Laetitia’s expression brightened when she realized that Galaxy had brought a sketchbook of his own, happy to know that he was able to draw more on his own. She nodded enthusiastically to his suggestion, going off to find her own sketchbook from a small bookshelf in her chamber.
“ Yes, yes, that would be so much fun! And maybe after, we can read a book together! ” The child laughed, pulling her sketchbook out of the shelf, but the mention of ‘another friend’ caught Laetitia’s attention and excited her… until a wailing noise, followed by numerous loud ‘THUD’s against the wall, interrupted them.
The startled girl flinched and let out a shriek, holding onto Galaxy for security. Though afraid of the noise, and not knowing what was happening in the next chamber over, Laetitia was still curious…
“ O-Oh… W-What’s that? ” Laetitia asked in a small whisper, looking in the direction of where the noises were coming from. “ It sounds like… someone crying in pain. ”
She soon realized that it really did sound like someone crying in pain, and though the voice sounded slightly gargled with gurgling noises in-between, it still sounded like the person was in pain…
“ Should we… wait here? The employees can handle it, right? But, but… they sound like they’re in so much pain… I’m worried. ”
“ Goddamn it… ” Another employee hissed, though in a subdued tone in an attempt to prevent the Abnormality from further panicking. He stood in front of the Abnormality that had just flung his co-worker to the wall in a panicked fit, deciding to make an attempt to calm the Abnormality down, lest it breach containment. Though visibly trembling, the man steeled himself and confronted the shark-like entity.
“ …Okay, okay. We won’t touch you. We will not touch you. We promise, so please, calm down. It’ll be fine. It’ll be fine, Dreaming Current. ” The employee slowly, carefully raised his hands, holding them up so that the Abnormality could see that they were nowhere near him and therefore, couldn’t touch him. He would then back away, continuing to assure the Abnormality that they wouldn’t touch him in a gentle tone, albeit with a noticeable shakiness to his voice.
“ I-It hurts, right? We… We’re sorry, Dreaming Current, so we won’t do it again… We won’t touch that syringe again… ”
The employee's wavering voice was met with labored breathing in response. Current had himself pressed against the wall, trembling as the area the syringe was embedded began to bleed again.
"NO TOUCH SHAAAARP," the abnormality wailed again, repeating the phrase twice. He had his eye on the employee with their hands up, the entire time. The door opened and two more employees rushed in. One of them, a woman with short, raven hair, looked over at the employee crumpled up against the wall.
"Who let someone with low temperance in here," she hissed, "Why must I have to step in almost every time?"
She allowed herself to calm down for a moment. If she still showed signs of aggression when she faced the Dreaming Current, he would surely begin to start spewing rainbow goo everywhere.
"Jonathan, give me the picture book and the candy."
'Jonathan,' a more lanky, blond man, obliged and gave the ringleader her supplies. At the sight of the candy, Current's legs became more shaky, wanting to move.
"Current," the woman spoke softly as she set a couple of purple, square-shaped taffies in her hand, "Look, it's grape. Your favorite."
"...Caaaandyyyy," Current made quivering steps towards the employee, before clumsily sitting down the best it could, "Grraapee..."
"Here, look at the picture while you eat," the employee opened the children's book to a picture of the ocean, "There you go..."

The child didn’t let go right away, but when he did, he nodded.
“Yeah, I am... I missed you too,” he sniffled and wiped away more tears. Galaxy looked over to his sketchbook and went over to pick it up.
“I was thinking we could draw more. Or maybe do something else. O-Oh, I met another friend too...! The adults here are really scared of him, but...”
A loud wail cut the boy off. He jumped and shrunk back, as thrashing against the wall occurred from the next room over.
“Noooo! BAAAAAD!”
“Current, CURRENT, STOP IT,” one of the employee’s yelled, “I’M TRYING TO-!”
BAM.
The sound of a body hitting the wall sounded off, along with a choked cry. Galaxy had his ears covered.
“NO TOOOUCH,” the monstrous voice wailed again.
“Uu... I miss Laetitia...”
The kid hugged his sketchbook close to himself, still pressed up against the corner of his room.
“He’s...not responding to any work as strongly as before,” one of the employees spoke to a coworker, “That’s definitely not normal.”

He was still a bit confused, but the boy slowly nodded.
“Mhm... Mister Meteor, can I ask you something? Do you have a bunch of friends...?”
If they both came from a galaxy, would it mean that Meteor could understand his dilemma? Would it mean that he could finally get help, or at least some advice on how not to be lonely anymore...?
@linclexkingdom Cont.
“..I like candy,” the boy nodded happily, “But..what do I go as...?”
Would wearing something really scary get him more candy? The child really didn’t have any clue what he could dress up as. And he would only do it if Laetitia wanted to do something too.
“Pssst. Hey, hey, Child of Galaxy, over here!” Laetitia waved to get the boy’s attention, though she wasn’t alone, as she was accompanied with an employee who seemed a bit uneasy, but tried to maintain their composure nonetheless. “I’m allowed to see you for a little bit because they’re moving my room, but only for a bit... so, I wanted to ask you if you know what ‘Halloween’ is?”
"Laetitia," the boy exclaimed. He immediately got up from his corner, his heart racing a tiny bit more. At her question, the child stopped for a moment to think, before tilting his head a bit.
"Uh... Kiiinda, I guess? I heard people dress up and get candy for Halloween. I dunno anything else though..."
Meteor circles over the young boy, before slowly landing in front of him. "Hiya~!" the guitarist said. "I'm Meteor! I heard people talk about you, and got curious!" He holds out his hand for a handshake.
Confusion and caution were present on the boy’s face. Who was this and why did they take interest in him? Well, they weren’t an employee... Now that he thought about it, this stranger was floating.
Were they just like him...?
“M-...Meteor...? Like the space rock...?”
The child slowly and shakily reached his hand out. Grown-ups shook hands and he had to try to be a grown-up.
He felt too frustrated to draw and he didn’t feel like sleeping. What else could he possibly do? The kid rolled around on the floor and groaned softly to himself. He sniffled and sat up, trying to wipe tears off of his face yet again.
Maybe... He could see Laetitia again? But after his outburst last time, maybe the employees wouldn’t want him near here again.
“....”
He looked over at his sketchbook and sighed. Maybe he should try to draw, after all.

xabnormalities:
It was an innocent declaration of affection but almost a love confession if interpreted that way, not that Laetitia considered it as such (at the time) and yet, Laetitia genuinely meant it when she said that she liked Child of Galaxy. After all, saying that you liked someone, no matter the context, wasn’t something that you would say lightly.
Still, it remained to be seen if the girl even realized the extent to which how much her words affected him.
“Hm?” Laetitia hummed, though she felt a little nervous when Child of Galaxy hid his face from her, as if he was embarrassed by what she said. Maybe it was a weird question after all… and when she realized that, the girl twiddled her thumbs and gave a bit of an awkward laugh. “Um…! I’m sorry if that was…”
But the moment he let out a wheeze, the girl was a bit startled and gasped, covering her mouth.
“A-Ah! Are you okay?!” She asked, leaning in a bit closer to try to check up on him, though maintaining a comfortable distance so as to not invade his personal space. “Are you… okay? I didn’t make you upset or… angry, did I?”
“…Feelings? Well, that kid gets attached to anyone who shows him the slightest bit of kindness so while I’m not that surprised… it’s still a bit surprising to see these two get along this well, right off the bat.” One of the employees noted, jotting down rapid-fire notes while keeping their eyes fixed upon those two. With a bit of a derisive scoff, they wrote an aside note: “Puppy love.”
He wanted to barf up the butterflies in his stomach. Were there actually butterflies in there?! It sure felt like it! He could hear Laetitia getting worried and he shook his head quickly and try to say that he wasn’t mad.
“N-No, I...!”
The kid couldn’t get the guts to look back up at Laetitia. Instead he shot up.
“I gotta go, I’m sorry,” he managed to fumble out before he took off. He skid to a halt as he reached the door, remembering that he was trapped in this room until the people decided to let them out. But he didn’t want to make Laetitia worry more or make her scared of him! The only thing he could do was opt for trying to squeeze himself into the darkest corner of the room and calm down until he could be let out.
“Is he...trying to hide,” the concerned employee asked quietly.
“Any sign of aggression and we’re gonna have to put ‘em both out for a while,” another growled.
“This is...so strange,” a third employee added in, “I’ve never seen the child act like this before. i thought he loved kind acts towards him...?”

I got told to draw something I love. I love sleep. But sleeping is hard because the ground is hard. I wish I can sleep in a bed. They look comfy. Does Laetita get a bed? I want a bed too.
Why do you want parents so badly?
The child blinked at the question. He kept silent for a moment, trying to put his answer together.
“...I want to be hugged,” he finally answered, “It’s not f-fair... O-Other kids like me get to be h-held and protected! Why can’t I have that...?!”
A cloud of purple dust flew up from the child’s body before it quickly scattered in the air. The boy dropped to his knees and began to cry more, out of frustration.
“We are nothing but Space dust Trying to find Its way back to The stars.”
xabnormalities:
Laetitia couldn’t help but let out a delighted squeal when she saw the Child of Galaxy’s drawing of a chubby cat, since she thought the chubbiness made the cat look even more endearing. Why, if it were a real-life cat, she’d be snuggling it.

“You...You like me and think...O-Oh.”
The kid felt himself hold onto his arm, tighter than he usualy held it. His entire face felt warm. It was one thing for the employees to think that he was cute. But this was...
‘ Do… Do you think I’m cute…?‘
He fumbled over his words a but and hid his face for a moment. What kind of situation was this?! He never felt this weird before, what was going on?!
Laetitia. She was always happy. She twitched a lot, espeically when she seemed to be happy...? And the way that she’d play with her pigtails...
The Child of the Galaxy tried to speak. But a horrid wheeze escaped instead. His face was still hidden as he tried to collect himself. One of the lower employees stood up.
“I-Is he getting sick-?!”
“Calm down, the kid’s just..having..feelings,” a superior employee raised an eyebrow. This was new behavior from the space kid, indeed. Normally, he’d either be crying or keeping to himself. But to actually be engaged in interaction for this long and perhaps even building up what others would call a ‘crush...’ This was interesting, yet it could open the door to future problems.
(It kind of sounds like a laugh at the beginning and end, to me.)
