Surprise! I'm changing my name on my socials!

This is something I've been wanting/planning to do for a while, but decided to commit to it now. Tl;dr, "Slugpup" is almost a decade old and didn't come from me, so I wanted something that can represent the current me and is a bit more original.

"Starpie" comes from me combining something from my two "sona-y" OCs, Mel and Risa, who are drawn here! Specifically, "star" is from Risa's star aesthetic, and "pie" is from Mel being based on magpies. Since it incorporates two characters I've put a lot of myself into, it seems fitting.

i genuinely forget how orange i make my marisa's hair until i look at other people's fanart

i also have a theory for why this happened, which basically boils down to "it's cause i really got into touhou when 18 came out"

#slugpup rambles #the longer cut of the theory is that #in th18 her hair was a lot more orange than it usually is #and since that was the most recent game for me that sprite is what i'd grab for drawing reference #and thus i've been stuck with a very orange haired marisa ever since #at least it'd be a funny explaination for this random design choice that's stuck for so long
