Rewatching ep7 and realizing that Arthur used to be Emizel. Before the vampire world fucked his life. It's not just his siblings he sees in the twins, it's himself, too. Grizzly did point them out when Shilo's world fell apart, but I feel like he never related himself to Emizel nearly as explicitly.

It's weird that it took so long for me to notice, Grizzly literally labels his human self as a delinquent. He had a small moment of acting like his old self in London, and that was spent tying hunters' shoes and running away. I just think it's the fact that he had such a loving family that adored him nonetheless. A full family that laughed rather than yelled when he pulled little pranks. Under a better upbringing, his ways of acting out were more playful and less dangerous.

And yet, in the end, it didn't matter. Just like Shilo and Emizel, his family was stripped away from him and he was left alone. All he can do now is try to find comfort in those that are going through exactly what he did in hopes that this time, they won't follow down his century-long path of self-destruction.

I am both so intrigued and so confused by Shilo’s little serpentine details. Bizly has something specific in mind, and it’s been there since episode one, where Shilo’s eyes were described with slit-like pupils.

Serpentis is a power in the book, the first two dots flavored with snake-like eyes and a forked tongue. But he doesn’t have Serpentis. The actual powers it gives you are not present at all in his character. His tongue turns into that of a snake’s when he’s using Thaumaturgy. The Path of Father’s Vengeance has nothing to do with snakes.

Making this post as a call for help for anyone who might know/understand if there’s significance to this, mechanically and/or narratively. The thought has been nagging at me and I don’t know what to do with it.
