Dusk: What kind of bad dream…? And why do you look monster-y right now?
-she walks up to the bed and sits next to him holding her Candy Tree Squishable plush, Bonnie-
[🔷] Cripes, Dusk was persistent. Tom put his head back into his knees, he could barely stand to look at her, knowing full well anything he said wasn't gonna dissuade her from asking questions.
"That's what it was about...The monster stuff"
Dusk: What exactly though? Are you OK…?
Dusk: But you look sad…. I don’t like seeing you sad…
-she flips on the light switch, only to see Tom looking… Different than he normally does. His purple horns had emerged, his tail torn out of his pants, and his stegosaurus-esque back scales torn through his night shirt-
[🔷] Tom hissed and quivered a bit upon the lights turning on. He never wanted her to see him like this. Maybe if he'd just convince her to go back to bed, they can just pretend this never happened at all.
"I just...I just had a bad dream, g-go back to bed." it was still rather difficult to speak as he tried to stop himself from sobbing once more.
Dusk: What kind of bad dream…? And why do you look monster-y right now?

-one night, around 1 in the morning, a young girl leaves the bathroom of the house her friends share, having been woken up by her bladder-
Dusk: -yawns- Ah… Now back to sleepies…
-as the young girl makes her way back to the guest room, however, she hears muffled crying behind the door of her most enigmatic friend-
Dusk: Huh? Is Mr. Tom OK…?
-she then enters the room-
Dusk: -yawn- Mr. Tom?

[🔷] Oh it was Tom alright, but in a state that the others usually never saw; crying.
His heart and tears momentarily stopped the moment he heard the door opened. There were no lights, but the light from the open door, which illuminated him in his sorry state. He was sitting in the on the bed, hugging his knees and sobbing into them.
Normally he'd just shout at whoever it was to leave, but it was Dusk, so he'd restrained himself. All that sobbing would've made it harder to do so anyway.
"...Go-Go back to bed..." that's all he could mutter in between his short, sorrowful breaths.
Dusk: But you look sad…. I don’t like seeing you sad…

And they're starring daggers at each other....
Dusk: Um… How about you guys play Rock Paper Scissors? The winner gets first pick!

[💥] "Oh they're out sick, so it's just Tom and I today."
[🔷] "Lucky us..."
Dusk: Oh. Well, we can still have fun, Mr. Tom! What do you wanna do first? What do you guys wanna play?

[💥] "Why yes, it does! But it also means I won't stand out too much in public now!"
[🔷] "Speaking of standing out...Could you please put on some pan-"
Before Tom could finish that thought, the door to Tord's room opened once again, this time, Edd was the one walking in, with Matt just behind him.
[🥤] "Ah! Tord, Tom, Blaze, Dusk. I was wondering where you all-
werrrrrrrre....."
[💥] "Eh heh...Surprise~"
[💜] "You look different, Tord..."
"New haircut, perhaps?"
[💥] "New skin's more like it."
[💜] "Come again?"
[🔥] "Flesh module. He basically made himself a skin suit that protects him from water. Makes him look more human as well."
[💥] "Precisely!"
[🥤] "Oh..."
"Well isn't that cool and convenient?"
"But please... put on some damn pants."
Dusk: Yay, we can go to the water park now! :D But Mr. Edd is right, can you put some pants on now please?
Dusk: Miss Blaze! Mr. Tom! Mr. Karlsen hasn’t left his room again! What do you think he’s working on this time? Should we go check on him?
[🔥] Blaze gave out a sigh upon hearing this. "Fine, let's go see what he's up to." then she got off the couch and gabbed Tom's arm, forcing him along as she walked to Tord's room. Dusk following behind them.
[🔷] "Hey! Why are you taking me with you?!"
[🔥] "If we need someone to distract him from his work, you're the best bet."
Blaze knocked on the door to Tord's room, his laboratory. There was no response. Then she knocked on it again, but with a little more force, same thing.
Fed up with the lack of results, Blaze opened the door and walked in, still dragging Tom behind her.
It was in the lab that they saw Tord, or rather, his silhouette, in the darkness. Whatever he was working on, he must've preferred to doing it in the dark.
[🔥] "Tord! It's been days since you've left your room! Dusk's been worried sick...again!"
Tord looked up from his work desk to see his friends, he took off his headphones, yet still remained in the dark.
[💥] "Yes yes...Would it have killed you to knock first?"
[🔷] "She did knock." Tom then went over to the nearby light switch. You didn't say any-"
With a fwip of the light switch, the three saw Tord bright as day, only...he was different. For a while, they had seen him red, black, and grey all over (aside from his hair), ever since he got mechanized by his evil (and thankfully now dead) clone.
But as they saw him right now...He resembled his former human self, only with black lines across his body. The lines were on his face, two lines were vertical, ending at Tord's eyes. The rest were all on his joints. Oh, and he didn't have clothes on.
"-thing...."
[🔥] Blaze quickly covered Dusk's eyes, despite the fact Tord didn't have anything to hide anymore. All of them staring at him in bewilderment.
"Tord...You're, human again..."
[💥] "Not exactly..."
"This here is my new "Flesh Module"! Made with a flexible material akin to human skin! Think of it like my very own skin suit."
"And the best part? With it, I have finally made myself waterproof!"
"I wanted it to be a surprise..."
Dusk: So does that mean you can finally take me to the water park this summer, Mr. Karlsen?! :D

[💜] Matt was taken aback upon hearing the Evans girl's voice. "D-Dusk! I didn't know you were here!"
"I didn't mean to play that song! A mirror in my room just started playing it!"
[🔥] Blaze turned to Matt with a look of impatience. "And you didn't turn it off because...?"
[💜] "The song was so catchy! And I forgot! And I don't even think I can! There wasn't an off switch!" At least, none that he saw...maybe he just didn't look hard enough.
[💥] "If that's true, then I think we know what we have to do..."
[💜] Matt gasped in horror "You don't mean-"
[💥] "Should there really not be an off switch...yes. Yes I do mean we have to destroy it." Tord then went on his way to Matt's room.
[💜] "NOOOOOO! Anything but that! It's too pretty to die!" Matt shouted as he held onto Tord's right leg. Tord payed no mind to this, just moving along while dragging the ginger behind him.
[🥤] "Well, while they're handling...that....Let's just keep an eye on Tom until he turns back."
[🔥] "Fine by me..."
Dusk: Can I help? I brought Daddy’s old GameCube, if you guys maybe wanna watch me play Super Smash Bros. Melee!
M!A: Tom’s stuck as a monster for the next seven asks!
[🔷] There Tom was, just sitting on the chair reading...who knows what. But this peace and quiet would quickly be broken by the accursed jolly song emerging from Matt's room...
"Oh no..."
"Oh no" was right...As, against his very will, his form began to twist and morph in a slurry of purple both neon and dark. Screams emitting from the eyeless Brit, which would quickly turn to beastly growls, as he had no choice but to endure the transformation.
[🥤] "TOM! Is everything okay?!" Edd shouted as he made his way down the hallway.
Spurred by the sounds of Tom's screams, Edd, Blaze, and Tord quickly burst into the living room. Matt did as well, only more sheepishly...
All of them stared for a moment at the big purple monster in the room. They were used to Tom going through this by now, but that didn't diminish their concern over his screams when he did.
[🔥] "Oh Tom...is it that time of the month again?" Blaze gently walked up and placed a hand on Tom's now-large forehead. Just ignore how that saying is often associated with...something else.
[🔷] Tom hesitated for a moment, before merely shaking his head in denial. For in this form, he could not speak, only gesture.
[💥] It was then that Tord noticed Matt's guilty expression, and the music serenading from his room.
"Matt...were you playing Mariah Carey?"
[💜] "Iswearididn'tmeanto!it'sjustthatthemirrorinmyroomstartedplayingmusicrandomlyandIcouldn'thelpbutsingalong!" Matt stammered in a rapid fire fashion.
[💥] "Mhm...sure..."
[🥤] Edd let out a deep, sigh, he wasn't mad, just...disappointed. "Well, however it happened. Let's just get the music turned off and wait this out..."
Dusk: Mr. Edd? What’s going on— *sees Tom in his monster form, hears the music and clues in on what happened* Oh. Why did Mr. Matt start playing that song?
[🔥] "IT'S TIIIIIIME!~"
[🔷] Tom sighs, "Every year..."
[🔷] "...At least it's not Christmas..."
Dusk: Yaaaaaay!!!!!!
Dusk: Mr. Edd! Mr. Edd! What do you wanna do while I’m over for the weekend? Daddy said I could bring his N64 and the games for it! :3

Um… OK. Do you promise?
[💥] "Cross my heart." He was about to make the gesture of doing so before being interrupted by Tom.
[🔷] "But you don't have one..."
[💥] "Right..." Despite having his flesh turned to steel for quite a while, there were still human things he forgot that he no longer has access to. Such as a beating heart.
"Pinky promise, then?"

[💥] "Y-Yes! I was just joking! I wasn't actually gonna do it..." he nervously chucked.
[🔷] "Yes you were, don't lie to-" Tom was then shushed by Tord putting a finger to his lips.
[💥] "Tom. Hush. Let's not make the girl worry." Tord whispered to Tom before turning back to Dusk and clearing his throat (even though he didn't need to do the latter part).
"Rest assured, even if I wasn't joking. Tom would in no way be in any danger, pain, or discomfort."
"I doubt that..." Now Tom was the one murmuring stuff under his breath.
Um… OK. Do you promise?
Dusk: Mr. Tom! Could you show Mr. Karlsen what you look like as a monster? Pleeeeease? 🥺
[🔷] "Well..."
"Alright. Since you asked nicely." Besides, how could he say no to those puppy dog eyes?
Then, in less than a minute, Tom's form shifted from an eyeless man to a cyclopic purple beast. But could you really call him a cyclops if he doesn't have eyes?
"..." The beast was incapable of uttering words, but he did a little growl as to say "Well, what do you think?"
[💥] "..."
"My god...that's..."
"THAT'S SO COOL! How come you never told me you could do this?! Since when were you able to do this? Is this why you don't have eyes? Is this genetic? You HAVE to tell me everything!"
At the end of Tord's question tirade, Tom shifted back into his normal human-ish self.
[🔷] "Eh...maybe later." Tom cracked his neck a bit, transforming like that does put a little strain on the body. "It's a lot to unpack..."
[💥] "Fair enough. How about we unpack it in my lab? Hm?" Tord gave tom a quick wink. He wasn't thinking of just having a chat in there.
[🔷] "Ohhhh no! No way in HELL am I gonna be your guinea pig!"
[💥] "You're no fun..." Tord murmured under his (figurative) breath.
Mr. Karlsen, please tell me you were joking about experimenting on Mr. Tom…
