No, I don’t want to support Qwel right now, and honestly, idk if I will even after she says something about what happened, given it’s been a few days. (and of course I don’t support Rox especially)

BUT. I want to still make content for DW and my AU. I’m sorry, I can’t just terminate my interest for something immediately, especially with how suddenly the situation came out. One (or more, not sure) of the victims have said that it’s okay to still make content for DW and to play the game, so I’ll take their word for it. Not sure if I’ll play right now because I think developers still get money from just that? I’m not sure, but you’ll still see content from me personally! And hey, if I spend so long getting a post out, she should’ve said something about it by that point.

I mean, hey, if I can still make content for Miraculous of all things, I think I’ll be fine lol

hehe I had an idea

with Finn’s Toon of the Week last week, I decided to do something special to celebrate it!! (no this isn’t the special thing I mentioned in my last post lol)

I REMADE BASSERKER’S REFERENCE!!! Huge shoutout to coinholder for his redesign hehe

and we also developed him a bit more! Info below the cut, here we go ✨

Reasoning/backstory:

okay so, as we learned from the new lore video, Finn loves telling facts about marine life just as much as he loves making puns about them

recently, in the AU cartoon universe, Finn starts to worry a little about how much his peers really enjoy hearing his fishy facts. So, Finn feels like he needs to start telling more jokes just to keep others interested. Sometimes he feels like only a few people enjoy hearing about sea life, including Dyle, and even then, Dyle is an incredibly busy Toon who Finn barely sees

This all was only the beginning and background to Finn’s akumatization

One day, Finn realizes that his precious toy fish, Barnaby Wilikers, goes missing

The fishbowl searches everywhere, asking his friends, going to his favorite places, and even putting up posters for Barnaby. Alas, the toy fish is nowhere to be found

Little did he know though, Shrimpo stole Barnaby as a prank while Finn was taking a nap near his favorite fishing site. Stupidly, Shrimpo didn’t fess up when Finn asked, wanting to continue his mischief

As always though, Shrimpo’s pranks and acts of rage always catches up to him in the end …

Finn gives up his search for Barnaby and tries to go fishing to clear his mind. Nothing’s biting, so it doesn’t help much. While he’s having his little monologue about his conflicting feelings to himself, lamenting about his mild fun fact insecurity and loss of his best fish pal, Allureium strikes, of course.

He convinced the fishbowl that nobody actually wanted to hear him educate them, if at all, especially now that Barnaby, the only one that always stayed with him, was gone. And to make everybody listen to his fun facts out of fear, and to find Barnaby in the process, Finn would need some powers, and to get a certain hero’s earrings …

Powers:

Finn goes from a joyful, jokester fishbowl to an incredibly bitter land shark. Basserker (haha like. bass and berserk. me last year was a genius /silly) isn’t extremely evil, but he definitely let the idea of nobody really caring what he has to say run wild in his mind

Basserker’s main power is a summoning type of power. He still makes tons of puns, not to make others laugh, but more for his own benefit

If he makes a pun for a specific sea animal, he can summon said animal to attack his victims. Sharks, electric eels, you name it, he can summon if there’s the perfect pun for it

As much as he still makes puns, Basserker is much more insistent on making sure others pay attention to his marine facts. He even likes to tell them while his victims are being attacked by the animals he summons <3

Speaking of sharks, Basserker also has a tracking power to hunt other Toons down, thanks to Bruce, the shark inside his head (full design is at the end of the post)

Bruce, who’s basically Barnaby’s replacement to fill the void in Basserker, has a great sense of smell

Basserker uses him to track Barnaby, and other toons down. Usually, Basserker likes to target a particular person, following and hunting them relentlessly until the right moment to strike

Bruce has a cue whenever he’s sniffing out for things, he dives all the way into Basserker’s head (how he fits is beyond me /silly)

The fish at the end of his fishing hook is also a little helpful for fishing for other toons as well hehe

I. unfortunately also haven’t thought of much for his defeat specifically, so let’s move onto the fluff hehe

Aftermath/Side Effects:

I don’t imagine Finn’s akuma-nap being too long, I think it would be cute if he was defeated on the beach so he can take a nap there on a lounge chair or something :3

Obviously, when Finn awakened, he felt terrible for what happened. Although, once he admitted to his closest friends about how he felt, they swore to hear him out on his fun fishy facts more often. Both entertainment and education can be fun, after all!

And the best part? Since I’d imagine Basserker’s episode was before HATRED’s, Shrimpo was stepping closer to his semi-redemption arc, so he gave Barnaby back to Finn and admitted his prank! In a very screechy, yelling way, but a way nonetheless. The shrimp even reluctantly promised to never take Barnaby ever again, especially with how … nervous Basserker made him

Finn also didn’t receive any terrible side effects, although, his main side effect is that he got to keep Bruce! Bruce isn’t a full-sized shark though, he’s now a little wind-up toy shark, much like Barnaby

Unlike Barnaby though, he isn’t very passive and doesn’t like staying in Finn’s head

he’s a lot like Twisted Barnaby, actually. He loves jumping out to bite other toons, and even likes fighting and nibbling at Barnaby when he is inside. He’s like. Barnaby’s weird bitey roommate

Extra Trivia!!!!!:

Basserker’s diver goggles change shape with his expression, the middle shifts down when angry, shifts up when sad, etc etc (kinda like how. Sonic’s eyes are if you know what I mean)

since I like to think Barnaby might be more alive than we think, he was pretty hard for Shrimpo to handle. He flopped around like a slippery bar of soap and everything /silly

Princess Bloombasher's Mook: Flora

Bio: Butterfly that flew into Bloombasher's Life after she saved her from getting eaten by a spider. Flora helps Bloombasher grow more plants in her garden and even pollenates them. Flora even gives Bloom new plant abilities by finding flowers and literally putting them into her head.

Trivia:

She is the Mother of Grade

Flora is usually seen napping on Bloombasher's flowers in her head

Was mistaken as a Akuma one time and almost was killed for it.

So this is Captain Reaper, his design was inspired by Captain Hardrock from the actual miraculous ladybug so I already added his information and powers/ability on his info + if you don't know who's phantom knight thats soulvester's akuma form but a different version of mine

The reason why he's been akumatized:

-He had an huge argument with his son, Finn before he harsh him gone to far

After he's been akumatized he needs to find his son to stay by his side (forcely)

And his original form, his name is Kevin and he's a life guard

His Akuma object is the binocular that it became an telescope when he's akumatized

Reasoning/Backstory:

okay so, obviously her reason could do something with her situation with Cocoa, although, with this AU taking place in the cartoon, the ‘main replacement’ situation didn’t really. happen. so I just think it was Bassie feeling generally jealous/useless

Cocoa loves helping out, Bassie feels like Cocoa’s “more helpful” than she is (which isn’t really true obviously, Cocoa is kinda just more eager to offer help when someone needs it), especially with the abilities Cocoa has, like jumping to reach higher places

During the preparation for the yearly Spring/Easter Festival, Bassie starts becoming worried that she’s useless since she’s really only being asked to help carry things and other minor things and not actually preparing for the festivities

The whole town is excited for Easter and the festivities that come with it, and not exactly Spring itself, which makes her feel even more dismissed due to her being a flower basket, which isn’t very Easter themed itself, especially compared to her fellow Easter peers

She tried to offer help to decorate with flowers, to no avail as the town is already pretty decorated with plenty of other things

slightly off-topic tangent- but I like to think Bassie’s akumatization particularly affected Shelly, as she knows what it’s like to feel dismissed like that

In fact, Shelly wanted Bassie’s help with organizing her fossil plant collection and went to her instead of Cocoa since she figured that Bassie would be more knowledgeable on the topic

That did make Bassie feel a bit better, but then spiraled into being upset again once she was alone again and she realized that nobody seemingly wanted her help

Bassie’s anxiety spiraled out of control, so she goes off to a flower garden by herself to calm down …………… you know what this means

oooohhhh shiiiiiitttttt is that ALLUREIUM AGAIN???!?!?!?1!1?2!1?2!1?!11?1!1!1!! /silly

Powers:

So, Princess Bloombasher’s powers are what you might expect, she can grow plenty of different flowers with different effects.

BB is kinda … spaced out most of the time, so she usually spends her time scuttling around, growing her flowers wherever she goes. She doesn’t really become confrontational unless her little jungle area is disturbed and destroyed

The first thing BB does is grow a HUGE garden across ……….. Gardenview /silly

Every house is covered in flowers, the ground is basically just a huge flowerbed

The flower she grows and their effects are, but not limited to, poppies for deep sleep, forget-me-nots for memory loss, white baneberries are non-aggressive spies (because they look like eyes-), gloriosa and water lilies for fire and water attacks respectively, ivy that work as tangling traps, sundews that are sticky traps, venus flytraps that directly attack, dandelion seed puffs that obscure vision, cactus for spiky ouchies (/silly), etc etc.

I do like to think there are flowers that are beneficial though, like honeysuckles for energy boosts and big, magical clovers that can be used as helicopters :3

those aren't the only flowers she uses :)

The Whispering Flower!!!

so for a little exposition:

the Whispering Flower, in the cartoon world (since there isn't any of the spooky game lore from recently), is just a regular flower, but Bassie is very attached to it because it's so unique, having that eye-like center and all, so she keeps it with her in her basket-head at all times so it stays safe

once it's possessed by the akuma though… oh that's where the fun begins ^w^

as the corrupted item for Princess Bloombasher, it now functions as a PARASITE that can root itself into the mind of another Toon and take total control of them

while it's in the process of attaching itself to a target, that Toon will have a mental battle to resist its thrall and overcome it, preventing it from mind controlling them

if they fail to do that, however, they will become an unwavering servant to Bloombasher

the host for the flower has a partial will, as they will do anything to achieve the goal Bloombasher set for them, but otherwise cannot act of their own volition

once attached, the flower cannot be removed unless Bloombasher herself allows it to, either by directly pulling it off or by commanding its current host to find a new Toon to take over

HEHEHEHEHEHEHE silly flower. i'm still trying to figure out what inspired me for the whole parasite thing lol

……………… what was that /silly (HEHEHEHEHEH ty for dippy for typing this part out :3)

okay we. haven’t thought too much about her defeat or anything like that yet- I. really wanted to get this out today so I’ll just move onto Bassie’s side effects

Aftermath/Side Effects:

Luckily, Bassie hadn’t gotten any terrible side effects, but certainly got an annoying one. The flowers inside Bassie’s head began having a serious overgrowth problem with both vines and with the flowers themselves. They grow way too quickly and get in her face and everything. Bassie usually now has to carry clippers with her if they randomly get out of control, and they have to be managed regularly.

After Bassie was deakumatized and while she was taking her silly akuma-nap, which I don’t imagine being TOO long, the others decided to try to find room to put the flowers Bassie wanted, either by actual flowers or painting them on the walls or floors. Everything is slightly less …………. e g g s

cute idea- Cocoa decides to make a bunch of bonbons and have Cosmo and Sprout help make fondant flowers to put on top of them. Cocoa expresses how she wished Bassie could’ve said something, as she would’ve loved to have her help them out

note: I’m. still not sure if Bassie’s akumatization is before or after Cocoa’s, I’ll have to figure that out when I figure out Cocoa’s incident-

now, Bassie doesn’t seem to at least entirely hate Cocoa canonically, they just have a. really really rough communication issue, which- the canon incident they have is definitely worse than the one they have in my AU, so I feel like there is room for them to at least sort of repair their friendship here. Obviously being envious towards your friend isn’t great or anything- but luckily, here, it’s mostly because of Bassie’s inner anxieties

okie I think that’s it- sorry if it’s not as thought out as. a certain horse and mirror (/silly) but I did wanna try to get this out on Easter- which I technically did!!!!!!!!!

i can’t believe i only now just realized this, but like…the p*lished p*rfectionist (have to censor his name i despise him/j) is literally just stereotyped Glisten. Like, the ACTUALLY egotistical, selfish, bratty, god forbid I say Joyride glisten that a lot of the fandom liked to make him out to be for a while. but yeah- shockingly, Perfect being similar to that version of fanon Glisten was actually a coincidence- I was only properly in the fandom for a few days when I first made Perfect so I didn’t know anything really. I guess I kinda just thought up his powers and was like “hey I bet the guy that forces people to witness their biggest insecurities is probably a mean person” /silly

sort of unrelated ramble- but this kinda reminds me of something dippy mentioned to me. Perfect is a LOT like Glisten in his looks, and he’s probably the most similar looking akuma to their civilian counterpart. He’s basically just Glisten … but more. More curls, more makeup, bigger bow, bigger ego. idk- I guess it’s something also not exactly intentional but yeah. It only made Glisten’s trauma worse because he looks so much like him :)
