cTubbo, completely unaware that the weird beautiful awkward guy that follows him around is a vampire, wonders why everyone who disrespects him or has some kind of beef with him mysteriously disappears a few days later.
People trying to prove Ran is evil are so peculiar cause 70% of the time their "proof" is them being a mentally ill teenager/young adult struggling with their mental health and the other 30% is basically just "my source is that i made it the fuck up"
Adding onto this, I hate when people try to make it sound like Beeduo's split happened because one of them was secretly evil and abusive all along. Not only cause it's insensitive and gross to say, but also cause it's so painfully obvious it was an average messy fall out between teenagers. Like. These things happen every Tuesday.

It's really intriguing to me because even during the peak of osmp (both times), i don't feel like the fandom ever focused on the characters or lore much (to be fair origins was a little all over the place lolz), so i'd loooovveeeee to hear about your interpretation of the origins characters! (especially since the stark changes in the smp due to the "seasons" and seed change; i've found it's hard for me to find ways to interpret those changes)
i lovelovelove the mutual agreement within the fandom (or what's left) that o!beeduo fucking hate each other + romantic tension. i love it so much. i think it's absolutely hilarious.
I'm genuinely so obsessed with osmp lore!! Even if it's very inconsistent and messy, it sets some pretty interesting concepts that can be expanded in fan writing 🙂↕️
The only canon things we know about oRanboo's background is that 1. She's a princess 2. She's in exile and 3. She has an older sibling (oAimsey).
I mostly base my characterization of her personality on her canonical personality traits! Which are mostly her being arrogant, manipulative and condescending lmao😭 but she does like knitting tho!!
Season 1 isn't all that eventful for her. But season 2 oRan is MEAN. She starts killing Endermen for fun, starts multiple forest fires, gets actively more aggressive and possessive about her stuff, all while being condescending and straight up rude towards most people on the server.
Season 3 is confusing at first. When oPhil tries to pressure her into becoming a villain and joining him and Sneeg, oRanboo refuses. Which is strange cause one season before she was going around burning down nature, stealing stuff and killing people. It's kinda weird seeing her claim that she wants to have nothing to do with crime and villainy.
In my interpretation, she hates not having control or power in a situation. The way they both kinda tried to manipulate her into joining their cause already bothered her. She's also a big fucking liar, and she clearly lied about just wanting to relax in her cave cause when oAimsey showed up and brought up wanting to rule over the server she IMMEDIATELY suggested manipulating everyone to take advantage of them. Basically she just didn't want to be in a situation where she'd have to be the one working FOR somebody, considering Phil and Sneeg's final goal was to establish Phil as the king of the server (and oPhil's newfound arrogance and entitlement clashed with her already aggressive personality. Just not a duo that would work, honestly)
Now that I'm done with the very brief summary of the lore, i can finally get to the headcanon part🙂↕️

Being a princess, oRanboo has had to deal with a lot. Despite living in luxury, she still suffered under the Royal system and its cruelty.
Her parents were always pretty absent, and they never really protected either her or oAimsey from the system. She used to be a pretty timid child. During her early years she spent most of her time clinging to her older sibling, nannies, or just anyone who gave her a bit of attention since she couldn't get that from her parents. She never really got the attention she craved for, everyone was just so busy. Even oAimsey couldn't be at her side all the time. It made her feel like a burden, or an afterthought.
Because of her timid nature, a lot of people in powerful positions took advantage of her naivety, which ended up getting her in trouble more often than not. Because of this, she spent her early childhood feeling helpless. She constantly felt like everyone and everything was in control of her life, except for her. In a way, it was true. She had no power.
Her parents weren't passive in the abuse either. It rarely got physical, but she was more often than not belittled and attacked for her weakness and softness. She was pressured to meet too high standards that she couldn't even understand at that age.
In response to the abuse she suffered during her early years, she began observing other people's behavior. Especially her father's and other nobles in a high position of power. She figured out pretty early that there's no place for softness in an environment like this. Seeing how violence and cruelty got people to succeed in the system really left a mark on her. She began carefully crafting her personality, slowly building up a shield of confidence and arrogance that gave her the upper hand in some situations. Arrogance alone wasn't enough to gain control. She needed to be smarter than the people around her.
By 13 she was a completely different person. People started to be more intimidated by her presence. Even her parents started approaching her differently. Her father began favouring her and praised her more often, while her mother grew even more distant (her parents don't get along really well themselves).
While her power grew, her mental health began declining. As she grew up, she became more passive aggressive and subtly threatening in public, while being actively more destructive behind closed doors. She was already spoiled as a child, but becoming her father's favorite affected her more than expected. She went from feeling like a nobody to feeling like she was the most important person in the world. She chased this feeling, and making others feel small helped her feel more in control of her life. This constant need for validation kept following her. Even if she viewed others as inferior to her, she still craved their approval, and became hostile the moment she was met with backlash or any criticism that made her feel small again.
I'm gonna stop here (for now. I might add something later) cause I've been writing this since this morning and I'm so tired (yes, it takes me that long to write stuff. I blame adhd 😭)
