-Mav was testing planes for years. Since Ice had gotten cancer he did not want to be disptached away from his husband so tested planes for the navy while Ice was the admiral with the highest ranking. And that is what saved his job. Next thing he knew he was shipped of to Top Gun
-Cyclon was showing maverick the files of the pilots. 'captain you are familiar with a few pilots in this mission'. photos of you, rooster and hangman appear on the screen among the other pilots. 'you are asking me to lead a potential suicide mission with my own daughter, son in law and nephew in it?' mav asks trying to tame his anger. 'they are the best of the best- i know this might be difficult-' cyclone says 'with all do respect sir they are my children i will not lead them to their potential death'. cyclone answer 'you either fly for us or you never fly again. It was Admiral Kasansky that ordered you this mission, I thought he had warned you considering your relation'. mav is mad at ice for putting him in this situation. he loves flying but he could not live with himself if something happened to you, jake or bradley
-before the start of the movie’s events you had been dispatched separately from Hangman for 3 months in two different areas and had not seen your fathers in almost 6 months. you did not know that mav was the instructor as Ice had not told you, you had just followed orders like usual
-Jake at the Hard Decks greets penny which for you is basically as a mother and amelia as the little sister for both of you. jake adores them and they adore him. he chats with her before joining the team
-maverick walks the bar and sees him but dosen't want to interrupt him. but jakes notice him 'pops!' he great him 'son' mav replied making jake smile 'we were supposed to head to you and iceman tomorrow to surprise you ' 'don't worry jake i got my surprise, ice did not tell me you two were coming back' ' what? we got the orders directly from him' jake says and mav 's smile drops, his husband was keeping to many secrets about their kids.

-when penny calls them over to throw out him to tease her friend jake face's goes blank. 'mav-' jake starts 'play along son' mav tells him not wanting to reveal his identity in the bar. jake nods and throws him out. Jake goes back to the group. Who is that bob ask him. 'My father in law' Jake says avoiding the fact that he is a navy legend
-you arrive to the hard deck all excited to see jake after three months when you find mav oustide of it. he is sadly looking at bradley when you shout 'dad!' you ran to him as he hugs you smiling. 'i missed you dad' you tell him. 'sweetheart why did you not tell me you were coming home?' he asks you. 'Dad, papa was the ones to call me, i thought he told you-' you say apologetically. 'don't worry i'm happy you are here, i met jake inside he said you are coming tomorrow to the house' mav says smiling and patting your hair. you smile back 'yes we'll head to the house first thing in the morning. ' you hug him back when he gives you a knowing look 'go-' 'what?'' you ask 'i know you can't wait to see you boy- remember me and your father had been dispatched separately too many times i know the feeling, go' he smiles giving you a knowing look. you give him a kiss on the cheek 'see you tomorrow dad!' you shout before going into the bar
-in the bar you spot Jake immediately and you two move automatically as you crush in each others arms kissing as he spins you around. Bradley and Natasha don’t notice you immediately as they are still playing on the piano. 'I missed you so much' he tells you as you keep on kissing him. Penny and Coyote clear their voices. You two detach. And you give a small apology. You say hi to the rest still staying impossibly close to jake. 'your dad was just here, he is not happy about ice' jake tells you. 'I guessed. We will deal with it tomorrow. Take me home or loose me forever' you tell jake and he smiles widely. You wave to the others and rush out of the bar, jumping on the motorcycle your dads gifted you when you were 16.
-meanwhile at your dads home it was not all going well. Mav went home angry ice did not tell him about the dispatch. Although Ice's cancer is under control he still can't talk for long or shout. And mav feels terrible shouting at him for hiding this secret and for putting their kids at risk. 'would you have gone if I had told you?' he asks him and mav knows he is right. 'these are our kids Ice, this mission … they are not ready' mav is almost teary. 'then help them be' ice tells him holding his face.
-there is a day in between the bar and the first day. So you and Jake go home to your dads. They love him like if he was their son. You all hug and have dinner. Also there is Slyder and his wife Sara, a good friend of your dads that initially was Ice's ex girfriend but then fell in love with his best friend while Ice fell for Mav. Also amelia and penny are present. You catch up on what they missed and have whole hearted moments. Your dad's observe you and Hang how similar you are to them and how much you love each others.
-‘ I remember the first time flying, you brought me on the F-14, I was what 9? papa was so mad’ you tell maverick as you remember the past while you talk of the first day. 'tomorrow the cat will be out of the hat everyone will know we are related' jake also says. 'will be fun taking orders from you pops, as usually is only ice giving them to us' jake adds and all laugh when mav says 'well he gives them to eveyone'
-the first day when maverick walks in coyote, phoenix and rooster are shocked. Bob looks at you and asks you 'isn't that your dad?' 'yep' you reply.
-you and jake keep it professional no PDA during the time at the military base in public, only behind the close door of your shared accommodation. heavy flirting anyhow during training. With mav sighing 'please keep it down' you turn red realsing he had heard you flirting with jake
-‘Hang if you get taken down and because of you I end up having to do those 200 pushups you will regret it’ ‘ don’t worry sweetheart, your dad is great but even he can’t, worry about yourself. pops is not taking me down’. *maverik shoots down hangman* . you dont get taken down and almost shoot him down but lost anyhow because of jake. once you are the airport before being forced to do the pushups you smack his arm ‘no snuggles tonight. This is your fault!’ he just sighs. ‘I almost got you dad!’ you tell him as maverick passes by ‘But you didn’t!, see you kiddo’

It had been a miracle you and the baby had survived the concussion and now he had a a constant fear about it
You shake your head as you get out you push him away to bend down as you start to vomit
Steve gets near you in an instant, holding you and rubbing your back as you empty your stomach on the side of the wall
'Hey hey I got you', the tells you comforting
'You sure you are okay?' He asks you worried 'you did not vomit for a concussion right?' He asks you holding you gently by your face to scan for any injury
'I'm fine, i did not hit my head. It’s the particles and the crush I'm sorry' you mutter apologetically as you straighten up. He takes a water bottle from his car door and gives it to you, you rinse your mouth
'The beamer -' you say distraught passing the bottle back
'Right now i don't care about the beamer' he says, his panick is all for you 'i care if you are hurt or not' he tells you gently taking your hand in his
'I'm okay' you reassure him squeezing his hand

Steve had placed the baby seat so carefully after struggling a bit and Dustin helping him. He had said the others had to take Nancy's car as it could not be overcrowded his Beamer when it was bringing home his daughter.

You explain more about the situation. That you are at Roane Cemetery. That Steve’s car is stuck. He doesn’t understand how the signal can reach him

‘You are where? Are you insane? With the kid you got home? I’m going to kill that Harrington kid for allowing this -‘ he starts to rant
‘Hey ! I don’t need any allowing from you or him -‘ you shout back but before this can escalate in a full on argument Dustin takes the radio from you
‘Long story short we were trying to track a demogorgon using our telmetry tracker until we hit a wall and our car is stuck in a wall so El needs to come free it’ Dustin explains
‘What kind of wall?’ Hopper asks back , the wheels in his head turning
‘Hard to describe is disgusting’ Dustin confirms are you all discuss the wall
‘You all stay there while we work on a solution we come get you stay put. And I’m taking to you too y/n’ hopper commands and you just roll your eyes

Dustin it’s testing the radio while you get into the church sitting on one of the benches exhausted. Nancy and Jonathan are arguing about something and Steve gave up in trying to free the car
You are head low, head in your hands as you think. Realisation has crept in. You are stuck in the upside down while your friends and your daughter are back in Hawkins. Between you and them there is just one guarded portal. Maybe this time you have gone too far. You are still spiralling
When you hear his voice. Gentle.
‘Hey you okay?’ Steve asks you, gently, he sits next to you. ‘I know we are technically tense, but the moment that car a crushed i could not give a fuck about our argument at derek's’
‘Me neither’ you admit. That was your recepee. Since You and Steve got together rarely argued, usually. Only in tense situations like this one everything escalated. The only other times you had fought as much as these past two days had been in '84 just before you got together. And then you always made up because no argument silly or no,t was worth staying away from your soulmate.
Steve gives you a small smile, tentatively placing his arm around your shoulders and kissing the side of your head. You give in hugging him tight, your head on his chest his arms around you . and there in the safeness of your lover's arm you finally break

' But you asked my confirmation and I gave it' you argued back 'We should have staid home with her as you suggested. Or at least followed the signal up not here. She is alone. We are irresponsible, I am irresponsible-' you say between sobs as you try to steady your voice to not cry
'baby,. I know what I said. But here we have a good chance of finding Holly or at least regroup with Hopper and El. We will be fine. And once we find holly we kill that bastard and you and Alex and everyone will be safe. Okay? None of this is your fault. If someone is to blame its me. I say I want you safe and it was my idea to come here'
'it's not your fault steve. This was a smart plan. I would have done the same. I did the same' you reassure him
'we will get back sweetheart. Thanks to El or another portal. We are going home to our baby. I promise you that' he promises and you look at him believing each and every word. You nod, and steve nods back before kissing your forehead. You close your eyes at the sensation, laying your head on his shoulder and interwining your hand with his
'at least we are together' you say as if that could solve everything, but in the end was what you two always wished for
'As we should ' he confirms. It’s a promise. That is you and him until the end
'We stick together' you promise looking at him. And differently than from at Derek's house you really mean it
'As always meant to be' steve promises back. Because that was your brand, your certainty, that despite the bumps on the road you and steve were meant to be, and will always meant to be until you are both old and grey 'We find a way out and we go get our baby girl okay?' He asks you

You two walk hand in hand to reach nancy and jonathan that just roll their eyes. You don't mind them, they are stressed, and sometimes straight up jealous of yours and steve 'perfect' relationship
Nancy and you theorise a plan, the boys listens to you both carefully
'The wall must end somewhere we could look for it? ' you suggest

-as a descendant of the Targaryen, but with the looks of your mother that looked nothing like a Targaryen (anyone can be an half targ!), the royal family did not think you would be a dragon dreamer, instead you were
-you grew up among princes and princesses and Aerion remembered how you were before the dreams began making you anxious and sometimes delirious, you remember him before he became vicious
-Aerion used to make fun of you for being often scared or anxious but if others did he would get mad
-you were close with Daeron whose shares your gift or curse, but as he grew he resolved to drinking to fight this curse while you did not . You tried to not sleep only when exhausted, and was always tired and low energy but did not try taming the course with alchohol
-when children Aerion found you annoying at times, because you followed him around speaking of your dreams, and how he also was in them. He would sometimes blush as you told him and others that you had dreamt of him hugging you, or winning a tournament. but then when you spent time with Daeron, with whom you had often the same dreams and could understand you, then Aerion was jealous.
-when children you proclaimed that Aerion would be your husband as you saw it ‘you will be mine’ you proclaimed as he spoke of marrying other ladies when he grew up. ‘ how do you know?’ ‘ I dreamed of it. A wedding in the sept. We will be together.’
- When it was proposed you should marry Daeron as who would take you in such a state? Sometimes border line delirious from dreams or lackness of sleep like him, at least not drunk but still speaking of visions and of dragons. Your family saw it as the only solution. You and Daeron would not mind the wedding being close friends and him being beautiful. Still you always had a romantic and physical attraction towards Aerion instead.
- Luckily Aerion protested and got what he wanted. Everyone feared that he would mistreat you but he didn’t, he considered your gift a sign of being a true dragon. It had been a dreamer after all that had saved the Targaryen from the fall of old Valyria. And he vowed to believe in your dreams and take care of you even when the dreams got too bad.
-Aerion is angry that Baelor doesn’t ask you for your visions when making decisions ‘The Princess is a dragon Dreamer, her dreams come true, she is a valuable councillor more than your men, father and uncle’ he would tell Maekar and Baelor but they only saw you as Daeron confused and not an asset
-you don’t want to have children as dreamed of your own death or children deaths. You had also dreamed of holding children that looked like Aerion, but did not know which vision was true and in what order, which children could cause your death. So Aerion vows to not have them, he is the second son of a fourth son nobody cares and the fear of the dreams is more true.
-Others consider you mad as differently from Daeron you did not result to drinking so often you woke up scared or confused or did not sleep to avoid having the dreams. Therefore often in the wake you were in a state of confusion and paranoia due to the lack of sleep. Getting scared by sounds or people, repeating what you saw and warning people but they found you only mad.
-Aerion could be annoyed sometimes of you embarrassing yourself or him but he would never let you be disrespected. Aerion punish whoever says that you are mad. ‘ How dare they speak of a dragon dreamer like that , of a princess, of my wife’
-Aerion sometimes dreams too but he tries not to worry you, although he speaks of them as prophecies when he tells you about them.
-when you turn and toss in your sleep as having dreams or refuses to sleep. although he commands you to sleep or at least settle most of the times he is actually Soothing you, holding you through a nightmare. Reassuring you and quieting you
-when you were kids and teenagers you used to sneak in his room when had nightmares. He would just silently hold his arms open to let you in and sleep. You always dreamed less when in his arms . That is how he realised he loved you
-he holds you as you scream for the nightmares or cry because of them. His voice soothing. ‘Eyes on me little dragon, I’m here no one can harm you’ he says as he tries to calm you . Holding your face, sometimes too harshly but he would never hurt you
-he is your personal guard ‘until I’m here nothing is going to touch you, no man or dream’. you saw someone in a dream hurting you or the family? The person is dead before no long Aerion will take care of it
-dragons always protects their treasures and you are the most important treasures of them all for Aerion therefore he takes care of you as if you are sacred
-‘I dreamt you became a dragon as drank fire and died screaming’ you told him crying once telling him about your terrible dream. He vowed to not get near fire
-months before ashford you wake up screaming ‘be careful!’ You shout as you see a tall man slaying a black dragon. He does not seem evil man but the dragon dies nonetheless. You wake up Aerion with your screams. He hold your face as you pant trying to make sense of it all ‘what is it? What did you see?’ He asks you caressing your face ‘A knight killing a dragon’ you whisper, Aerion laughs. ‘Do not worry it takes much more to slay a dragon’
-when you first see Ser Duncan you freeze. ‘It’s him Aerion, the man of my nightmares’. You try to convince also Baelor and Maekar which do not believe you ‘my child, it’s merely a coincidence’ they tell you but you insist
-when Aerion wants to do the trial of seven you talk him out of it ‘do you doubt my abilities?’ He asks you ‘and do you doubt my dreams?.Listen to me if you fight you will die’ you beg him holding his tunic frightened ‘nonesense’ he replies offended. 'I saw seven knights and a dragon killed'. In the end he listens to you and does a one to one trial by combat and wins

-You don't indulge in wine to not dream but you indulge in Aerion. Sex is a way to tire you enough to not dream or to ease your mind and he is more than willing. 'help me forget. Tire me out. please' you beg him and he always pleases you. often He is not gentle but he does the work, as after he has filled you up you don’t dream . Sometimes as you rant he just kisses you and starts to undress you to distract you and it works
Chapter Summary: Ch 8 you gush over your sexy boyfriend before his worry arise at derek's house (Episode 5.4)
Note: honselty this chapter is weak because 5.03 and part of 5.04 gave us steve crumbles but we have to go through them to arrive to the juicy parts. Its long as i wanted to fit the entire episode 5.03 in one chapter. So I wanted to build up the angst that is going to explode in the upside down. Laboratory up to the finale instead will be a rewriting of canon much different than a reader insert as well emotional. Next part is unforutnelty characterually similar to this one but the tension is rising

One hour later Erica's entrance in the Turbow's mansion Steve is drawing invisible circles with his thumb on your hand as he holds it between you two when Erica gives the signal, he lets go of your hand as you all get out the car and walk to the van parked in the Turnbow's garage
Steve opens the van heping robin out of it as you all work together to set the traps in the house and to bring to the warehouse the Turnbow that are now loaded on the van.
'be careful' robin says as she gets on the van with steve's help. And you know that she means it
'you too rob' you tell her as steve nods too. You hate it that the scoop ahoy group is now split, and robin will not be with you. He closes the van and they go
You all work together closing windows, setting up the rooms while steve basically gives you preview of how good he is with manual work, drilling the pavement, putting the nails, moving the furniture
Blame a girls but It did something to you. The world was ending but you were thirsting after your boyfriend, and unfortunately it was noticed
Dustin complains at you disgusted ' gosh you are basically drooling'
You brush him off and direct how the stuff should be put
Your weapon of choice for the pavement is an axe, and steve is about to follow your example when he see the chainsaw and uses it to open the pavement
That does something to you even more. The moment he puts it away and you two are alone in the garage you can't do nothing better than approach him, you hug him from his side, your lips on his ear as you whisper
'Gosh babe, five minutes in the back of the beamer?'
He goes still and you know is to try and control his instics
'jesus baby, don't put ideas in my head when we can't' he tells you with a loud gulp as his hands find your waist immediately
'you looked so good with that chainsaw, splitting in half that wood in front of eveyrone. I got jealous, thoguht that look was only reserved to me' you whisper more in his ear with fake innocence
He takes a step back, adjusting his sweater collar, suddenly is too hot in there
'Come on you to stop it, you can't say thing like that, you know what that does to me' he says walking around to calm himself before he can't control the tightening of his jeans
'can you blame me? I had forgotten how good you are with manual work, so mainly' you almost pur as he really hopes none of his friends walk in
'Hey i built alex cribs and your swinging bench' he says to prove a point
'I know. And you know what happened next' you say with a laugh alluding to the christening of that bench, and he gives you a smirk too at the memory.
He then takes your jeans by the hoops to bring you closer as you lock your arms around his neck
'yah, very well. Best reward ever' he tells you mimicking your desire
'Maybe you should build a pool house so i can watch you work' you say you hands moving up and down his bicepts
'only if you promise we end up like last time i had all those handy man instruments with me' he replies, his lips inches from yours, his eyes on them
'its a promise harrington' you whisper as you kiss him, its not hungryly but its tender while passionate. A reminder of what you two are even if you were flirting atrociously dirty
When you let go for air you are still inches apart, he brushes your cheek sweetly with his fingertips as he says
'I was thinking... when it's all done we should work maybe on nugget number two?' he says. The sweetness and vulnerability he says it its a total contrast to the flirting you had initiated
And in total reality he is holding a breath, because you have not spoken about this topics in months. Not since alex was born. The plan its clear, kill vecna, get married, get your degree/specialization in your dream subject, find a job, only then expand the family.
So steve is quite scared of brining it up as he knows having kids with you is his dream, his only dream, but he knows that that is one of your dreams. You have ambitions and dreams outside your love for him and he loves it, is one of the reasons he fell in love with you. Instead steve would happily dedicate his entire life to you and your family. And you two respect each others goals. So in totally honestly it might be the flirting, or the prospect of fighting an interdimensional monster that got him talking
You play with his hair as you reply after a moment 'Always on your mind Harrington' you say it almost as a flirty joke
'She is growing up so fast i would like her to have a siblings close in age' he admits trying to give a reasoning, his hands playing with your shirt out of stress.
You are pensive for a moment, and steve thinks he screwed up, but instead you peck his lips, before looking at him in the eyes
'Something to hold on steve for after we end this. we get married and then number two. but then I get my degree and job before the rest'
He nods, too fast for his liking
'of course' he says trying to control how happy he his as he gives you the biggest smile
'deal?' You ask him with a smirk giving him your hand to shake. Just as you used to do when you were kids after any decision
He almost chuckles 'deal' he replies shaking your hand, 'So you still up for the rest?' He asks referring to the van dream
'Yah' you reply your smile mimicking his 'but just because its you'
'gosh I love you' he tells you
He honestly does not know how he got so lucky, to have built a life with the girl who stole his heart when he was just a kid
He kisses you sweetly, not passionately as one would expect from the inuedos of a couple of minutes prior, but instead is sweet, its personal, its with devotion, its love, of its purest kind
But his instinct to protect you is about to ruin it
'Speaking of alex...as we know the Demorgogons will be coming here, I think you should stay out of this one' steve says
Always the usual argument, you let him go and sigh
'you could go home, keep alex safe. He wants the kids not you.'
'Steve. We have been through this he could come for me steve. And when he does I don’t want Alex near him, i dont want her near any of this. She is safer away from us, until we kill that bastard'
You understood him, he wanted you and alex safe, but you could not understand why instaead he never considered himself too, always wanting alex and you safe, and he still involved. Always sayign you should be careful when instead he jumped in front of danger more tha you
'He told you he dosen't want you' steve insists
'Well he could aways change his mind. And she could be there, be in the middle of it or worse get hurt. Keeping her away... Away from him - is the best we can do. We have been through this, twice in the last 24 hours steve'
' I understand but -' he says voice low, his hand in his hair
'there is no 'but' steve. We kill vecna and then we go home to our kid. All in one piece. But you need to trust me and believe in me'
You get near him trying to suit him by taking his hands in yours, his shoulders melt immediately at your touch, he looks at you properly now, you can see his fear
'i believe in you. Of course i believe in you? Are you kidding me? You are the most competent person here. ' he tells you truly, but he is stressed, he is worried, for the kids, for alex, for you
'that is why i must stay' you say. He sighs
'okay' he says finally looking at you, he gently squeezes your hand in his 'but Promise me at least you will be careful, not playing hero, going by the book and always on my eye sight' he asks you
'I promise' you reply squeezing his hand before hugging him
'good' he tells you. You snuzzle your head against his chest as you hug him and he on your head. You stay there for a moment close before you let go
You move away and take the riffle from the table and steve stops you, his hand on your arm genlty but firm.
'You joking right?' He is shocked and annoyed and can't believe you
'I will be with nance, they need someone who can shoot' you reply as if it is the most obvious thing
'No. no way.' He says shaing his head in the air 'You are staying in the car with me' he says
'Steve... we have been through this' you reply with a sigh
'Exactly we have just now ! You just promised to be safe. And yet you are throwing yourself in front of those things! You are choosing First line. absolutely not!. i know how you like to show off your riffle but you promised minimal danger. so you are staying in the car with us okay. You have to be careful. please'
'They need protection - ' you state
'And i need you safe. We stick together right?. You promised, just a few hours ago, just now. So do it. Choose to stay safe, with me' he demands, and you can see that behind his anger there is a plea, a plea for you to be safe, to be with him. Because that is all he needs
'Steve...' You try voice low. But he holds your bicepts as he faces you. His eyes are lucid and you know he is struggling
'Please y/n. i beg you come with me in the car and not on the first line. You have to be careful. I saw you shot, possessed, kidnapped, tested on -' he lists. All the times he almost lost you. All the times you got hurt and he could do nothing but patch you up and beg for you to stay
'and I saw you beaten up more times that i can count and eaten by bats, and -' you list to make him understand that you understand it but if he is risking his life then you should to. How is it different?
'its not the same, they were a few bruises, nothing compared to what you endured' he shrugs it off
And that does it for you, because you loved him, and you hated it when he donwlplayed his pain. As if it did not matter, as if he did not matter. But to you he did, more than anything
'will you stop downplaying your pain? Not with me! You had lost so much skin you could not sleep on your back for a week. I was there when you drifted in and out of consiusness thinking you would not wake up again. Stop pretending you are invincible and i am made of glass' you tell him raising your voice
'Well i never almost died on you, you did it twice! And even when you are not inedespensable you refuse to stay safe. at this point i think you are an adrenaline junkie' he shrugs too matching your voice.
'You are just overprotective' you reply
'oh! So Its so wrong for me to want to you safe, to want my fiance' safe? To not want our daughter to loose a parent, for me to loose you? Call me crazy what can i tell you!'
You give a laugh, a dry dark laugh
'You think I'm most likely to die?'
'No its not what I mean -' he says stopping in his tracks apologetically
'At least i dont lauch myself in danger without a plan. I should be the one concerned'
'What that supposed to mean?' He asks you now tence again
'You launch yourself without thinking, as if you were invincible. When all the time you end up on the floor. at least i can fight. So I should be worried! Why don’t you go home and protect alex . Why it always suggesting its me?'
He tries to not get his pride hurt by you 'You know why'
And you should know why, that the only reason steve is saying it, its because he can't phantom a life without you. And he rather have you safe in a cristal cage then fighting and risking your life. But you can't see it. You are just seeying red from this argument going always over and over in the past few days. Or maybe is the time you live in that makes you think that the 'why' is because you are girl, not that the 'why' for him is that he loves you and the thought of you in danger makes him sick
'Ah yah because I need your protection or Do you think I'm weaker then you?' You are boiling
'what? Of course that is not why' steve tries to explain himself
'Its better we stop here before we end up like this morning and say something we did not mean to say' you say crossing your arms
Before he can reply dustin arrives
'Hey you two we got a plan to follow quit the lovers quarrel' dustin says scolding you both
You just shrug and motion towards the car with the riffle 'Dustin you stay in front'

Steve and dustin are in the front of the car radio in hand. You are in the back with your rifle in case the demogorgons go out this way without a tracker
'This is not gonna work' dusitn says
'This gota work is not like we are suspicious or anything' steve replies
The silence is too much so you bend forward and turn on the radio, ' I just died in your arms tonight' by cutting crew fills the room

The song held much memory to both you and steve, it reminded you of when nancy broke his heart at the party and after you consoled him he could only think of you, leading to the love confession. How you almost died in his arms quite literally more than once.

She speaks about how they are still unconscious and how this better work or will never recover her conscience
'well we better get him and get done with him, i just want have a bath and then have a good sleep hugging my daughter' you say honestly
Steve gives an ironic and annoyed laugh, which only you can interpret as 'really? You adrenaline junkie?'
'sounds good, i had to cancel my date again, looking forward for that conversation' robin tells you worried that vickie will be mad
'relationships right?' You say eying steve, that turns to look at you in total disbelief
Before he can say anything robin intervenes. Maybe her best friend powers sense it that she has to change subject
'What kind of criminals your uncle defends steve? Like white collar criminals? Or could apply to us? Because That sounds like an harirngton thing to do, defend rich douchbags. And this situation they would be coming for us?' She asks
'yah exaclty. Well at least y/n and alex will give a good swing to the harington name' he says stealing the radio from you as you roll your eyes
But before you can reply steve shush you as he sees the light disappearing, you all go silent looking for the demogorgon.
'Steve are you there?' Robin asks
'I hear you - stop talking we got company'
Steve says the ETA of the demogorgon and checks position with all
'The seatbell you two' you tell them as they put it on
'Feel anything?' He aks you
' no. Is a demogron not venca, maybe Will can feel him' you reply
The lights going off and on move to the house
'Its inside keep you mouth shut' dusitn says and steve repeats to the group
You squim in your seat afraid of what is going on with your friends, you wish you were inside to help them.
'It flipped' dustin says and you take the riffle in the bar
'Signals acquired headed our way' he adds
'How close? steve asks, dustin does not reply
'Dustin how close!' steve ask him hitting him on the arm
'Oh shit' he replies as the lights of the car flip you hold the riffle tight as you shout 'are you stupid? I could have shot you!'
Steve and dustin are confused before they jumpscare ''jesus christ'
suddenly nancy and jonathanget in the car
'Hold your horses' dustin says. Steve is ready to start the car which is not working
'steve!' You shout 'I'm trying' he shouts back as finally the beamer works and you all start to chase the demogorns
'Turn right' dustin orders and steve suddenly turns
'Hold tight people' steve says as he runs through gardens and houses
'Sorry sorry !' He apologizes 'You are going to crush' jonathan complains
'let him drive!' You reply, you could make fun of steve but only you
'Well good things there are not camera here or your license would be gone steve' you say hiding a laugh
'You destroyed half of hawkins yards' jonathan adds
'Well i guess we end up in prison anyhow so what is the desturcion of private property' you continue with a tone that steve does not like
'Not the time' steve complains as he keeps on driving whenever dustin tells him
'Stop !' And steve stops after destroying half the houses gardens
'Its going the other direction now' dustin says
'Are you serious?' You frown and steve matches your annoyance
Steve turns the car chasing the new direction
As the others discuss why it changed direction you see him, as you get your goonies and go in trance and see vecna entering derek's mind and seeying him look at joyce through derek's mind
You shake falling back as joanthan catches you, the rifle falling on the floor
'It knows. Its going to them' you mutter still in the vision
'Babe?' Steve asks you with concern as you jolt fowards
'Drive!' You shout 'vecna has redirected the demogorgon we need to rush!'
You are getting better at it, at controlling it. You are not falling in trance for as long as before. You think of Will's words. That he is connected to the hive mind, but is like you instead are connected to vecna's , the problem is that you don't know how to tap in his mind when its needed. You are passive to it, and that bothers you. The problem is you know it goes both way, going to vecna''s mind will give him access to also yours.
You all saw the demogorong in the distance going to Derek and your friends
'hold tight' you tell the others as you and steve exchange a knowing look in the rear mirror
Steve hits him with the car as you breath again the connection broken for good
'you got him babe!' You chear as the demorgons opens a portal a few yards away and gets in
'It flipped!' says dustin
'turn around!' jonathan demands
Jonathan rushes steve, you are about to tell him too to move but you know when steve is pensive
'what's on your mind? We need to chase him' you ask him
'gates are like peanut butter boppers right? They are crunchy but bite down on it it has a creamy core'
'Steve honey what?' You ask in disbelief
'Dude what the hell you talking about' jonathan rushed
'If i drive fast enough the beamer can punch a hole into the gate and then we can track the demogornon on its home in the upside down - ' he explains in rush
' and we find the others ' you finish the sentence
Its genius, its simply is. And if someone can drive that way its only steve
'he is right' you tell the others but they are pensive
'We are loosing the signal' dustin shouts
'We are not able to follow it we crush!' Jonathan argues
'We are not going to crush if it is like a bopper!'
'Its almost gone!'
Steve looks at you asking your permission
You nod both of you turning to nancy its her sister 'your call' you say
'Do it' she says and steve presses the accelerator . You brace yourself for the impact
'Its not gonna work' dusin cries
'Slow down jesus' chrst jonathan shouts
'I got it' steve says at the same time you say 'He got it let him drive!'
'Its not gonna work' dustin cries
'it is! Trust him' you chime in
'Stop now jesus christ' jonathan says
But you don't move. Steve would never put you in danger, if he says he can do it then he can. The others scream as the car passes though but you don't.
You pass thorugh appearing in the upside down
'We did it woo' jonathan says hitting playfully steve completely relieved and happy
'You did it baby ' you cheers, going foward to kiss his cheek
'Ever had doubts?' He says back
'Of course not'
'Signal?' Steve asks
'Strong '
But after a few kilometers the mood switches
'I'm loosing the signal!' Dustin cries
'Can you go faster?' You ask steve
'Lets see' he says as he presses on the accelerator
'Henderson you got to talk to me'
'I'm triygn to hear the signal'
'You got to lisiten harder' the two bicker
'You want to put it on?' Dustin asks exaspeated
'I'm driving' steve complains
'guys !' You say as you see the big wall approaching
'You do the driving i do the the navigating' dustin says too locked in,
Steve and dustin are arguing on the singlas as you shout 'steve slow down!'
'Steve watch out!' Nancy cries too
But he sees it too late and when he does slow down its too late
And you all crush in the strangest wall you have ever seen
