Everybody always talks about Martin being possessive but have we ever considered Jon being super possessive on the eldritch horror level? In reference to when he asks Martin if they are together in every universe and Martin being marked by the Eye. I think at least subconsciously Jon is very possessive of Martin especially after The Lonely. Maybe not expressed through jealousy but through subtle ways of the fears and influencing over other powers and people. To leave Martin alone. And making the Eye’s mark on him apparent. Not because Martin is devoted to the Eye, but because Jon has claimed Martin as his own.
