Alucard noticed the way you've been feeling down recently. The sadness and hollowness in your eyes, way less positivity in your voice, movement and mindset, even the way you've been slightly avoiding him. Of course he notices it - humans fascinate him, and when it comes to you, his beloved, his fascination doubles if not triples, so he notices even the slightest changes in your demeanor, no matter how much you're trying to hide them from him.

He chose to not adress this with you right away. He needed to make sure you feel comfortable first. As the creature of the dark, he doesn't know much about comforting people, but for you, he tries his best. The first step was to bring you your favourite flowers, and putting them in a weird yet beautiful vase - in an avantgarde style, the vase speaking love and devotion through it's untypical shape and colour. Your favourite snacks too, in case you're hungry. Next up are cuddles, if you need closeness at the moment. He tries his best to make sure that the hug is not too tight, that it's perfectly gentle and comforting as you need it to be, unless you need a hug so tight that it would feel like your bones are being crushed by him, then he'll gladly hug you like this. Also, gentle kisses on your forehead and cheeks.

And after some time, he spoke. His deep voice, usually loaded with conficence, mystery and violence his eyes saw and hands did, now carries a deep sense of love and worry - so untypical for a bloodthirsty vampire like himself.

"You're acting differently. Tell me what's going on." He doesn't say it, but you can see it in his eyes that he's begging for an answer. Then his voice switched to a more protective tone. "If it's about someone, you know very well that it will be a great pleasure for me to turn them into dust. I will not hesitate."

"That won't be needed, Alucard." you say, knowing that everything can turn into a horrible bloodshed if you pick a specific answer "All I need is your presence."

He stares at you for a few long seconds before pulling you into a hug, his usual smirk present on his face just like always.

"If that's what you wish. I'll remain by your side forever." he said.

And then he slaughtered those who wished you wrong, anyway. And he did it with a cruel, yet full of devotion, smile on his face.

Alucard headcanons

Hello everyone, this is actually my first post here on tumblr... I have absolutely no idea what I'm doing, but all I know is that I want to write fanfiction and headcanons for my favourite stuff! And I am OBSESSED with Alucard so here you go!

These are headcanons of Alucard in a relationship? I don't know how to label them, so just check and find out! They're sfw.

Through most of his life, or should I say unlife, he has been a scary monster whom everyone hates. Even the whole Millennium's plan on killing him was accompanied with calling him disgusting, a monster, a devil, etc. This way of humans portraying him made it hard for him to believe that someone could fall in love with him. A love confession was a shock to him. Yeah, he saw the signals, but he interpreted them as just being nice rather than being in love.

He doesn't pay much mind to the way people portray him, but it stays in the head anyway. You know, deep inside, buried under distant memories of people and events long forgotten. But it awoke when you told him 'I love you', and that's why he finds it shocking that you love him. Him? A horrible vampire who killed millions and drinks blood like water? Yeah, he found that very hard to believe and needed some time to accept that the feelings are true. Once he realized and accepted it, his confidence came back and it made him feel a little better with who he is.

I think his love language would be quality time. Even though he has lived for hundreds of years, he still believes that time is valuable as it shapes who we are. And if you choose to spend your time with him, then he thinks it's very special. He also wants to spend his time with people who are worth it. He also shows his love through both actions and words. He believes actions speak louder than words and that they show what he could truly do for someone important to him, but to him words are also a beautiful way of declaring love and other feelings people have for each other, especially since for all these centuries, he observed cultures grow and change, poems and books being written, songs being sang, etc., so he learned about cultures of both Romania, the country of his origin, and other countries as well, for example British culture as that's where he's been living for a long time now. It's hard for him to express affection, but these are the ways that are the closest to who he is. It's not always easy, but he tries.

Also, because of how rough his life always was not only he doesn't really know how to express affection, he also finds it a bit hard to be gentle. Also, he's just very strong physically. Sometimes it's hard for him to remember that he's supposed, for example, to gently stroke your hair, and not grab it so roughly that he'll crush your skull. But he's learning, just for his beloved.

He has a possessive nature, so it's easy for him to get jealous. It's not that he's insecure, or that he doesn't trust you, he's just afraid that someone will come and snatch what's important to him. If someone flirts with his beloved, he mostly just approaches his beloved and stands there menacingly, holding your hand, giving the other person a death stare. And if that doesn't scare them off, then... well... let's just say they had to say hello to Casull and Jackal!

When he entered the romantic relationship, he made an effort to learn how to be romantic. When it comes to dates, he absolutely loves going on walks to the forest. He also loves sitting on a rooftop of some high building, for example the Hellsing manor, and staring at the moon and the night sky. A shared bottle of wine wouldn't hurt, he thinks, so he often offers that.

As I wrote earlier, this is my first post here, so maybe I'll introduce myself a bit! I'm a yumeshipper and my f/o is Alucard. I love writing fanfiction and headcanons and I will happily take requests! My favourite manga is Hellsing, so I'll probably be mostly posting that. English isn't my first language.
