and scheduled a surgery on the 16th of May and also do a biopsy on the mass to confirm if it’s malignant or benign. My boyfriend, Matthew, his mother and my family help me anyway they can with my expenses. But the surgery, is just way to much money for us to afford. My boyfriend and I have been trying to take out loans to be able to cover these expenses, but with little luck. The surgery alone is a total of $1,590.00. That is not including the surgeon’s fee, the anesthesia to be used on said surgery, the stay at the surgery center I’ll be staying at and the medication I’ll be using after it’s all done to prevent infection and the pain. So after all of that, we’re not even sure what the full amount will be. Right now, I’m just trying to cover the deductible of my insurace. I would never ask for help like this, as I am a very stubborn person. But I’m scared. Terrified, even. And it would mean everything to me if you could spare whatever you can to help.”
