It was definitely super cringe, obviously Ethan wasn't Ethan for a lot of it but it was also kinda cute?

Few random thoughts:

Definitely loved seeing Ethan + the gang way more than I expected to (although where was Sienna?) ❤️ and kinda glad it was set post-series

Ethan in the bar was more Ethan-y than weird parody grumpy Ethan at the beginning.

PB trying to hammer home that the new Hearts on Fire LI is the new Ethan Ramsey was hilarious. Like okay, cool, we get it 😂

I liked that they kept it ambiguous about whether Ethan was with MC or Harper or depending on who you romance in OH.

This was cute and to me, 100% OH MC:

The bar scene was the best bit. The rest of the plot was pretty boring, I did not give two shits about that fire 😂

Oh and this line reminded me of old Ethan who accidentally says funny dirty things:

Overall, wasn't as bad as OH3 so gotta be a win. What did you think?

Author’s note: I loved writing this as I was desperate to figure out what happened between Ethan and MC straight after the MK heist. There’s no way that kiss led to nothing. This is spoiler-free for chap 10 but there are also hidden hints for those who have read them. Hope you enjoy it!

Ethan took off his glasses, put down the documents on the security arrangements for the Senator’s arrival, and turned off the lamp. The office was finally silent, his whole team had left and it was the first time he could focus.

His phone buzzed with a notification and while any other sound would have been an unwelcome interruption, there was only ever one person who dared to text him.

It was nearly dawn, the first rays of sunlight crackling through the pink sky and Boston was still, in quiet reverence of what had just passed. Ethan had one hand on the wheel as they drove back to his apartment, the roads so empty he could stay focused on the precious cargo sitting in the passenger seat of his sedan.

He knew what she was doing. In her position he’d be doing it too. Staring out the window. Watching the world she thought she’d never see again rush past.
