idk I find it kind of cute how jon’s teaching/encouragement style is similar to syrio’s. like a mix of tough love + optimism aka “you’re perfectly capable of this so you’re going to try again” + “you don’t have to be perfect today because there’s always tomorrow”…anyway yet another reason why jon snow should have been a high school teacher.

A Pact of Ice & Fire Left Unsealed

The idea of a dutiful Targaryen prince who falls deeply in love with a wild Stark lady that he ultimately forsakes his duty for has been heavily foreshadowed throughout the story. Rhaegar and Lyanna echo the earlier “Pact of Ice and Fire” begun by Jacaerys and Sara; they unite their bloodlines through a son who is fostered at Winterfell from a young age, growing up alongside his Stark cousin. Yet their deaths leave the pact unfinished, much like Jacaerys and Sara’s before them. All that remains is for Arya and Jon to carry that legacy forward and bring the cycle full circle.
