Despite the burning color of magma red staring at Jonathan from below, the faint blue from the corner of his eyes almost made him jump. The glowing sigil on his neck and warm humming in his ears made him smile because that meant she wasnât too far away.Â
During âslip-upsâ like these, Jonathan is truly grateful that Adrienne can only find him on the astral plane where sheâs significantly safer.Â
Hanging up the phone and tucking away into his pocket, Jonathanâs lips felt the need to curl into a grin at the first sight of her. âOnly always. And again, Iâm really sorry about dinner. Again.â
âItâs fineâ She had only spent what? Two weeks learning how to cook, with debatable success? âHow the hell do we get you out of here?â The witch murmured, her eyes drifting upward looking for an obvious exit and finding none. Why is there never a conveniently placed ladder when you need one?
âCanât you just ⊠you know? poof yourself out?â Preferably somewhere a little higher up on the volcano?
âDo you want to channel me? Maybe with my power we can get you a little bit more control on where the hell youâre landing.â It might risk Adrienneâs ability to find him later, but anywhere has to be better than here right?
âI donât really see this in a poofing capacity, babe.â Heâs really lucky that she cares about him enough to come and help him even after being a terrible dinner date. Or that he accidentally called her babe. Again.Â
Channeling isnât a bad idea and with Adrienne he can probably use her magic as a beacon to beam himself home but on the off chance it could hurt her. . . .Â
âMaybe. We could use the sigil on my neck as kind of like a magnet that can drag me towards you. It wonât require too much for either of us. You just need to be a boss ass witch and I listen to you.â
