HOFAS BOOKS A MILLION BONUS CHAPTER
Sarah J. Maas Bonus Chapter Masterlist
Many people have posted images of the bonus chapters from Sarah J. Maas's books, and I thank you for giving us access to content we would have missed out on otherwise. However, no one has posted all of them, so I figure that I can collate the links in one place.
There are minor spoilers below the cut in the chapter descriptions, so be wary of looking too far ahead, if you have not read all the books.
Crescent City theory: Ruhn is definitely not The Autumn King’s son 👀
(HOSAB spoilers below)
Let’s start with the physicality of Ruhn. He looks nothing like his father and has nothing of his temperament. It's not that Ruhn is his mother's son or that he insists on pointing out he's nothing like his father and everything like his mother's kin. It's about how every time Ruhn shares page space with TAK he will point out how similar Bryce is to their father both in looks and personality and how he’s the oddball out. Now, anyone can look nothing like their parent and not act like them at all while still being their biological child. But, it's how Ruhn will then show how out of place he feels after these encounters with TAK—but also with Bryce.
When Ruhn looks at Bryce he sees their father. If she exhibits any of TAK's personality, Ruhn is very quick to point it out in his POV. He'll then follow those comparisons up with how Bryce should be the heir not him, and how he's "the last of the Starborn line." I feel like Ruhn sees TAK and Bryce as two sides of the same red and Autumn coin, while he’s their shadow (literally since all his magic comes from Avallen). Ruhn is also not the only character to see the differences and similarities between TAK, Ruhn, and Bryce. Hunt is catching on. Since there’s a bloodhound in close proximity to Ruhn currently, he’s gonna get exposed in cc3. Which makes me believe that Danika knew Ruhn and Bryce weren’t sired by the same man.
TAK is never not disappointed with Ruhn. When they share page space, TAK will belittle Ruhn by expressing his frustration and disappointment that Ruhn isn't the son TAK wanted/expected. Sure, this could all only mean that TAK is a piece of shit father who doesn't deserve Ruhn, but I also think it's setting the stage for Ruhn in CC3 to learn he's not TAK's son but an Avallen son.
“I am Bryce Quinlan,” she said to the Gate, to the void, to all of Hel behind it. Her voice was serene—wise and laughing. “Heir to the Starborn Fae.”

❗️House of Sky and Breath spoilers and theories part 2 becaus none of my friends read fantasy:
- as another tumblr user has already pointed out: Hunt‘s last line is really concerning, it was something like „and then Hunt knew nothing“ plus the Asteri told him Hunt wouldn’t need the slave crown so the only thing I can imagine is Hunt getting his memories wiped and when Bryce comes back she sees him fighting for the Asteri and I don’t think my heart can take this
- it will be great for the Quinlar tension though not gonna lie
- I don’t know if this has already been pointed out but I think the Angels might have been created by the Asteri. They are their loyal servants and they should keep the other Vanir in check
- ok so I love the gang BUT I have to say that they sometimes acted super stupid like thinking Madoc wouldn’t smell them, or going to that rebel island and showing everyone their faces or going to the Asteri archives and NOT getting suspicious when there is literally NO guard, no one….
- ok so do you think Prythian gang will know about queen Theia? And I also kind of want Bryce to meet the Autumn court just to say something snarky
- so Truth Teller is the second sword, which is really cool and interesting
- because I think Bryce will take both swords back to her world and after she finished whatever she has to do with them she will take Truth Teller back to Azriel and that would be the PERFECT start for Azriel‘s POV book
- soooo I think CC3 will be the next book we are getting and ACOTAR5 will be later, everything else would be confusing, so you could still read Acotar without having to read CC
- I‘m really not sold about the motives the demon princes have, I think Aidas truly loved Theia and would do everything to help Bryce but what about the others? Didn’t Apollion say Bryce and Hunt are his final end bosses? Does he want to invade CC?
- because why would SJM include Ari the dragon when she can kill demons and not angels or Asteri with her fire?
- plus I like it that magical fire is a universal way to kill demons (Queen Aelin did it first)
- I also think Bryce hasn’t accessed her full potential. She said so herself that she can feel her power source but can’t reach it so we still have to get a full power up of her!!!
- I really want to know more about thunderbirds because why would SJM include them when it’s a dead end anyways? There has to be more about it since Bryce and Hunt basically BOTH have the thunderbird ability to suck in energy and reuse it
- I wonder if it was just foreshadowing to that being the ultimate power one would need to destroy the Asteri since they killed all Thunderbirds OR
- if one of the characters we know has Thunderbird blood in them
- I said it before and I say it again, if I don’t get my girl Aelin in a CC book I will riot!
- ok so I had another thought and question, how do we define the different worlds?! Are they different dimensions/universes (I think that’s what they told us in TOG) or are they just different planets? In CC both terms got used
- I really really like Baxian, I will protect him and I hope he gets the love and affection he deserves
- sooo Ithan and the Fendyr Alpha, huh?
- since she is a mysthic I am positive that she will help guide Bryce through the worlds at one point
- I still know nothing about Jesiba, I wanna know so bad who or what she really is and why she keeps helping Bryce
- I sometimes wondered if the Viper Queen might be a Valg? Since she could control Tharion and it gave me major Dorian flashbacks
- Tharion… boy I love you but what went through your brain when you offered yourself to the viper queen?!
- So does ANYONE know how many books will be in the CC series? Because I feel like 3 books isn‘t really a lot time to overthrow a whole government of Asteri, even if Hel should help (and I think that not all of the Hel princes would simply help Bryce and then return happily to their world)
- I still think about the orcale and Rhun a lot, why would the royal bloodline end with him?! If Bryce should become queen (which I actually don’t think will happen) the royal bloodline didn’t end
- so I think ultimately CC will establish some kind of democratic government, I don’t see how kings and queens would fit in there without the Asteri tbh
- Cormac dying was kind of sad since I felt like he had a lot of potential
- do you think we will see the Avallen territory? It’s kind of still a mystery and I feel like they might hide something
- ok so that’s it for now lol
I’m living for these theories.
Friendly reminder that this is the first thing Lidia says to Hunt after showing up in Lunathion:
I mean Ruhn gives her a bevy of context clues the night before (that he has a sister and a cruel, powerful, and crafty father, plus that he’s in the city), and she’s an interrogation expert and a spy.
Homegirl knows exactly who Agent Night is pretty early on.
Flynn and Ariadne giving me Nessian vibes
Nessian
Ruhn: *is gone for one day*
Dec, Flynn and Ithan: *set free three fire sprites and a dragon illegally in their home*
Ruhn:

I’ll start:
Tell Me Why, by Taylor Swift
PERFECT for Feyre and Tamlin
Planned Future Works in Brandon Sanderson’s Cosmere
The Stormlight Archive
Books 4-10
They will feature flashbacks (in order) of Eshonai & Venli, Szeth, Lift, Renarin, Ash, Taln, and, finally, Jasnah.
There will be a timeskip of approximately 15 years between books 5 and 6.
Stormlight Novellas
Wandersail, a Rysn novella set between Oathbringer and Rhythm of War.
Horneater, a novella about Lunamor, the Unkalaki also known as Rock. It is set post-Oathbringer, involving him returning to his homeland.
An untitled Lopen Novella set between The Way of Kings and Words of Radiance.
Mistborn
The Lost Metal, the final Wax and Wayne novel.
Mistborn Era 3 trilogy
Takes place in an urban setting with a 1980’s technology level and is like a Cold War era spy thriller.
Mistborn Era 4 trilogy
A space opera, with interplanetary travel. Hoid will be a main character in this Era.
Dragonsteel
A series of books that will only be written after Stormlight Archive is completed. The number of installments has changed over time but it was recently stated to be three books.
The Liar of Partinel/The Lightweaver of Rens feature Hoid’s origin story and will be fitted into the Dragonsteel trilogy.
Elantris trilogy
Elantris 2 takes place ten years later and follows Sarene’s cousin’s Kaise, Daorn, and Adien as ambassadors to Fjorden.
Elantris 3 will conclude the Elantris trilogy. It will likely feature a different trio of protagonists.
Nightblood
Nightblood will be a Warbreaker sequel. It will feature Vasher and Vivenna facing off against Yesteel.
The Silence Divine
A novella set on Ashyn in the Rosharan system, where diseases grant magical abilities.
Aether of Night
A trilogy that retains the location in the cosmere and the magic system from Brandon’s unpublished tenth novel. All else will be different because various elements of the original were cannibalized for his other works (e.g. Decay becoming Ruin).
The Dust Brigade
A novel set on Threnody.
It was originally planned to be the story of the people who fled to the Forests of Hell after the Evil destroyed their Homeland.
He has since considered changing the story to that of an expedition being sent back to rid the Homeland of the Evil.
‘It doesn’t go well for them. Opening scene is all ships sinking and people washing up on shore.’
Silverlight
A novella starring the Khriss in the Cognitive Realm.
Sixth of the Dusk
A sequel novella about Sixth exploring the Cognitive realm.
