Starfall City is a sandbox-ish roleplay server that is based around the idea of yanderes, rivals, and their valentines. The server is for those who want to find people who enjoy discussing dark tropes and for making friends with similar interests; most importantly, this server is for people to roleplay with their OCS in collaborative and creative scenarios!
This blog is a place to promote our server, post funny lore things (that are tumblr exclusive), and answer your questions about anything! You can ask about lore characters (every lore character is created by staff only), questions about the world, theorize why yandere's are attached to valentines.. ect. if you don't want to ask about lore, you can ask questions about events/share ideas, how members are, what we do on the server for fun, theories, anything! The server is about Starfall City, one of the world's most famous “accepting” cities. The general world lore is that there are non-humans, magic-users, and everyday humans; Non-humans and magic users are treated as less than in most places around the world, but there are a few cities and safe places in select countries where they can go to escape judgment and live freely; Starfall happens to be one of those cities!
Starfall is beautiful, there's no denying it, but that's only on the surface. It may come off as being an accepting city, open and safe to non-humans and magic users alike, aided by having the population evenly split between all three groups, but what the outside media isn't aware of – and somehow is never exposed to –, is how Starfall is no better than every other place in the world. Discrimination is still allowed within the city, despite how it's meant to be free from such; and yet, how come nobody outside seems to know what's going on inside? Better yet, how come nobody inside seems to be doing anything about this? Maybe its the Mafia's fault; despite their lowkey business within the city, they have quite the hold, the Boss being buddy-buddy with the Mayor, or so rumors say.
In more recent years, cases of "Yanderes" – obsessive, and potentially dangerous, individuals who are in search of someone to place their attention on, "Valentines" – have begun to appear. Yanderes have been around for longer than time can tell, appearing nearly everywhere around the world; for the most part, they remain hidden, as its quite hard to tell who is one and who isn't until its too late, but they've become such an issue that many people in power – politicians and the like; normal people aren't usually in the know – are aware of their existence. Thankfully, most places are doing their best to be on top of finding out who shows signs (even if they don't realize what they are) and are doing their best to prevent more cases from arising.
Something strange, though, is that Starfall seems to be a hot-spot for these cases – once more, this is unknown to most people. See, in the US – and this varies depending on country –, city governments are in charge of keeping an eye out for potential issues, Yanderes being on their list; but Starfall's is turning a blind eye to this for some reason, and no matter what people do, none of the shit that happens in the city is able to be exposed to outsiders.
Nobody knows why this is happening or how it's seemingly allowed, but something that's for certain is that.. this city isn't what it seems.

Starfall City is a 15+ server, so if you aren't 15 or older, please don't join!! We aren't an NSFW RP server, so no NSFW RPS will be allowed. With that in mind, we are also not an NSFW server in general. So no jokes, comments, ect. will be allowed! We also - and we hope you don't mix this up somehow - aren't an IRL yandere server. Cupid: It's no problem at all! I'm honored you thought I was important enough to interview- the email startled me so bad I had to step away from my laptop! It was a little embarrassing...
I: Well I'm glad you found it so exciting! Getting straight into it, what are the basics of what you'd want the readers to know?
C: Hm. [pause] Obviously, there's my name, but that's likely been plastered all over the page by now. [chuckles] I guess from there it'd be my age, and so on- 34, as of right now. I'm a huge romantic- if you couldn't tell already. Mmn... [another pause] I don't really have a lot of nicknames- most people usually call me by my first name. Either that or my last. My favorite of all of them is 'squish', though. My sister gave it to me when I was younger.
I: 34? Wow! You seemed a lot younger- I wouldn't have guessed from your socials. And "Squish"- is there a particular reason behind it?
C: My sister would just say it's because my face was so fat. [sigh, a tired smile spreads on his face] She wasn't wrong, but I still want to whack her for it.
I: Siblings, am I right? Moving on, would you mind explaining the whole deal on your company, Dr. Love? It feels like it sprung up out of nowhere!
C: Well, I've actually run Dr. Love as a small online business for a while now, but only in recent months have we actually expanded into a "real" company. We sell products- mostly themed around couples, though our products can be bought by and gifted to anyone. Candies, cards, bouquets, etcetera. We even have a matchmaking service, and- ahem- 'items' for our older clients to enjoy on sale. Those ones are part of a...slightly different brand, though- the same one used for our late night show.
I: I see...it's nice to see you've taken the time to separate your adult and general brands. What inspired you to take this route? The type of business, I mean.
C: Love, of course! [chuckles] To be more specific, my love of love. I've lived in this city all my life- seen a manner of nasty things come about. I think if people took the time to slow down, and really take the time to appreciate themselves and the people around them- to interact without judgement, that Starfall can become a much better place. Too many people are on edge; trust is low- kindness to strangers is seen as some sort of novelty. If my company can help open hearts and change minds, well, I'd find that just wonderful.
I: An altruistic approach- don't you feel that's a bit naïve? With all the conflicts between humans and non-humans, not to mention the looming possibility of....well, I'm sure you've gotten your fair share of concerning fanmail yourself.
C: I have, and really, both of those issues are tragic to me, in a way. People are averse to change- I can see why someone with no experience would find the sudden appearance of non-humans jarring. Except, they aren't sudden- not in Starfall. They've been a long-standing part of our history. To try and push them out because of some sort of purity complex is, pardon my harsh words, stupid. Stupid and ignorant.

C: And yes, that 'possibility' you've mentioned. I can't judge those people too harshly. At the end of the day, that type of behavior is more than your standard pushy fan. It's a sign of something deeper- it's something innate in that person. [frowns] I can't help but feel sad thinking about it. There are people who need help in this city. Real help. They're disturbed, but they're still people. I doubt they actively choose to be the way they are- it's unfortunate.
I: ...Of course. How genuine of you, Mr. Amoré. Aside from your business career, what can we come to expect from you? Publicity wise.
C: Of course there's the show- thinking about it is still nerve wracking, but I'll live. It's a late night show, nothing explicit, but I suggest streaming it after the young'ins have gone to bed. [winks] For our younger fluttering hearts, though, our magazine is all-ages, with an advice column for those struggling hearts in our community. We've been considering featuring some local stories in our magazine as well- meet cutes, self love stories...just things that make you feel fuzzy inside, you know?
I: Looks like we may have a bit of competition, eh? We're looking forward to its official release! Wrapping up now, any final words you have or our readers?
C: I am too. As for final words, not many, surprisingly. I just wish to thank those who have supported me up until this point, and welcome all those who decide to join the little community we've crafted. Welcome to the stage of fucked-up-things-hidden-from-the-outside-world-in-the-city, The Ivory Eyes! A Mafia that works in the shadows, not making their business known to just anyone. They pay off cops to get away with whatever it is they want to do, and are gossiped, among the rest of the underworld folk, to be friendly with the Mayor; is it their fault the city is the wreck it is? Are they the reason nobody else seems to run for Mayor? Who knows..

We thought it'd be helpful if we discussed some of the locations you can visit during your stay in Starfall, that way you can plan ahead on site-seeing! So have this 'lil guide with descriptions of each place and what they have to offer! (This post includes places from the City! Check our other post for Suburban Spots!)
City Sites !
Starview Cinema
If you're looking to watch movies in HD, Starview Cinema should be at the top of your places to visit. A few years back, it was redone to give it the aesthetic of a vintage Cinema; a giant movie board – updated daily –, a large, lit-up sign, ticket booths under the awning, it's got it all! Inside, despite the illusion of a flat roof outside, there's a domed ceiling with a starry sky painted on, giving the building a magical night feel. There are self-salting and buttering stations, concessions, and even a bar for you to get a little sum :) There are two wings on either side, each holding 10 regular theatres and 1 VIP theatre. People praise Starview on how quickly new releases make it to the screens, but recently, "movies" and "ads" containing strange, often graphic, material have been appearing where they aren't meant to. Not to fret, the staff are working on a fix for this! So If you see anything strange, do make sure to report it.
Celeste Aquarium
The Celeste Aquarium is quite a sight to see, and not just for the life within, but for just how grand it is; gorgeous detailing surrounds the entire building, along with marble pillars and steps, which are always kept pristine. There are 3 sections in total, split into two wings on either side of the main building, which sports a giant glass dome; it's ethereal at night! Each section houses a different type of aquatic lifeform: smaller fish, like seahorses or clownfish, are at the right wing, while the left wing holds larger fish and creatures, like whales and sharks. There is a large, cylinder tank at the center section, under the dome, that holds a mix of both wings, though majorly holds rare, magical creatures. Sometimes, there are mermaid shows held at the center tank; however, Celeste Aquarium does not use real mermaids for these shows; despite some people pointing out how real the fins look, we can say that its thanks to our special effects team that we're able to make the mermaids look convincing!
Novelty Nook
A popular, well-known bookshop within the city; a staple if you're an avid reader! The building is 18 ft and 6 inch's tall, two floors around 9 ft and 3 inches in height respectively, meant to be accommodating to readers of all heights. Its exterior is modern, with a solid black coat of paint on the bricks in front and large windows, making it stand out from the shops on either side; and it has a cute black awning with a sign just above it. Although it seems small outside, it has a surprising amount of space once you step in. It exhibits a homey vibe inside, warm lighting and a relaxing feel, contrasting the cool, modern design of the outside. It has books from every genre, and nearly every author: Kids' books, romance, murder mystery, how-to's, you name it and the shop has it! In the back of the store, there's a spiral staircase leading to the second floor – though it barely counts as one, seeing as the center of the floor is hollowed out, the flooring that does exist has railings around the center. There are sliding ladders on some bookshelves, for the books higher up. It's a great place to go if you're looking for a good book to get lost in, or to meet new friends with similar interests!

We thought it'd be helpful if we discussed some of the locations you can visit during your stay in Starfall, that way you can plan ahead on site-seeing! So have this 'lil guide with descriptions of each place and what they have to offer! (This post includes places from the Suburbs! Check our other post for City Sites!)

Sweet Dreams Pastries
If you're a fan of sweets, try checking out this quaint corner bakery! Its exterior isn't anything extravagant - the building is painted in black with detailing in the same color to give subtle texture, with many large windows for natural lighting, and a sign that sits above a cute striped awning, decorated heavily with flora decor, giving a modernized twist on a classic look. The interior is quite small, as it wasn't intended to be a place for sitting and dining; though recently, they've taken customer feedback and have added a few tables and seats inside, more on the patio. Murals were also painted inside to add some colorful flair against the stark-white walls. The pastries aren't particularly eye-catching, their appearances like any others, yet somehow Sweet Dreams makes them taste far better than any other place. People joke that there has to be a secret ingredient since there's no way it's possible for something as simple as a chocolate chip cookie to taste so different and sweet!
Among The Stars Casino
Gambling isn't a child's game, so if you're looking for games with high stakes and big prizes, Among The Stars Casino is your place to go. Being around for years, the casino has built a reputation. One might be shocked when first seeing the outside; a 3 story-bricked and worn building, old detailing, and a giant awning decked in neon lights, the name included, would make anyone think it wasn't a high-end casino like the rumors, but once inside, it lives up to the claims. The interior is a complete 360 from the run-down outside; it sports a large walkway as you enter through the doors, fancy, red carpet lining the floor with tiles where it's not, murals painted on the ceilings with white trimming highlighting them, chandeliers hanging from ornate holders, and on either side of the walkway are tables upon tables for playing to your heart's content. The two other floors are similar in appearance, but there is a mixture of open tables and slot machines rather than only tables; there's also a bar on the second floor! There's talk of a basement floor, how only VIPS are allowed down for special games with even better prizes, but it's a silly rumor that's meant to rack in VIP membership money.. right?
Mystic Lagoon
Uncovering secret spots is something any explorer can do, but if you're looking for a real challenge, try finding this Mystical Lagoon. Hidden deep within the forest, losing your way while searching is easy; the signs of whether you made it or not are nearly non-existent; a tip.. if you notice vines, thorny ones, sticking together to form a make-shift wall, trying to hide something, you're most likely on the right path. To know if you've found the lagoon, not some random, hidden pond, the biggest sign will be the entrance; there'll be a bridge – unlike the other spots – old, a bit dilapidated, and missing a few stone bricks. Reeds shroud the sides of it, while vines and moss cover every inch. Past the bridge, under leaves and past tall reeds, there'll be the first bit of the lagoon, colorful flora surrounding the area, while drooping trees and flowery vines create a canopy over it. Following the path deeper, the light that once seeped through the thin openings of the leaves disappear; it's like an eternal night, getting darker the farther you travel, and the plants and vines glow like stars. Even then, with the iridescent shine from the plants, a feeling of unease surrounds it; maybe that's why larger animals won't travel deeper, or maybe it's 'cause of that large thing hiding under the murky waters.
