Seth giving half of their mental energy in fights to just trying to reign Aqua in, because she’s too young to understand that the monsters attacking her aren’t trying to play. But they still end up having to rely on her for attacks. Aqua keeping Seth’s spirits up, even if she annoys them. Seth getting excited and spinning Aqua around whenever she “defeats” a monster, just like in-game…
Green being a young teen and Orange being around ten. Green taking on the caretaker role without hesitation (parentified in their household?), and bandaging Orange up whenever she gets too reckless. Green trying to guide Orange to not fight every monster she sees, until Orange is able to clumsily talk it out with most monsters, while Green works as healer.
Yellow and Blue, don’t even get me started. Two young queer kids, meeting under dire circumstances, finding comfort and solace in each other until their feelings bloom. Awkward tweens with their first crushes. Yellow being fiercely protective of Blue, and Blue consistently believing that everything can work out (“comedy, not tragedy”).
Frisk fell down by themself. But the pattern is not broken this time. No, instead, their fall awakens Chara — their narrator. The last person to be saved in the pacifist route. Their constant companion through the Underground, just like all those before them.
Frisk was the lucky one, I think. Because their companion was dead from the start. As for the previous fallen children…
