I finally got to write Taen's introduction in my book and they have an ✨attitude✨. They have already made Ferris and Iris miserable so they're doing a great job as an antagonist. They are sooooo fun to write for!

I haven't posted any art in a hot minute so here I am with another character design for my book!

Hatlin is Ferris's uncle. When Hatlins brother and sister-in-law died, he took Ferris in and raised him. He also took Iris in around that time, as Iris's father was friends with him and his brother. He tinkers with arcane gizmos and is a professor at the school both Ferris and Iris go to.

I probably need to go back and do some color adjustments on him, he looks very grey...

9: What are your file name conventions?

I was thinking about this one when I reblogged the artist ask game, but not because my files are crazy or anything. Most of my art files are "what it says on the tin". since 95% of my art is characters, the file would be their name(ship name for couples) and something to identify the art piece, i.e. "Iris outfit design" or "GrimmLove dance" just to name a couple I've posted in the past year. this is slowly starting to change as two recent pieces were named "Mine and Laughter" for the a dragon character and his laughing boyfriend, and "When you feel like drowning" for a character couple drawing with a water background.

12: Easiest part of the body to draw

I had to really think about this one, because I struggle a lot with anatomy in general, and I feel like for every good hand, good face, good torso, I have an equally difficult one. Sometimes I draw something and I'm like "since when could I draw this body part this easily?" only to redraw the same thing 20 times on my next piece. But, I'm rambling. after a bit of thought I landed on hair. Not an appendage, but technically a part of the body right? I love the way hair flows, and how it never has to look the same or be perfect. I'm rarely unhappy with how hair looks on any of my drawings.

After a difficult life, 2 years of medical experimentation and trauma induce memory loss, Eden finally realizes he's been in love with his childhood best friend Ryder.

With his memories back and a tearful realization that Ryder had been in love with him for years, they finally get their chance to be happy. Of course, Ryder is part dragon, and Eden is his treasure so he'll be damned if anything bad happens to him again.

Ryder is Valen's best friend. Ryder, Eden, Valen and Autumn are all friends, with Ryder having met Valen and Autumn while Eden was missing.

Here's a messy little Valentine's doodle, a day late. I adore the trope of a character who's been dealt shitty cards in life finally getting all the love they deserve. Also, don't misunderstand, Autumn isn't just Valen's soft place to land.... She's also strong both physically and mentally, and if you hurt her goth BF she will kick your ass.

Autumn is my character but Valen belongs to my friend.
