while we’re just as excited about the opening of star crossed as you are, we do have some news about our opening! we’ve hit some road blocks we weren’t anticipating and in the interest of opening the best site possible for you guys, we’ve decided to push back the opening. instead of opening tonight, we’ll now be opening tomorrow, february 24 at 5 pm est.
we understand this might be an inconvenience for some of you and we really, truly do apologize. we hope you all understand and will join us for our opening tomorrow evening instead! if you have any questions, comments, or concerns, don’t hesitate to reach out to us via our ask box!
the staff team is bumping the opening time by a few hours so all of us can be online! the application and all the graphic sizes you’ll need are posted right here so you can hit the ground running as soon as we post the link. ♡
star crossed has a shipper-style application consisting of a basic information tab, a shipper tab, and a projects tab. apologies for not being able to set up a codepen so you can live preview, but opening is not too far away so you should be able to check it out soon!
where it says ‘membergroup’, replace that with your character’s member group name (together as one word if it’s multiple, ie. cafe au lait would become cafeaulait.) the projects tab is to list your character’s career history. use the category titles as you see fit– an athlete might have specific teams as their category titles, while an actor might have ‘television’ and ‘film’ or ‘acting’ and ‘producing’ as theirs.

on site, you’ll need a 190x370 avatar, a 900x250 banner, four gifs (any size is fine, but two will display as squares and the other two as rectangles.), and a 450x200 app image. we will have a staff graphics request thread on site if you need assistance!

you’ll be hard pressed to find an americano whose living space or physical appearance isn’t pristine, put-together, and polished. they’re the over-achievers and do-gooders of the world. with such an ingrained sense of “right” and “wrong,” americanos are especially hard on themselves if they’ve betrayed their strict personal code. since these impossibly high standards translate to the outside world as well, they’re pretty hard to impress. and if you do happen to earn the respect of an americano, you better not do anything to mess it up.
italian sodas will do anything to make sure their friends, family, and co-workers are existing in harmony. usually the “voice of reason” when something has gone wrong, it’s very rare to find an italian soda willing to blindly jump into conflict without knowing the nuances of both sides. despite possessing immense natural talent for conflict resolution, italian sodas tend to simplify complex issues if a compromise isn’t met (when this happens, they usually end up making everything worse).
most hot cocoas have some manifestation of the “peter pan” complex (in other words: they refuse to grow up). their gregarious, high-spirited personalities usually make them very popular in their social circles. cocoas are almost always “up to something,” typically sporting a coquettish grin and mischievous glint in their eye. while entertaining and charismatic, hot cocoas can also be scattered and undisciplined. when bored, they especially struggle with impulse control.
oozing strength and self-confidence, irish coffees are unafraid to let the world know how they feel. driven entirely from a place of self-motivation, irish coffees fixate on independence and refuse to be anything but self-reliant. at their best, irish coffees are awe-inspiring and heroic, assuming bold leadership roles and enacting positive change. at their worst, they’re ego-centric, dictatorial, and excessively controlling.
a cafe au lait has a unique talent for giving the warmest hugs and dishing out the sweetest compliments. the very definition of “humble to a fault,” cafe au laits are motivated by a place of pure altruism. with that in mind, these individuals can become the personification of a welcome mat and constantly open themselves up to being taken advantage of and “walked all over.” it takes them a while to realize when this has happened, but when they do, they retreat inside themselves for a little while. but once healed, their heart always seems to go back to dangling around their sleeve.
vibrant and confident, matchas know what they want and exactly how they’re going to get it. once they’ve set their eyes on a prize, there’s really no stopping them. most end up reaching the stars; very few fall flat on their face (when they do, it’s always in a cloud of dizzying spectacle). since they are so ambitious, matchas can come across as hyper-competitive, even to those who crave healthy competition. those who are more passive in nature struggle to relate and are usually put off by their vibrant, go-getter personalities.
with a thirst for knowledge, cold brews prefer to sit back and observe. they have an uncanny knack for identifying patterns and pin-pointing flaws in a system, making them extremely useful in emergency situations. cold brews aren’t without their quirks though, and they certainly possess many of them! most of the time it is precisely the “little spark of madness” that inspires their most visionary ideas. if they aren’t challenged intellectually, they tend to become cynical and isolated. nothing but the cold, hard facts for these folk!
desperate to maintain a sense of authenticity in this rapidly changing world, london fogs are incredibly self-aware. while deeply passionate and highly emotional individuals, they are rarely (if ever) cloying. in fact, london fogs have a tendency to withhold themselves, especially around those they don’t trust. if they happen to withhold negative feelings for too long, they can suffer from fits of self-indulgence and melancholy.
while not bursting with an extraordinary flavor profile, these folk are steadfast and reliable. cups of joe naturally gravitate towards behind-the-scenes roles and are perfectly content cheering their more status-conscious friends on from the sidelines. however, if the semblance of structure and security is ripped away from them, cups of joes tend to freeze up. regardless, whether you’ve suffered from the world’s worst hangover or spent the day in a sleep deprived state, a cup of joe is always there to make the day a little less crappy.
