"Tai?!" he cried, falling over in a heap along with the other boy. "Jeez, what are you doing?" Matt pushed him off and got to his feet. Dusting his clothing off he looked over at his friend.
"What’s the hurry?"
Grinning like an idiot, Tai got his feet as well after being pushed off of Matt, and rolling on his back. Scratching his head, he eyed the blond.
"I just haven't seen you....so what else would you think I'd do?"

Duskmon narrowed his eyes and spoke, "Why would I lie when the truth is so much more painful?"
Though he grunted as the other’s crest started to shine brightly. The demon was driven back, averting himself and almost stumbling backwards. But as a creature of grace, he instead seemed to shrink back into the soft shadow cast by the orange glow.
"Believe what you want. You’re just a pest," he grunted.
"I was minding my own business until you came and decided I was a threat. Now you know that I am, you should move along, digidestined."
He wanted to run, but where would he go? There was no exit near, that he could see at least. And this guy was so daunting, that Taichi couldn't let him be. He was a danger.
"Move along? How can I when you need to be dealt with!?" Taichi as brave, it was a trait he and some of his friends shared but mostly him. His courage knew no boundaries and he'd get to the bottom of whatever the thing/man/demon in front of him was.

"Doing what?" The demon digimon tilted his head, the visage of a child’s face stretched into an unfitting little smirk. Though his tone was nothing if not genuine. "I have done nothing."
Despite the fact Duskmon was technically telling the truth, his nature was and would always be darkness and manipulation. There was always something hidden in what the corrupted warrior said.
"This is only the darkness of your mind taking manifestation. I haven’t even touched you. Yet."
It was bad. The whole situation was not something he wanted to be in. Not in the slightest.
The darkness of his...mind? What was he trying to do?? It had to be a trick. Or so, that's what Taichi hoped, in the back of his mind.
He shivered under the gaze of those red eyes. "How do I know you aren't messing with me!? I don't believe this is real!!" The light from his crest intensified yet again as he finally grabbed it from inside his shirt. Alert to the danger his adversary presented, the crest was valiant.
"Matt!!" The brunette was running toward the blond, and bowled him over with his tackle.
Onii-chan! You sure know what day it is today, right?
"I sure do!! It’s the anniversary of the day we saved the world!!"
Hikari couldn’t be any happier and the wide smile across her face was the proof of it. She wasn’t expecting anything from Taichi more than his gratitude for the chocolates with one of his smiles, those she adored so much and made her smile in return, but this was beyond that.
The necklace was just perfect for her. She could picture her brother and his partner making it and brought her even more joy. She was so lucky, she had the best brother in the world.
Tailmon laughed at Koromon’s comment and nodded in agreement with him. “That’s right, and this is just yours, we got chocolate for everyone,” she replied and glanced at the siblings. Hikari was admiring her necklace and both of them seemed happy, so the cat-like Digimon smiled.
"Did you get a lot of chocolate, onii-chan?" Hikari asked, smiling. She hoped so, he deserved it!
He was so elated to be there with his sister, even though his younger sister was older for some reason, he was still happy. As they had exchanged gifts and said their hellos, the male had an idea.
"Hey Hikari, let's go get Ice Cream!!" That would be a great thing for them to do as a family, and better to get out than stand around all day.
"Yeah I got some chocolate from our friends and even mom." He laughed as he thought about the bars he had sneaked into his room so Koromon could try some.

Duskmon didn’t have the power he normally should. He stayed in the shadows, as passive as usual, and wanted nothing to do with another lost soul. But as Taichi’s crest glowed, the soft orange light like a flame lit the darkness into relief. Until all that remained was a scared little boy in a cocoon of his own foolish bravery.
The darkness surrounded him, but the shadows did not further approach. From the other’s light, they had faded into the darkness as mere shadows would. Duskmon had no more power over the Spirits afraid of their own shadow. All that was left was to confront them…
Duskmon appeared behind them, quiet and calm, watching them for a time under an intense, red gaze before he spoke with the art of the shadows.
"I’m here."
He was scared, he'd admit that, but still. Taichi could combat the evil he was faced with, he always had. Clutching at his crest, the light intensified, because the holder was in danger, and the Crest of Courage was trying to nullify said danger.
When the other being spoke from behind Taichi, the brunette jumped, turning his head slowly to meet the horrid red gaze he was under. He didn't like it and held his crest tighter.
"Why are you doing this?"

"Hn!" she nodded respectfully, although barely containing the smile on her face.
"Onii-chan! Aren’t you excited?"
"Sure am!! What do you wanna do?"
"Hey, how 'bout we go and see our friends?? Would you like that?? We can probably use the computer in the Office!!" He likely knew it would fail, but there was nothing to lose with trying. He really wanted to see Agumon too, he really missed his friend.

"I’m great, how ‘bout you squirt?" He wrapped a hand around hers, pulling Hikari into a gentle hug. "Happy Chocolate Day." He remarked, knowing she’d understand. That’s what they called the day together, since their mom often made Chocolate.
"I’m good" she said returning the hug with a smile plastered across her face. " Happy chocolate day Onii chan." Hikari was happy when she spent time with her older brother. He was after all her closest friend.
Hikari was so good, the best little sister he or any other guy could ask for. He was lucky to have her. If an only child, he's likely be bored to death every day. But they had each other, and that mattered to them.
Smiling, he led his younger sibling to the kitchen, so that they could soon enjoy the candies their mom was making...
