I mostly interact with content from the pitt, life is strange, house md, high potential, garfield, and the sfw agere community!! I am autistic, and not good with social interaction. Therefore, I may not post or interact with people much, but I know lots of people get uncomfy w blank accounts which is entirely valid, so I wanted to explain a bit abt myself :D

I have an ao3 account with the same username, but I don’t write as much as I’d like, nor do I finish the drafts I start lol so there’s only one fic up as of rn.

have u guys noticed the phenomenon that's like

- m/f ship between a nonblack man & a Black woman

- it's either canon (e.g. mel/jayce arcane, arthur/guinevere bbcmerlin) or entirely plausible (e.g. prism or coupé/robert dispatch)

- fanbase overwhelmingly pairs nb man off with another nb man and disengages from the Black woman character, shunting her into a background wise & sassy caretaker role (for which there is a name) or leaving her out of fanworks entirely

- fans who do this ^ claim it is an expression of love and admiration for the Black woman character, actually, bc the nb man (who may be her canonical partner) "can't handle all that" (he may be perfectly competent and engaged; she may be totally low maintenance; it has no bearing), she's just too wonderful (too much) and out of his league (lacking in flaws and interiority and fan appeal)

have we all observed this and can we see the multiple dimensions in which it is racist ☝️ i'm not bringing it up to make any beautiful fujos feel bad abt shipping this or that, just to ask for some consideration of what ppl are saying abt Black women when they make their excuses to each other. like you can just not make the excuses. yk?

every day i’m haunted by that scene in season one of the pitt when they’re treating the guy with the concealed carry pistol during the MCI and everyone ducks and hides except for PERLAH WHO THROWS HER BODY OVER HER PATIENT. Perlah Alawi I LOVE YOU

cant wait for season 3 of the pitt where all the men have huge character development between seasons and all of the women stay the exact same and then a bunch of fans criticize the women for not changing (especially santos) and the show's producers and spokespeople do absolutely nothing to defend the women!!!! again!!!! yay!!!! i love misogyny

Btw there is nothing wrong with you if you regress and you don't enjoy playing or acting out things or colouring or using agere gear or consuming kids media the only "requirement" to be a regressor is that you regress!!!

Tbh when I regress I just read agere fics and maybe suck on my thumb or if I'm feeling really fancy watch Garfield or if pain allows (which is very rare) and I'm in the mood I sit up to colour
