"I thought you'd believe me when I said I was at work. Should've realized that you would follow me instead of believing me."
Adrian was in a predicament.
The girl of his dream that he had met a month and a half ago was standing in front of him in a green henley with an apron covered in blood. Your boots squelching in it as you approached him.
A month and a half ago Adrian had met the girl of his dreams.
It was another boring night at Fennel Fields. The only thing bringing him joy was the idea of patrolling around Evergreen later.
That was until, and he swears up and down, the most beautiful girl he had ever seen walked in. She only requested a table for one. That immediately raised red flags to Adrian.
You were alone and here.
Why?
He kept note of you and made sure to watch you from a distance. Adrian wanted any excuse to talk to you and he saw it the second the table next to you left their plates.
Adrian worked up the courage to approach your table. He wanted to start a conversation. The book you had being one of his favorite series.
God could you be anymore perfect?
You looked up as he got closer. Your eyes locking with his. In that moment, Adrian knew he was ruined.
Ruined beyond belief.
Your smile proved him wrong. You could be more perfect.
Adrian smiled back grabbing the dishes and heading towards the back. He set them down pulling his phone out as he walked outside.
"Dude I just met the most hottest girl I think I've ever seen and get this! She smiled at me!!" Adrian gushed into the phone.
"And you called just to tell me that?" Economos scoffed responding back to him.
"Yes! Dude her smile was fucking amazing. It was as pretty as..fuck I can't even think of comparing it to anyone. Shit I need to get her name-"
"Adrian wait- You haven't even talked to her? So you called just to tell me about a pretty girl that you saw? Not even spoke too?" Economos laughed. "Okay I'm hanging up."
"No no dude! You don't get it. I've never felt this way about someone I've just seen-" Adrian began to ramble again feeling his nerves rise.
He wasn't used to these feelings. It was like a ball of anxiety began to form in the pit of his stomach.
"That just means you must've really liked her dude." Adebayo, who had been working near Economos, took the phone to speak to Adrian now.
"But how! I haven't even talked to her."
"Then that's what you do next man! Talk to her! This is great Adrian. Finally you could get a girlfriend." Adebayo cheered supporting him. Economos rolled his eyes at her words.
"No somethings not right about her. One smile shouldn't do this shit to me." Adrian scoffed. "I'm gonna follow her."
"Wait what?" Adebayo spoke, "Adrian don't do that-" She quickly tried to stop him.
Adrian hung up determined. There had to be more to you than he thought. So he saved your receipt and watched your car leave remembering your licenses plate.
It didn't take him long to find you and the red flag that stood out was that you're a cop.
Well not a cop, but you work forensics as a blood splatter analyst.
What kind of job even is that? He'd make sure to ask you about it if he ever got the chance.
God he wanted to talk to you about so much already. He cringed trying not to remind himself not to sound obsessed.
He did just meet you..
Adrian planned to just see where you lived and not to bother you after that. That was until you showed up again the next Friday. He followed you home again that night still not approaching your house, but he did move closer to it.
He stood outside of it.
You just had to smile at him again. He noticed the change of the book you brought too. He couldn't help but notice everything about you.
Soon you started making an occasional Wednesday night drop in. It felt like you were trying to keep him aware of you. He knew it sounded insane, but his gut feelings were usually never wrong.
Adrian looked forward to seeing you every night following you home.
And every night got closer to your window. He couldn't help it. Your job could put you close to dangerous people though. He'd just make sure to check up on you.
At least twice a week. That seemed reasonable to him.
It was just for your protection.
Finally he got his chance and everything changed, one of the new hires called out and Dave was short staffed for the night. Since it wasn't busy he told Adrian to have it as a waiter for a night to test him.
You came in taking your usual corner booth. Always alone but dressed nicely. You smiled at him as usual and best of all you asked him to sit with you.
All of that led to now.
You were standing in front of him in a black tight apron appreciating your figure blood on your gloves and splattered on the floor. He had heard stories about you.
Bad people going missing. Just like him. He wasn't a bad person but he was a lawbreaker for killing people. He knew that much. The police most of the time assumed it was him.
That was until other bodies that were older popped up. Ones he couldn't have done. They released your killer name.
"You're the Evergreen butcher." He spoke out loud confusion and a slight hint of anger in his tone. "And you didn't think to fucking tell me that."
"I always hated that name." You sighed out walking back to start your clean up process. "You don't have to help but don't stand in the way."
"No no hey!" He approached you keep a distance but still speaking. "I just saw my girlfriend kill a dentist." He spoke.
You turned towards him shrugging. "I mean I can't really talk right now I have to clean all of this and I know we do need to talk trust me I do, but you and I both know how this goes I'm on a time limit."
"Fuck fuck!" Adrian stomped his foot angrily knowing you were right. "I'm only helping you clean up because you're my girlfriend, but I am so mad at you and need to know so much."
"Adrian." You snapped his name out silencing him. He tensed shaking his head.
"Don't say my name right now like that. You have no right! You knew I was Vigilante-" His eye widened under his mask in realization. He grew quiet now and stopped moving to help you clean up.
You stopped him pointing at the plastic instead. You'd handle the body.
You got out first and told Adrian to meet you at your apartment. Part of you was nervous to confront him back at your home. You knew what this meant if he didn't react good.
The idea of killing Adrian though didn't sit with you. Hopefully you could just have a normal break up. One where you both knew about each other and just avoided one another.
The air felt nice tonight. You looked up from your boat looking at the sky. Hopefully Adrian wouldn't want to break up. You did like him. A lot. It still felt weird to say love.
You knew but would deny. At least for now.
You picked up food before heading home. Maybe food would cheer him up. After you killed your appetite would grow.
You walked inside looking around for him instantly. Adrian was dressed in his normal clothing. He took his suit off showing he was unarmed. You made sure to come home unarmed as well.
Adrian stood up from the couch. Both of you just stood staring at each other.
"I brought pizza?" You held up the box. "And cheesy bread with that marina you like."
"You thought pizza would make me happy?" He raised an eyebrow as you set the box down on the coffee table.
"Well yeah. I'm hungry too.." You murmured out looking at him again.
"You're a serial killer." He spoke up.
"I am." You responded back bluntly. There was no use hiding from him now.
"And you didn't tell me because.." He waved his hands wanting you to speak trying to be patient with you.
He was always patient with you. You could see the slight shake in his hands though. The restraint he was holding.
You just didn't know what he was restraining himself from doing.
"I didn't exactly know how to approach it, but you didn't exactly tell me about Vigilante either." You raised an eyebrow. "So why should I-"'
"Because I would've wanted to join you!" Adrian jumped up shouting now.
"What?" You stopped talking looking at him in shock.
"Yes are you fucking kidding me do you know how cool that is that I'm dating a serial killer. Someone who enjoys killing bad people as much as I do-" He gushed out excitedly.
"Okay now wait I kinda follow a code and it's a bit different-"
"Uh not really I kill bad people and you kill bad people." He moved closer now standing at least a foot away from you.
"Adrian-"
"No no look at me. I did think about it already. If you targeted me I'm not mad about that. Baby you couldn't killed me if you tried." He pulled you closer now. His arms around your waist.
Your eyes widened in shock. Adrian's grin widened.
"So you're fine with this-"
"More than fine with us. I have so many questions. Tell me when you kill your victims does that rush of euphoria hit you too? It's like your heart is beating so fast that-"
"That I could hear it in my ears and feel it pulsing through my chest. Especially when they beg.." You trailed cutting him off. Adrian pressed his forehead against yours.
"Oh I knew you were perfect from the moment I saw you.." He whispered leaning to brush his lips against yours.
"I planned on killing you at first.." You admitted to him. "It's why I got close to you.."
"And I just wanted to be close to you." Adrian grabbed your jaw now. You let out a shaky breath. It felt like a relief. To finally be your true self. To have someone understand you.
You reached up eagerly kissing Adrian. Your arms wrapping around his neck. Adrian groaned into your mouth pushing you against the wall.
"I wanted you close to me too.." You admitted to him reaching down to undo his belt. Adrian's hands snuck under your shirt caressing your skin.
"I hate skin contact but fuck I wanna be buried in you." Adrian spoke whining out as he felt your hand wrap around his aching cock. "Oh thank you." He praised you.
"I want you too Adrian. Fuck I want you too. I'll tell you everything." You promised helping him pull your shirt off. He pulled you away from the wall pushing you down on your couch.
"You looked so hot earlier. The way you killed that guy. Fuck I wish I could've seen how you took him down." Adrian began to ramble pulling your pants off. His hands ripping the sides of your underwear after.
"Adrian!" You moaned out feeling his hands spread your legs.
"I tranquilized him-" You tried to speak crying out at the feel of his mouth kissing down your neck. He kissed down your stomach next then your thighs.
Adrian gripped your thigh using his forearm to hold your hips down. "I gotta know your methods and hear your stories-" His fingers spread your lips apart. He leaned in quickly pressing a kiss to your clit.
"So sweet..and you're all mine." He whispered out. "My sweet sweet killer." He groaned pushing his face against you. His lips wrapping around your clit.
"Adrian! Oh!! Oh!! Yes! Feels good..fuck please." You reached down tugging at his hair.
He hummed against you pressing two of his fingers to tease your entrance. A moan leaving him as he pushed his fingers in thrusting them in a steady pace.
Adrian swore he was in heaven. He knew you were perfect. Made just for him. You cried out shaking from his onslaught of pleasure. He kept eye contact pulling his mouth away.
"I need to be inside of you." He spoke. "But I need you to cum first for me. Come on my sweet. Cum for me. Fuck I could feel how soaked you are. You're dripping down my wrist."
He pulled his hand away replacing it with his tongue. "Adrian!" You moaned his name. "Oh honey you're making me feel so good. So good!"
Adrian groaned watching you fall apart. Your release hitting his tongue. He eagerly lapped at you holding you down. Your grip tightened in his hair. Your hips pushing more against his face.
It felt like you couldn't breathe. Adrian was sucking the soul out of your body and you were giving into him.
You grabbed the cushions as he pulled his face away. He stroked his cock settling between your legs. "Need to fuck you. Thank you my sweet. Spread your legs so easily for me." He whispered into your ear aimlessly speaking.
He pushed his tip against you a needy whimper leaving him. You wrapped your legs around his waist. Adrian reached down pressing his tip against your entrance.
"Oh god!!" You screamed out feeling Adrian begin to push his cock inside of you. A choked sob left your lips as he thrusted harshly. His hips snapping against you.
Adrian moaned loudly. He was never afraid to be loud with you. He couldn't help it. You always took him so good.
"It's like this pretty pussy was made for me." He kissed your neck mouthing at it sloppily. "Takes me so good. You always do. It's why I know you're so perfect." He whimpered loudly thrusting harder into you.
You kept moaning his name struggling to speak. Adrian caressed your cheek grunting. "Yeah don't worry. You don't have to say anything. Just take it. Take it my sweet."
You clenched around him growing closer to your end. Adrian kissed your lips. His hands reaching up to press your legs up into a mating press.
"UHH!!" You groaned with him taking the deep thrust and rough pace he set. Adrian moaned whining. He couldn't help himself now.
"Yes yes yes!" He groaned feeling his balls swell up. "Tell me where you want it..inside or-" He whimpered struggling to speak. His pace growing sloppy.
"Inside!!" You eagerly responded back crying out as your slick coated his heavy cock. Adrian moaned out burying his face into your neck feeling you spasm around his cock.
He kept thrusting mindlessly speaking with whines and whimpers slipping from him. "Adrian." You moaned his name. "Come on finish. Finish inside of me." You encouraged him. "Made me feel so good. Did such a good job."
Adrian came with a yell spilling inside of you. "OH FUCK!!!" His seed spilled out around his cock leaving a ring at his base of yours and his juices mixed.
Your arms wrapped around him holding him close. He panted struggling to catch his breath. You looked at him wincing as he pulled out. Adrian leaned in caressing your cheek pressing his lips to yours.
"I'm not letting you go.." He whispered ending any doubts you may have still had.
So much for thinking he'd break up with you. This was much better though.
You didn't think after this you could let Adrian go either.
Synopsis: Adrian Chase is supposed to be your next victim. The only job now is to get close to him.
Masterlist
So writers block is a bitch but enjoy this! I got inspiration from dexter! And thinking about making this into a series?? Like my black widow one.
Warnings: mentions of death, murder, descriptions of blood, mentions of sex, heavy kissing, stalking, mentions of drug use, reader tries to drug Adrian
You knew about him before he even met you.
They were all the same to you.
The people you killed that is, and Adrian was supposed to be the same. You were following your code. Only the bad people. The monsters like yourself.
He was a the crazed maniac your department squad had been hunting. It was easy to find him.
The Vigilante..
Most of the time before you killed, you'd try to interact with your victim. Psych them up, make them think you were harmless. It was kind of a game to you.
The plan was to meet Adrian Chase see who he truly is and decide if you'd make your kill. You knew of his crimes. The people he killed.
You had a reason for killing though. A natural born killer is what you're adopted father described you as. It had scared him at first seeing how blood thirsty you could be.
You had a reason for killing.
So what was Adrian Chase's?..
Fennel Fields. Nine P.M. Friday Night.
The restaurant wasn't as lively as thought it'd be. He was the bus boy. You'd been following his shifts and trying to come every other week on a Friday night.
He'd always stop by your table. Never saying a word and just grabbing your dishes and leaving. You would always make sure though to give him a smile.
Tonight was different though. It seemed one of the servers called out so they let him take orders.
"Welcome to Fennel Fields. I'm Adrian and I'll be your waiter for tonight." He grinned at you putting on his best customer service voice.
You gave him a smile. Now was your best time to assess him.
"Hi. I'll have a diet coke please and-"
"A chicken salad with the extra cheesy bread and Alfredo sauce to dip it in?" Adrian finished for you not even needing to write it down.
Had you been that noticeable?
"Oh..I didn't realize that you'd know my order?" You raised an eyebrow crossing your hands in front of you.
Adrian scoffed nervously laughing. "I just noticed you come every other Friday and order the same thing. Sometimes you'll come in on a Wednesday!" He set his arms to the side. One of them reaching up to adjust his glasses.
You didn't think you were noticeable. He even caught on to your occasional Wednesday drop in. You had tried to change it up.
"I guess I'm one of the regulars then huh?" You smiled knowing how to mask yourself. You led a double life. The real you always having to be hidden.
"Yeah totally that's what it is!" He smiled at you going along with it. Did he know who you really were? Is that why he was watching you?
Adrian glanced down at the book on your table. "Oh that's so cool I love that series."
"Thanks I'm on the-"
"Fourth book right? You came in two weeks ago with the third book-" Adrian stopped himself smiling quickly. "I'm just assuming that is cause you have the forth book. Not because I paid that much attention-"
He was rambling now.
Adrian did not know when to shut up. That much was obvious. You let out a laugh to ease his nerves. He relaxed seeing the way you were still being polite.
"I guess you noticed more the the others here huh?" You spoke keeping eye contact.
"I have a good eye." He replied back. "Okay I'll get your order in and bring it back out soon."
"Thank you Adrian. I appreciate it." You winked opening your book. This was interesting to say the least.
Was he hunting you? He was against people who broke the law. You were also a serial killer. Although in this world full of meta humans and crime fighting people, it was easy to blend in.
Adrian admired you from afar. He couldn't help it. You were his type. There was something about you that he couldn't help but feel drawn too. It didn't help that you always smiled at him.
Your smile made his day some nights. It also made his pants tighten in a way he had to go adjust himself in the restroom.
You were a pretty girl.
Adrian brought out your drink first with an a plate of garlic fries. "On the house."
"Thank you, but I can't possibly accept-"
"Oh don't worry about it. I'm buying it!" He grinned at you. "I wanted too."
"Then I can't possibly eat alone. Are you almost off? You could join me?" You offered him wanting him to talk to you. Adrian's eyes widened in excitement.
"I actually am almost off? How did you know?" He questioned you.
"I didn't. You just confirmed it for me though." You teased him leaning in to give him a small smirk. "So did you want to join me?"
"I would. I'll place an order and bring out our foods then clock out." He took off moving quickly to the back. Things were going as planned.
You'd find out what kind of thing Adrian Chase was. He was your next victim.
Adrian brought out your food sitting down after. He had clocked out before grabbing the food wanting to join you as soon as possible.
"Thanks for inviting me to join you. I was actually pretty hungry." He spoke taking a bite of his food. You nodded eating some of the fries.
"Yeah I don't mind company. Especially company like you. You seemed interesting. I'm usually never noticed." You eyed him.
"Well you were the first thing that drew my attention when I first saw you a month ago. You're really pretty." He spoke bluntly. He was stating it as a fact.
That was new. No one had ever openly admitted to be attracted to you. Everything about Adrian was new though.
"Complimenting me? Is that why you paid attention?" You asked placing a hand under your chin leaning towards him.
"I mean-" Adrian looked up laughing, "I don't want to agree, but it would be a lie if I didn't." He admitted.
You continued to eat mostly listening to him ramble. You made sure to respond back. Part of you could see the way he was staring at you.
The other part of you was ignoring it for the sole purpose of him being part of the code. Adrian had no idea of the murderous intent you had hidden behind the smile you wore.
The night went on easily. Adrian wasn’t what you had thought he’d be. He wasn’t necessarily an ideal victim.
You still planned on killing him but held off for now. Maybe it was best to know him first. Find out if he was part of the code you swore too. He wasn’t rude. He was loud and brash for sure.
Not in an arrogant way though.
He walked you to your car after the meal. “This was nice. I’m glad you joined me.” You spoke glancing at him.
Adrian nervously chuckled scratching the back of his head. “Totally. I really liked tonight too.” He smiled at you.
You could see the almost love struck look he had in his eyes. It was apparent to you that he saw you as more.
It’d make it easier to get to know him at the very least.
“Here’s my number.” You gave him a smile handing him a piece of paper. “Call or text me. We should hang again soon.”
Adrian watched you drive away after a dopey grin on his face. He got in his car after. He already knew where you live.
The first night he saw you, he couldn’t help but become almost obsessed. He knew it was wrong and bad. There was just something about you that made him want to get closer.
Maybe it was the way you looked. Sitting next to you tonight, Adrian had to hold himself back from leaning in to inhale your scent.
You also listened to him. You hadn’t mocked him. You simply observed him. He wasn’t used to getting attention. It’s why he couldn’t help but follow you around.
He liked you so much. He just wanted to protect you. He reasoned with himself that this is all it was. His need to protect something he liked.
A month passed by, Adrian and you had grown closer. He was still stalking you unaware of the fact you knew he was.
Part of you felt excitement seeing the way he was enamored with you. It’d make your execution easier. More painful for him too. You liked your victims to suffer.
You had been luring him straight into your trap. The only thing stopping you from killing him now was knowing the types of people he killed.
It’s what made you hesitate. After all what made Adrian so different from you?
He was only killing bad people, except the people he deemed bad. Other than that it was the same people you targeted.
You need to follow through no matter what. Even if he was someone part of you was growing fond of.
Tonight was the night.
You had swore tonight Vigilante would come to an end. Your ritual usually started with you looking at a photo of your victim for at least two hours. Gathering evidence of their crimes.
Being part of the police made it easier to get Adrian’s file. A blood analyst that no one questioned. Your adopted father had trained you to work with cops. He was one himself.
Adrian had been stalking you for weeks now. Hanging out with you when he wasn’t. You planned on inviting him in, drugging him, then setting up your kill area.
Usually you picked an area that your victim found safe. You didn’t want to risk Adrian’s mom coming home to find you murdering her son though.
Your place would do. Considering how often Adrian would come over it’d make it easy.
You hummed a soft tune sharpening your blade in the kitchen. Vigilante watching you through your window. Both of you hunting each other for different reasons.
Well he wasn’t hunting.
He was admiring you.
You grabbed your phone knowing he was right outside hitting his contact. Within thirty seconds he answered.
“Hey Adrian. You busy tonight?” You asked him sweetly making sure to lay on the charm.
“Uh no I’m not at all? Did you wanna hang? I can literally be over in five minutes flat-“ Adrian moved towards his car already getting ready to strip his suit off. You watched him through the camera you had set up on the roof of your home.
“Yeah I did. Come over. We could watch a movie.” You smiled. “I made some cookies.”
“That sounds like a dream.” He sighed out already picturing the perfect night in with you.
You smiled at his words. Hook line and sink. “Perfect. I’ll leave my door unlocked.”
“You shouldn’t do that. That’s very dangerous! Anyone could come in your apartment-“ Adrian began to lecture you.
“You said you’d be five minutes. I assumed that meant you were close.” You smirked adjusting the syringe in your hand.
“I mean yeah. I am close. I was just in the neighborhood driving around you know!” He lied trying to stay composed. “I’ll be there soon!”
A chuckle left your lips the second he hung up. You began to roll up your sleeves knowing the fight against him would be hard. Adrian didn’t seem the type to not put up a fight.
Now you waited in the shadows of your home. The sound of the door knob turning readying you. Adrian walked in. He scoffed closing the door and locking it behind him.
“I told you to keep it locked!” He called out shaking his head. You slowly moved closer. Your gloved hands holding the syringe.
Adrian turned adjusting the bouquet of sunflowers in his arms and a plush of a brown bear. You stopped in your tracks eyeing them.
He brought gifts??…
Your eyes narrowed. This couldn’t be a reason you didn’t go through with your plan. Especially since your room was ready to end him. You spent hours putting the plastic up everywhere.
“Hope you don’t mind I just let myself in! I was thinking we could watch horror movies tonight. I remember you saying they were your favorite.” He called out setting his gifts down. He looked around for you humming.
“Y/N?” He called your name confusion settling on his face.
Why did this suddenly feel hard? You’d been prepping all month and this whole week to go through with it. So why did your chest clench in pain at the idea of ending this man?
A man who was supposed to mean nothing to you. Just another victim of your code.
Your sole purpose for living.
The next thing you knew you were putting the syringe down. Your body relaxing as you let out a sigh. Maybe tonight wasn't the night.
"Adrian.." You smiled at him coming out. Adrian grinned at the sight of you excitedly handing you the flowers.
"I remembered how the first night we had dinner together that you mentioned sunflowers were your favorite." He handed them to you gently.
So gently that you could feel any wants to kill him diminishing by the second.
"No one really remembers much of what I have to say.." You whispered out accepting them.
"Well I will always remember what you have to say. I can't not." He cleared his throat handing you the teddy bear after. "And this is just cause it reminded me of you."
You laughed softly admiring the bear. "I did say if I had to pick a favorite animal that it would be a bear."
"And bears are so cool. In fact did you know-"
"I'm gonna stop you there because half the times your facts on animals are outlandish." You pressed your hand against his chest. The touch feeling electric.
"Okay rude and my facts are always correct!" He argued back laughing along with you. You looked up at him watching the way his breath hitched. This might have been the first night that Adrian had seen a hint of affection in your gaze for him.
It made him want more.
"Sure they are." You sighed setting the stuff down. "Why did you get me this stuff though?"
"Because I can." Adrian spoke back still stuck on the way your eyes glimmered when you laughed. "And because I want you...fuck I want you so bad." He leaned in eagerly pressing his lips against yours for the first time.
Your body tensed wanting to resist him before giving in. Your hands went in his hair feeling the way he was trying to meld himself against you.
A heavy groan left his lips. He was eagerly moving away from your mouth going to your jaw then neck. “Sorry I didn’t asked for permission first..” He murmured. “I usually ask for consent-“
“Adrian I love to hear you talk but right now I’m thinking super hard and just want your mouth on mine.” You spoke tugging him back to your lips in a deep kiss.
You ended up naked and on your couch after watching horror movies with him that night. Adrian couldn't be your next victim. You wouldn't let him be now.
He didn't know just how attached you were getting to him. Anytime you'd see him looking at you it felt electric.
To be doted on. Wanted. To be loved...
Two weeks passed, you moved on from killing Adrian. Instead you chose your next victim. His name was Edgar Paxton. He was a dentist.
He had killed up to three people by now. His choice in victims being women. They'd come in for a simple cleaning then the next thing they knew they'd be drugged and have all their teeth removed.
You'd been watching him for the last week now. Since you hadn't killed Adrian, your body was desperate for a release. To finally let out your dark urges.
Adrian was making it difficult though. He was still following you. You were having to lose him each time you went anywhere.
He was persistent though.
Tonight you planned on executing your plan. You had messaged Adrian letting him know tonight you were working overtime on a case. It was Friday. He should've been working.
You stood in an alleyway waiting.
Edgar's office closing soon. You planned on sneaking in and making your move to attack. Your kit already on you.
You just hoped Adrian wouldn't call or try to text. As much as you loved him and you did. You knew it in your chest and head that you loved him already. You didn't want him to bother you during your.. well personal time.
Edgar's assistant came through the back of the building in the alley where you hid. She adjusted her bag locking the door then leaving. You knew now was your time.
You picked the lock slipping in unaware of the eyes behind a red visor watching you in confusion. He hadn't mentioned to you that he swapped shifts with a coworker heading to yours to surprise you.
Instead he was surprised when he tracked your car two miles from here following you from a cafe to this alley way. Watching you breaking and enter which is against the law.
What business could you possibly have breaking into a dentist office?
Your next victim Doctor Edgar stood in the corner faxing his papers. You carefully approached using the shadows to hide you. A rush of excitement rushing through your body. This was it.
Tonight was the night.
"Hello Doctor.." You smiled making yourself known. Edgar jumped looking around for you. You circled him loving this part. The slight hint of fear in his voice.
"Who the hell are you?" He questioned reaching for his phone.
"Don't bother doc. Your phone lines are off." You whispered out getting closer. Slowly pulling the syringe out.
"Lady trust me when I say you have the wrong guy-" Edgar scoffed rolling his head back. "I live for killing stupid women.." He laughed turning around stopping feeling your needle stab into his neck. His face close to yours.
"I'm not stupid." You grinned knowing he wouldn't be up for another two seconds. His hand reached for your shirt as he fell forward. He gasped coughing before falling.
Just as planned.
He dropped to the ground like a sack. Your horse tranquilizer as you called it being a perfect mix of medicines that it instantly worked.
The set up was always easy. You laid the plastic out hanging the photos of his crimes up. He was tied onto one of his surgical chairs, still knocked out cold.
You hummed setting your blades down on the surgical mat freezing in place hearing the sound of the back door being unlocked.
There was no way it was his assistant. You hid peeking through the door.
"Shit." You cursed softly. Your eyes widening. "Honey..don't do this to me.."
Adrian was here. Well Vigilante was here, but why? You thought you'd been careful enough. He was going to find out. See who you really were.
Would he care? What would he do? Was he that obsessed with you as you saw he was?
You adjusted your apron on you. No use in hiding now. You moved back towards the tied body on the dentist chair.
Adrian would find you this way so no use in not continuing. Edgar awoke blinking his eyes open. He looked around struggling.
"Shh we have a visitor that I don't want seeing you yet." You smiled standing above him. "Doctor Edgar Paxton."
Edgar tried to speak, but you were quick to cover his mouth with a rag. "I said shh." You spoke. "Usually I don't like to rush these things. I like to let my victims try to plead themselves out. Then again most of the people you killed didn't get the chance to beg."
You grunted pushing the rag in his mouth silencing him. His yelling muffled. "You drugged them all to the point where they felt no pain when you tortured their bodies. And I know if you could speak that you would deny everything I'm saying. And frankly I don't want to hear it."
You picked up your blade smiling seeing the fear in Edgar's eyes. "Now again I really hate to rush it, but we have company and I guess I can live with the fact that I know you'll feel all of this."
Adrian opened the door stepping in just in time to see you stabbing Edgar in the chest. You sighed in relief pulling your knife out before doing it again.
"Holy Shit." Adrian spoke out. You looked at him as blood splashed across the floor.
"Hi Adrian." You smiled at him. "This is awkward." You sighed out grabbing your knife out setting it down.
Adrian stood frozen. For the first time in his life he was speechless. You approached him making sure he could see you were unarmed.
"I thought you'd believe me when I said I was at work. Should've realized that you would follow me instead of believing me."
Synopsis: Adrian can't help but be obsessed with everything about you. Even when he doesn't agree with you.

Adrian knew he wasn't most girls first choice for a guy. He was fine with that though. He didn't need a girlfriend especially not when he was crime fighting vigilante.
He had friends now too and a new cool job.
He didn't like being close to people too, but all of that changed when you got hired.
Adrian considered the day he met you as one of the best days of his entire life. The second your eyes had locked onto each other both of you grew a dopey grin.
He swore your smile made his heart stop for a spilt second. Your eyes looked like soft pools he knew he wanted to sink into.
"Sorry.." You raised your hands at him carefully making sure you didn't touch him, but checking if you hurt him.
He already appreciated the way you were checking over him, while also respecting a personal space.
"Oh you're good! Trust me a bump isn't gonna do anything to me!" Adrian quickly replied back before noticing your name tag. "You're new here?"
"Yeah. Emilia just hired me. I'm the new medic." Your voice came out softly. Adrian didn't know it, but you were gushing just as much as he was. He was your type of guy.
Your relationship bloomed from there.
You liked him, like really liked him. Part of him couldn't believe it. You listened to him, laughed at his jokes.
You even make sure to do things just for him. He's never had anyone go out of their way to do anything for him.
"I got you this rock Adrian! It reminded me of you."
"Hey you like the color teal right? I found this small teal duck."
"Adrian here I got you this book about different types of fishes."
You always considered him. The others found it weird, but they could see just how much you adored Adrian. He made you feel giddy.
"He makes me laugh. I think Adrian is one of the coolest people I know." He once heard you say to Harcourt.
Eventually he got the courage to ask you out. That led to now it was your fifth date with him. Adrian usually didn't like human touch, but he loved the feeling of you in his lap right now.
He just loved your touch already in general. He was kinda embarrassed by his desperate need for you. His hands eagerly ran up and down your back as he basked in your affection.
You couldn't stop kissing him. You had both thought you could take it slow, but tonight Adrian had taken you on a late night picnic. Unfortunately it ended early due to a thunderstorm neither of you knew about.
It couldn't be more perfect. The rain led you both to his car which led to you kissing him and now you were on his lap making the car foggy.
"It's a good thing no one else is out here this late at night." Adrian spoke against your lips. He cursed under his breath.
Why were your hands everywhere? Your lips were devouring his neck. He groaned out running his hands up your back.
"Yeah it sure is." You kissed his lips again grinning after. "There's something I've been hiding from you but it might be a deal breaker."
Adrian grabbed your chin raising an eyebrow. "Now that's a mood killer."
"Calm down it's nothing bad, well I don't think it's that bad, but it might start an argument." You murmured out scratching the hair above the nape of his neck. He leaned his head back into your touch.
"Our first fight? I guess that means we're really becoming a couple." He grew a dopey smile looking into your eyes already planning his entire future with you.
Adrian groaned inwardly hearing the laugh you made. He’d do anything to keep making you laugh. He leaned in kissing you again smiling against your lips.
“Okay then I guess I’ll just say it..” You sighed out. “I know they’re one of your favorites so I’m sorry but I hate Dolphins.”
Adrian froze under you at your words pulling back. “But dolphins are so cool!” He immediately shot back. His eyes widened in shock by your words.
“No they are literally the evil mammals in the sea!” You leaned back still sat on his lap in his car. “I hate Dolphins.”
“Woah woah you can’t just hate something you don’t know a lot about-“
“I actually do know stuff about dolphins. It’s why I hate them.” You replied back caressing his cheek. Adrian stared at you baffled.
In his eyes you were literally nothing but perfection, this was a shock to him. How could you not like one of his favorite animals?
“Okay name one bad thing about dolphins! And I’ll give you a cool fact about them in retort!” He grabbed your waist squeezing your hips in his grasp.
"You really wanna talk about that or make out some more?" You leaned brushing your lips against his jaw. Adrian pulled your head back laying a big kiss on your lips.
"After this. This is important to me! Dolphins are literally so cool!" He sighed looking into your eyes. "Why do you hate them?" He asked caressing your cheek.
A small laugh escaped you, "Okay for one they're not even considered animals. They are mammals and that in it self is freaky. Adrian we're mammals that means they could be potentially as smart as us humans-"
"And that's one of the things that make them cool! Oh! They know how to communicate with each other through whistles and clicks." He cut you off talking excitedly.
"They literally are the jock guys of the sea! Dolphins are literally so creepy! I know they're your favorite Adrian, but I can't."
Adrian groaned pressing his head against your shoulder. "I'm gonna change your mind!"
"You're gonna change my mind?" You raised an eyebrow. "How?"
"By telling you cool facts about dolphins everyday!"
"Why not now?" You asked him leaning in. A small gasp escaping your lips feeling his hand slip under your shirt.
"Because now isn't fair. You're gonna distract me with how hot you are and how soft you feel..." His voice trailed off. Adrian groaned burying his head against your neck.
"That's fine with me.." You breathed out feeling his tongue run over your pulse point. "I'm happy to always hear your voice."
"God if you say shit like that, I swear I'm gonna finish in my pants." Adrian whispered out leaning his head back.
"Maybe that's what I want." You smiled at him kissing him again.
Adrian didn't forget this conversation. You realized that two days after your date which ended with him in your bed.
"Did you know Dolphins have up to two hundred and forty teeth?" Adrian leaned over your shoulder while you sat at your desk.
"Makes sense considering that they attack and kill baby dolphins." You turned smiling at him. Adrian gaped at you shaking his head.
"Uh no way they do." He pulled the seat next to you to sit.
"Uh yeah way they do." You grinned replying back. "They're known to attack and kill baby dolphins. It's mostly the males though because they see the new calves as competition. They want the mother to be free to make more babies."
"Okay primal animal instincts-"
"No no. Mammal. They're mammal instincts Adrian."
"Okay okay! I'll give you it this time. That is pretty evil." Adrian nodded. "They're cute though."
You thought it would end from there. Adrian became determined to get you to say something good about dolphins.
No matter the time or situation.
"I don't think I've ever seen anything as beautiful as you." Adrian whispered in your ear. He smiled hearing your soft snore in response. He began to come over to you apartment more often.
Currently you had both opted to take a nap after a long mission, Adrian couldn't sleep though. He was still running on the adrenaline.
"Sweet magnificent beauty..." Adrian whispered again laying a kiss on the crown of your head. "As pretty as a dolphin-"
"Don't say that." Your tired voice cut him off. Adrian laughed rubbing your back with his hand.
"But it's true. Dolphins are super cool. Did you know they have echolocation? They use sound to bounce off stuff to find their targets!" Adrian whispered excitedly against the top of your head looking down at you.
"Yeah makes sense since they like to isolate females to gang up on them. Male dolphins are ruthless for mating." You murmured out moving to straddle his waist.
"Are you serious?" Adrian's eyes widened pulling your head up to push your cheeks together.
"Yes." You laughed out leaning to press a kiss on his nose. "I'm telling you they're evil."
"They gang up too? Now that's so bad. They really are jocks of the sea." Adrian rolled you over so he could be above you. His eyes roaming your face. You had noticed whenever it came to you he had a staring problem.
It was as if he was trying to know every crinkle and mole and dimple you have. He didn't ever want to seem obsessed with you, but he couldn't help it, especially with the way your smile reached your cheeks right now.
"I told you! Evil! Did you even know about the real life story of the women who fell in love with a dolphin?" Your voice came out groggy but the smile wasn't leaving your face.
"Okay now that has to be a lie-" Adrian scoffed stopping his words feeling your hands tangle in his hair.
"And since when have I lied to you?" You whispered out leaning in to kiss his lips.
"Okay fair point." Adrian spoke against your lips eagerly kissing you back. His hand grabbing your jaw to keep you still.
"So she just fell in love with a dolphin?" He pulled away raising his eyebrow.
"Yes she did and even left her life to live with it. It was supposed to be a study at first to communicate with dolphins." You replied hugging him closer.
"Well then the dolphin isn't evil. That lady is." Adrian buried his head in your neck taking a deep inhale of your neck.
"But now do you see why I don't like dolphins?"
Adrian hummed contemplating your question. His hands sliding up your loose pajama shirt. A soft sigh left your lips feeling his fingers graze against your chest.
"I do. I guess I can stop trying to convince you." Adrian leaned in kissing your neck. A smug smile rising on his face. "Or I can find other ways to convince you."
"This feels good, but it won't work." He slid one of his hands down playing with the hem of your shorts.
"You sure about that?" Adrian began to kiss his way down to your shoulder biting down.
"One hundred percent." A soft gasp leaving your lips. His hand had pushed against your underwear. "Now I have a question what happens if you can't convince me?"
"I'm gonna try. Trust me I don't think I'm ever letting you go. No matter if you like dolphins or not." Adrian pulled back tugging his shirt off. "And since I'm not letting you go..I'll have plenty more times for trying...."
Adrian couldn't keep his hands off of you. He was trying to consume as much of you as he could. He pulled your shirt off now licking at your neck after.
Part of Adrian still couldn't believe that someone like you was with him. You kept grabbing at him trying to get him as close as possible. He groaned out loudly feeling your legs wrap around his waist.
You were so perfect..
"Adrian.." You moaned his name out tangling your hand in his hair. "Oh fuck- come on honey talk to me.."
Yeah Adrian knew for sure that even if he didn't deserve someone like you, you still picked him and there was no way he was letting you leave.
First I wanna say I love all ur adrain fics their freaking amazing ⁉️

"Dude I usually hate plain clothes missions, but I think this might be the best day of my life." Adrian spoke a wide grin on his face.
Adebayo, Harcourt, Chris and John stood in awe watching Adrian and you.
You were smiling just as wide right back at Adrian.
"I've never been to a Carnival before there is so much I'd want to do!" You admitted seeing Adrian's eyes widen in disbelief.
"Oh for sure we have to spend some time looking around-" He began suddenly getting caught off.
"No. No. No." Harcourt interjected finally gaining both of your attentions. "This is a serious mission guys we can't spend our time looking around."
"Not even for a bit?" Adrian whined his shoulders sagging. He groaned giving Harcourt a pleading look.
"I mean I think it would be a bit of fun." Chris shrugged looking around himself.
"Again we're on a mission. The plan is to find a butterfly that is suspected to be hiding out somewhere here." Harcourt spoke up again. "The only reason we're in plain clothes is because of the innocents which we are not."
"Got it." You spoke up now. "Sorry just got a bit excited. I'll try to stay on track."
Harcourt nodded knowing it was time to move on from the argument. "We're splitting into twos. Better that all of us look. John you're with me. Adebayo you're with Chris and Y/N and Adrian are together."
"Dude hell yeah we're teamed!" Adrian turned to high five you. You grabbed his hand putting it down seeing Harcourt's glare.
"Don't make me regret this decision." She spoke up. "Stay on track." She reminded nodding for everyone to spilt up.
You all nodded going your own ways. Adrian eagerly looked around. "So you've never been to any fair before? Or carnival?" He asked wanting to know if you were being serious before.
"Yeah parents always said it was too much money and we had better things to do." You shrugged.
Adrian scoffed, "That's lame. We didn't always have the most money either but my mom always tried to bring us here at least once a year."
"Yeah well my dad couldn't quit the lotto tickets." You huffed a small laugh.
"It's a shame this is a mission. I'd love to look around with you." He looked at you pushing his glasses up to adjust them.
Gosh he was so beautiful..
The scrunch in his nose, the curls in his hair moving slightly from the breeze. You had it bad for him. From the moment you had met him, you'd been enamored by him.
It was the reason Emilia had partnered you two up. You were the one who usually was able to keep him on track.
"Adrian don't forget what we're here to do." You spoke up giving him a small nudge with your elbow. "I know it sounds fun, but we can't afford to be distracted."
"Walking around is totally gonna make us look suspicious though." He brought up a point side eyeing you. "We need to blend in and what better way to blend in than to play some of the games?"
Adrian waved his arms gesturing to the stands holding small games. He grinned pointing at a huge spider plush.
"Oh c'mon you can't tell me you don't want to try to win that!" He looked at you, hoping this would be enough to convince you.
"Well we do have to blend in." You hummed thinking for a moment. "I don't think one game can hurt."
Adrian grinned widely, "Fuck yeah! C'mon!" He grabbed your hand eagerly pulling you along to one of the booths. A laugh escaped you seeing his excitement.
You had it bad for him.
Everyone knew by this point, except for Adrian, just how willingly you'd go along with him.
You both watched another couple play the game Adrian had dragged you too. It was a shooting game. The most stuff dropped gave you a chance for bigger prizes.
"Look!" You pointed seeing a clown duck plush. "It's so cute!" You squealed jumping a bit in excitement.
Adrian admired you feeling his chest tighten seeing the happiness on your face. It was there he decided no matter what you weren't walking away from that booth without that clown duck.
He eyed the shelves the small figures you had to shoot watching the person before him have their turn.
They managed to hit two of them but they didn't budge. Adrian shot people every other day as Vigilante. He had a keen eye.
The figures were glued to the shelves.
"Next!" The man running the concession stand called out. You grabbed Adrian's arm to stop him.
"It's a scam. We shouldn't waste our money-" You whispered out noticing the way the figures stood in place after they were shot.
"I got it." Adrian smiled at you cutting you off. "Trust me. I noticed too." He whispered back taking the fake pistol.
"Alright you get three tries. Knock at least two of them off and you get a medium sized plush. Knock all three and you get a big one." The man smirked underestimating Adrian.
Adrian raised the pistol aiming. He took the first shot hitting the figure. You sighed seeing it not move.
"Adrian we should probably go-" You tried to stop him again only to watch in awe as he quickly adjusted the pistol hitting the bottom of the shelf causing the whole thing to drop.
"There now you said with three I get the big prize right? I knocked the whole thing down." Adrian placed the gun down. He smiled seeing the man who ran the booth gobsmacked.
"Which one did you want?" He asked Adrian quickly wanting you both gone.
"The clown duck and that spider plush please." Adrian grabbed your hand tugging you closer. He got the clown duck handing it to you. "Here you go pretty girl."
You smiled widely accepting the duck. "Adrian...thank you!!" You cheered jumping up. You hugged him quickly laughing before squeezing the plush in your arms.
Adrian looked at you almost lovestruck seeing the excitement on your face again. Nothing made him more happy than seeing you happy.
Adrian knew he loved you.
He's known for a while, but what he also knew is that relationships didn't come easy to him. Any moment he spent with you all he could feel was the yearning in his body to be closer.
Right now seeing the happiness on your face made him want to kiss you, but instead he opened his mouth speaking again.
"I know ducks are your favorite animal and I've been studying up on all kinds of birds and animals. Ask me anything about ducks-" He began to ramble wanting to distract himself from what he wanted.
A giggle escaped you. Your face flushed from the excitement of watching him. "I don't have any questions about ducks, but if I do I'll be sure to ask you."
You grabbed his hand pulling him along. "We should get moving."
"Oh yeah totally!" He agreed looking at the way your hand held his. He had so casually pulled you along earlier, but now that it was you. He felt like he was short circuiting.
"Wanna go on a ride next?" He asked you.
"I'm not the best with roller coasters and we're still on a mission." You reminded him gently. "This was fun though." You held up your duck.
"Hey I got what I wanted too." He held up his spider plush. "Wanna know facts about spiders?"
"I'm good on that one too." You assured him stopping noticing a carousel. "I've never been on a carousel before.."
"Then we totally are doing that next." Adrian smiled now pulling you ahead now.
"Adrian we can't get distracted-"
"It's one ride. Can't hurt us. Plus the carousel goes in a circle! Gives us better optics!" He argued back getting you both in line.
A small scoff escaped you, "Okay one ride and that's it!" You gave him a small warning. In honesty though, you were just as excited as he was to get on the carousel.
Adrian grabbed your waist helping you onto the carousel. "It's big enough for both of us." He smiled settling behind you.
You looked down growing flustered feeling his hands gently settle on your waist. "I feel like I'll fall." You whispered out, your breath hitching feeling him lean in to rest his head on your shoulder.
"I would never let that happen. When have you been hurt while I was around?" He questioned.
"Never." You responded back quickly.
Adrian smiled at your quick reply hugging you from behind. "That's my point. Just relax and have fun." His grip on you tightened once the ride started.
You grinned widely going in circles with him. The lights shining down on both of you. "This is pretty slow."
"Most carousels are, they're mostly meant for enjoying the view." He pointed around. His eyes stayed on you while you looked at the bright colors around the carnival.
"It's beautiful." You spoke lowly so only he could hear.
"It sure is.." He spoke back his eyes still on you. "You know most of the people who prefer carousels over roller coasters choose it because they're scared of heights."
"I am scared of heights." You looked at him. "The colors of a carousel are what pull me in."
"I figured considering how your eyes widen whenever we're in the christmas aisle at the store." He gently traced his hand up your waist.
"You noticed that about me?"
"I notice everything I could about you dude. And not in a weird stalkerish way. I mean the way I said that sounded like a stalker, but I just pay extra attention to you. I'm not good with most social cues. I barely learned sarcasm-" Adrian rambled on.
"You're rambling again." You cut Adrian off smiling. "Not that I mind or anything. I like hearing you speak."
Adrian opened his mouth to speak again stopping hearing your phone buzz. You pulled it out seeing a text from Harcourt.
"Chris and her found the butterfly and tomorrow we meet up to go over the mission."
"Wait does that mean we're technically free for the rest of the night?" Adrian asked you feeling the carousel stop. You both got off.
"Technically yes." You grinned seeing him grow excited. He jumped up cheering before settling down.
"Then officially we're gonna play more games." He smiled grabbing your hand now. "That is if you want? I totally get if you want to go home instead?"
"I mean it is my first time in a carnival and I can't think of a better person to go around with but you.." You looked at him a small hint of affection in your gaze.
Adrian and you spent the rest of the night playing games. He managed to convince you to get on at least one roller coaster holding you through it the whole way.
The last stop was the ferris wheel.
"I don't know about this. That last ride made me woozy. I hate heights." You raised your eyebrow looking at Adrian.
"Oh come on! It's a ferris wheel! No carnival trip is fully complete without getting on a ferris wheel at least once." He looked at you. "I'll be with you the whole time."
His reassurance and the way he looked at you was all you needed to fully convince you.
"Okay fine. I will get on this ferris wheel with you if...we could go get some food after this and you have to buy?" You smiled.
"Bargaining huh? I can get behind that deal." Adrian smiled.
You both got on the ferris wheel sharing a seat. Adrian glanced at you feeling your head gently rest against his shoulder. He sighed wrapping his arm around you to bring you closer.
He hoped this came off smooth enough. God he didn't want to mess this up.
"We're really high up.." You whispered out a bit nervous looking down.
"I know it's nice huh?" Adrian glanced hearing the nervousness in your voice wanting to calm you down. "I know it seems scary, but there's nothing to be afraid of."
"I know. I'm not really ever fully scared whenever you're around." You looked at him knowing you were safe.
He always made you feel safe.
Adrian froze at your words. He coughed a bit trying to hide the way his heart skipped a beat. "That's good you should never feel scared around me. I promised to protect you with everything I had-"
"When did you promise that?" You cut off his sentence. Adrian looked into your eyes chuckling a bit. His skin suddenly felt hot as you pressed him a bit.
"The moment I met you." He admitted. "I don't know you were nice to me and you let me ramble on to you about-"
"Penguins because they were your favorite animal at the time. I remember because you gave me a pebble and talked about how penguins give pebbles to people they like."
Adrian nodded at your words glancing down at your lips now.
All he wanted now was to kiss you. More than anything..
"So from the moment we met you knew you wanted to protect me? Is that all you promised yourself?" You teased.
"God..I mean I also promised one more thing. I just don't know if I can say it or not. Might ruin things between us." He whispered.
"Well you can't say that and expect me to not want to know." You whispered back.
He groaned pressing his forehead against yours. "Do I have too? Cause if I do and it does ruin stuff between us. I don't know what I would do. I've gotten to a point where I think I need you to feel alright.."
"I need you too Adrian." You whispered. "I promise whatever you're thinking is okay. Since when have I ever belittled your feelings?"
"Never and that's why I need you." Adrian leaned in more. His nose brushing against your own.
"Then just say it Adrian." You reached up caressing his cheek.
The ferris wheel stopped at the top giving you both a good view over the carnival. The clown duck plush and his spider plush sat on the side of Adrian. Both together like the two of you.
"I love you Y/N..god it feels so weird to say that out loud but it's true. You're beautiful. You like the same things I do. You don't find me annoying. You look at me the way I look at you and that to me is crazy because have you seen the way I truly look at you!" He rambled on and on.
He could never get tired of talking about how much he loves you.
"I haven't fully noticed the way you look at me because I'm always staring at you."
Adrian stopped his ramble hearing you. He leaned his head more into the hand on his cheek. "You are?" He whispered out glancing at your perfect lips again.
"I am and I can fully say I love you too Adrian. I've had it bad for you for so long. Like right now all I want is to-"
"Kiss me? Cause I one hundred percent want to kiss you if you'll let me." Adrian leaned in feeling your breath fan against his face.
"I do want to kiss you. And I would love if you did." You told him softly.
Adrian didn't waste a moment more leaning in. He pushed his lips against yours quickly. It was rushed and messy, but it felt perfect.
He couldn't stop himself if he wanted. His lips moved eagerly. You smiled once you pulled away laughing feeling him kiss your cheeks then head and nose. Showering you in his affection.
"I will do anything you want of me. I swear to you." He roughly spoke after you both pulled away.
"I still want a meal after this?" You raised an eyebrow.
"Consider it done." Adrian leaned in kissing you again feeling the ferris wheel begin to bring you both down.

It was 11 P.M. on a Saturday night.
Usually weekends were fun, but tonight all Adrian had wanted was to eat ice cream in front of the tv and not think about this last week.
That was the plan until Peacemaker asked him to go to the bar. He wasn't one to deny his best friend.
That why now he was here. Downing drink after drink. He really didn't want to think about this last week.
"Dude this is so fun!" Chris laughed slurring his words. The stench of alcohol heavy as he leaned against the bar.
"I know! I'm gonna order another round." Adrian grinned taking another shot.
"Vig you're going hard tonight!" Chris laughed taking his shot next.
"I know! No bad time to rock motherfucker!" Adrian laughed waving the bartender down.
"This week was ass! Let's party it up tonight!" He shouted handing Chris a new beer.
"Woah my week was actually pretty great?-"
"Nope it was ass!" Adrian cut him off drinking his beer cheering.
Chris raised an eyebrow, "What made this week so bad for you?" He chuckled drunkenly.
Adrian sighed shaking his head a bit. "Nothing for anyone to worry about."
"I didn't say I was worried. I just was asking cause I was curious." Chris explained. He could see how Adrian tensed up when he asked. Both of them drunk, but their senses were still strong enough to talk.
"Oh shit fuck me I guess for thinking you'd care." Adrian snorted taking another swig. "If you really wanna know it's about Y/N.."
Chris groaned running his hand through his hair. "God you never shut up about her-"
"I know! I know!" Adrian sighed taking his glasses off. He was feeling more and more disoriented the more he drank. "You don't have to worry though. I won't be talking about her anymore."
That made Chris grow slightly alarmed. Everyone in the team knew about Adrian's mega infatuation with you. He talked about you whenever you weren't around.
Everyone knew except for you.
Adrian used to say that you were one of the only ones to ever understand him. He loved you since the moment he saw you.
"And why won't you be talking about her anymore?" Chris questioned him still confused on why he didn't want to talk about you anymore.
"Because earlier this week she had a date." Adrian downed his beer fully now wanting to drown away this pain in his chest.
"No way she did?"
"Yup she did and apparently this guy is tall and handsome and not a stupid fucking nerd like me." Adrian bitterly laughed waving the bartender down once more for another drink.
"Woah dude that goes hard..did she tell you that?"
"No she didn't have too. I saw him with her." Adrian ordered three more shots. "No bad time to rock and I don't wanna think about this." He smiled.
"Alright I can get behind drinking to hide heartbreak." Chris took another shot.
The night continued on. They downed shot after shot, soon becoming drunk.
Adrian always made a point to never drink to the point where he couldn't drive. Driving drunk was against the law. He knew he wouldn't be able to drive in the current state he was in.
Chris had left with a girl for the night. Adrian couldn't get mad at him. He should've realized that he would need a ride home.
The only person he could think of was you. He missed you. Ever since he had seen you on that date, he hadn't been able to look at you.
You were everything he wanted.
"Fuck I'm gonna ruin this." Adrian murmured stumbling. He pulled his phone out. The alcohol making him dizzy. He wanted you. He needed you.
Without a second thought, he pressed your name on his phone anxiously waiting and hoping you'd answer.
"Hello?"
His breath hitched hearing your voice. A drunk grin raising on his face. "Hey beautiful.." He murmured softly into the phone.
"Adrian?" You yawned sitting up in bed. "Are you okay?"
It was now 1 A.M. on a Saturday night.
"Me? Yeah I'm fine! I'm like totally great right now. Especially since I'm talking to you." He hiccuped.
"Are you drunk?" A small laugh escaped from your lips. "I've barely heard from you all week and you call me now?"
"Yes. Yes..I called you now." Adrian spoke already imagining your tired smile. He always said he loved all of your smiles. From the excited ones to the soft ones.
"You think you could come get me please?" He asked softly. "I hate to bother, but I can't drive home." He slurred out.
"I got you Adrian. Send me your location yeah?" You got up getting dressed.
"Thank you! I'm sorry to bother you." He groaned leaning against the wall outside the bar. "I missed you."
"You missed me? You shouldn't have avoided me then." You hummed walking out.
"Oh no! I wasn't annoying you!" Adrian quickly tried to explain.
"You mean avoiding?" You chuckled.
"Yeah that! I totally didn't do that. I could never do that to you. You're..you're the only person I ever really wanna see." He drunkenly spoke.
You froze feeling a small warmth bloom in your chest at his words. "Okay...I'll be there soon."
Adrian cheered after you hung up. You were coming for him. Ten minutes passed, soon your car pulled up.
"Fuck yeah!" Adrian grinned running to the car.
"Be careful!" You called out seeing him stumble. "Adrian how drunk are you?"
"Super drunk!" He slurred sitting in the car. "I'm so happy to see you though. Pretty girl coming to get me. How lucky did I get?"
"Okay okay buckle up."
"I am! I just got distracted by you." Adrian pushed his glasses up his nose.
"Adrian please put your seatbelt on. I gotta take you home."
"Nooo!" Adrian slurred his words. The smell of vodka heavy as he leaned close to you. "I don't wanna go home. You're not there."
"Adrian-"
"Don't Adrian me..please don't take me home. I don't wanna be away from you.." He grabbed your hand pleading with you. The look on his face screaming for you to take him home.
"Fine you could sleep this off at my place. Now please put your seatbelt on." You sighed leaning in to help him.
Adrian hummed at your close proximity. "You smell good like..I don't know actually I just know you smell good."
"I probably smell bad. I just woke up and I sweated in my bed." You laughed.
Adrian shook his head running his hand across your arm softly. "Bad? How could you say you smell bad when all I want is to do right now is inhale more of you."
"Inhale?" You laughed softly. He nodded at your words. A drunk smile on his face.
"Yes inhale...you're so sweet to me." He murmured. Your heart racing at his words. You shook your head.
He was just drunk. He didn't mean any of this.
You reminded yourself. Adrian was always nice to you. Right now he was just drunk.
You started the car driving away. "Adrian you always make sure not to drink this hard when you come out to the bar. What made you drink so much tonight?"
You glanced at him waiting for his response. Things felt a bit tense and you just wanted to see what was going on with him.
"Shitty week." He slurred out. "I saw something earlier this week and it made me upset."
That was news.
"Woah woah you rarely like to show your upset. Mister I have no emotions."
Adrian laughed at your words nodding. "Yeah well this made me really upset and kinda mad. I couldn't be mad though cause it was my fault!" He drunkenly rambled now.
"You wanna talk about it?" You looked at him worriedly. "You know I'm here for you Adrian. There hasn't been a time I wasn't."
"I know that but..." He sighed looking out the window. "It's complicated." He hiccuped slumping into the seat.
"Is this why you were avoiding me?"
"Maybe." He whispered. "It's so stupid when I think about it."
"Well talk to me. I know you're drunk but we're friends."
"Are we?" Adrian scoffed. He was bitter. Not that he would admit it, but what did that guy have that he didn't.
"Hey." You snapped at him. "I don't appreciate your tone especially since you asked me to come get you-"
"I'm sorry." Adrian cut you off. He groaned rubbing at his face. "My head hurts."
"That's all the vodka you drank." You gripped the steering tightly. Adrian winced noting the slight anger in your voice.
"I'm sorry I said that..we are friends. You're actually someone who I adore." He whispered softly.
"What?"
"You heard me..I adore you Y/N. You're sweet and nice and make me feely all gooey." He murmured looking at you. He hiccuped grinning when he noticed the small embarrassed look on your face.
"You're drunk."
"And I still am in love with you."
"HUH?!" You pulled over looking at him. Adrian chuckled nodding.
"Oh yeah. I'm totally head over heels for you." He leaned in pouting as you pressed your hand against his forehead.
"Adrian you're confusing me. First you ramble about being upset then you say how you love me...I know you're drunk so I'll let it slide, but please be quiet-"
"I was upset because I saw you on your date." He cut you off. "I saw you with your new guy. I don't know if he's your boyfriend or not but that's why I was mad. I lost my chance with you."
"Boyfriend? Date? Adrian I didn't have a date this week?"
"Don't lie to me! I know. I saw him making you laugh and hugging you. Practically doing everything I want to do with you and Y/N he doesn't deserve you. You deserve so much more than him-"
"Adrian!" You snapped now grabbing his hands. "Stop and listen. I didn't have a date this week. I hung out with my cousin."
You grinned seeing the shocked look on Adrian's face. "Is that why you avoided me?"
"Yeah that's why." He admitted sheepishly. He felt his face grow warm. If he could have the ground swallow him whole right now he would.
He was drunk and now you knew how he felt about you.
You grinned feeling a bit giddy to be catching him half guard now. Usually it was Adrian who surprised you. You had felt the same about him for a bit and had a suspicion he felt the same about you, but believed it couldn't be true.
Never mind I guess he did surprise you in his own way.
You were just waiting for him to want you too.
"You love me and you were jealous of a guy you don't have to worry about Adrian.." You whispered out. "You know you could've asked me too and I'd tell you. By this point, I tell you everything. You're one of the only people to actually care about what I say and show that you care about what I say."
"It's cause I could listen to the sound of your voice for hours and never not want more. You could keep up with how much I talk." He spoke up looking at you.
"Let's get you back to my place and you could sober up." You turned back to start the car.
Adrian kept looking at you. You still hadn't said anything about his confession. Judging on the giddy smile on your face though, Adrian knew he didn't have to worry.
He just knew you that well. After all he did say he loved you.
Yearned for you...
Needed you..
Maybe the alcohol was effecting him more, but all he wanted now was for you to-"Kiss me." Adrian spoke up watching you drive. You glanced at him seeing the serious expression on his face.
"No you're drunk." You turned back to the road a gentle smile settling on your face hearing a snort come from Adrian.
"Pfft. It's just a kiss." He slurred out proving your point.
"Adrian." You spoke his name sternly. You weren't really mad just wanted to mess with him.
"Fine watch when I'm sober and I remember this I'll kiss you!" He snapped out determined to get what he'd been waiting for.
"If you remember this, you're really drunk." A sound between a laugh and scoff left you. "If you really do remember this then I'll let you." You promised.
"Oh now I really do have to remember this and watch me I will."
"Then I'll say it back..I love you too." You pulled into your driveway turning to look at him. "If you remember this make sure you remember that too."
"We're saying remember a lot." He grinned. "And I will. I love you too." He grinned feeling the best he's felt all night.
You helped him out of the car leading him to your door. Adrian slumped against you. He pulled his arm around you breathing in your scent. The one he said he liked so much.
It was just so you...
You helped on the couch with a grunt escaping your lips sighing before you checked him over. Adrian looked at you tired, but also happy.
"Get some sleep and we'll talk in the morning." You brushed your hand against his hair covering him.
He nodded waiting till he saw you safely in your room before closing his eyes.
You groaned the next morning feeling the sunlight hit your eyes. The time read 9:00 A.M.
The sound of pans clanking ringing out from the kitchen fully woke you up. You went to the restroom brushing your teeth before heading to see the noise.
Adrian was turned toward the stove flipping a pancake.
"Adrian?" You smiled when he turned to you.
"Hey!" He grinned setting down the plates turning back to turn the stove off. "Hope you don't mind saw you had pancake mix and I owed you for the ride so." He shrugged.
"You didn't have to but thanks I haven't had pancakes in a while." You sat staring at him waiting for him to mention last night.
"Adrian did you sleep okay?" You questioned him eating your pancakes. He smiled looking at you raising his eyebrows.
"Oh yeah I slept great. Thanks for bringing me here and letting me sleep here too." He spoke pouring syrup on his pancakes before handing it off to you.
"Thanks." You hummed pouring more syrup. "You got pretty drunk last night-"
"Ugh yeah thankfully I'm not too hung over." He took a bite stuffing his mouth full. You squinted at him glaring at him.
He really didn't remember.
Part of you felt a bit of hurt, but should've expected. He had a lot to drink. You decided to let it go. Maybe eventually Adrian would want you the way you wanted him-
Almost as if he could read your mind, he reached over pulling your head into his hands. He caressed your cheek before leaning in kissing you with everything he had.
"I remember. Just wanted you to eat first." He whispered before kissing you again.

This is a new series I'm working on kinda like my black widow and witch series. A series of oneshots that tie in but can be read alone!
If you wanna send in request for this series you can!!
No one mentions how hard it is to look in the mirror.
The eerie feeling of disgust that sometimes washes over you. Most people don't know how to put it in words. It's hard for you to put it in words.
All you know is that whatever happened.
Happened.
The memories don't ever really leave. Doesn't matter how much therapy you go through. It always lingers
"So how is my favorite patient feeling today?" Your doctor spoke as he sat across from you.
"Okay or whatever." A mumble came out. You didn't think talking was that essential. Your doctor sighed once more.
"See this is why I don't think I should clear you for the field. Waller put in a request I send you out for a task force, but I don't think you're ready. It's been months and you won't talk." He sighed.
"Waller wants me back that's not shocking." A bitter scoff left you.
"She does, but I don't think you're ready. When Rick Flag found you he said your injuries were-"
"RIck Flag is dead what does that matter-"
"What I'm saying is what you went through wasn't easy. You were made as a weapon against your will and other things happened against your will-"
"If I say I'll join Wallers task force can I go?" You cut him off.
"I want you to get better." Your doctor spoke up. "And you won't let me help you. You won't take any of the advice I've given you nor have you attempted to open up-"
"Because it's waste of time! Why do I need to talk about it? Rick Flag was the only person I ever told about it and he died. I just want to fucking move on already and being here doesn't help!" You slammed your hand down panting angrily.
No one ever talks about the rage you feel eventually after.
"So please just sign me off for the field and let me move on." You cleared your throat covering your face with your hands.
"Considering how this is the most you've spoken in months since you became my patient, I'll sign you for the field, but we continue these sessions. Maybe a distraction is what you need." He spoke
"Thanks." You murmured standing up to walk out.
The next day, you got ready before driving to the location they sent you.
It was a record shop?
Walking in, you ignored the musky scent in the air looking around. A pair of green eyes locked onto yours.
"Who the fuck is this?" The eyes you locked in with shouted standing up pulling out a gun. You raised an eyebrow scoffing.
"Is that supposed to scare me?" You spoke as he glared at you.
"Woah woah!" Another voice shouted. "Vigilante she's the new recruit!" A voice yelled out.
"Harcourt?" She turned seeing you giving you a nod.
"Yup it's me. Waller sent John and me here as punishment for Project Starfish." Emilia sighed pinching the bridge of her nose. "Good to see you too Y/N." She gave you a tight smile.
"Ahh my months off the field in therapy might be why sent me here too. You know how she feels about weakness." You rolled your eyes walking in more.
"Yeah she sure did rant about you." John spoke up nodding at you.
A small laugh left you, "Good to see you too Economos." You sat down nodding at Vigilante. "Who's this?"
"I'm Vigilante. Sorry didn't know you were joining the team!" He grinned at you. You nodded at him not saying much.
"Y/N." You gave him a short response taking a seat. "So what's the job?-"
"Guys you'll never guess what I found-" Your eyes glared at the next person who spoke.
Christopher Smith.
The man who killed your best friend. Rick Flag. The only man you ever felt safe around after everything happened to you.
"What the fuck?!" You shouted standing up. Chris's eyes widened as you grabbed your gun loading it.
"Hey!" Vigilante shouted out pulling his gun out again. "I'm not letting you shoot my best friend!!"
"Oh you're his friend." You pulled your other gun out pointing it at Vigilante. "That means you die too-"
"No one is dying!" Emilia shouted out. "Y/N they're part of this task force-"
"Oh this has to be a fucking joke. Waller wants me to work with him?" You shouted out.
"Like working with the fucking devil sounds fun for me-" Chris yelled out quickly getting cut off by you.
"I'm not a devil!!" You yelled at him. "But I will gladly become one just to end your fucking life-"
"Enough!!!" Harcourt shouted out. "I know it's hard for you to see him. Trust it was hard for us at first too. Considering how much of a dick he is, but we can't kill him. This mission is too important."
Your hand shook as you nodded setting the gun down. Your eyes met Vigilante. "You could put yours down too."
He nodded setting his gun down. "Now can someone explain what this important mission is?" You asked.
"Aliens?" You laughed after they filled you in. "Waller wants us to kill aliens!"
"Pretty much." Harcourt explained as she sighed taking a seat with you. "I know sounds fucking stupid, but this is the team." Harcourt explained.
You nodded sighing afterwards. "Got it." You looked around feeling a pair of eyes on you. It was Vigilante.
"Why did he call you a devil?" He asked.
"What?" You glared at him "I'm not a devil." You corrected him.
Vigilante nodded, "Alright alright cool it, I was just curious cause I can say for sure you don't look like a devil." He smiled.
You raised an eyebrow as everyone looked at him.
"She just tried to kill me and you're flirting with her!" Chris yelled out.
"What she's hot!" Vigilante yelled out throwing his hands up. You rolled your eyes at his words.
"Fuck they're both idiots." Vigilante glared at your words.
"Hey I'm not an idiot!" He shouted. "I'm smart when it counts!"
You gave him a blank stare.
Adrian didn't know who you were. What he did know though was that you had to be the definition of beauty.
You sat down ignoring Adrian's stare. He smiled at you. He was weird. Thats's the conclusion you came too.
Adrian on the other hand, came to the conclusion that you were rude, but there was something about you that made him want to know more.
"So you're name is Y/N?" He asked as he moved closer to you.
"Not to be rude but I don't wanna get to know you. You're Peacemaker's best friend right? So in my book that means you're a dick like he is." You snapped out.
"Hey no no I'm not a racist-"
"What does being a racist have to do with anything-"
"Cause that's what makes him a dick! He's a little bit of a racist!" Adrian shouted.
"Okay but that's not what makes him a dick! What makes him a dick is the fact that he killed someone I care about!" You yelled out.
"He killed someone you care about?" Adrian raised an eyebrow.
"Oh he didn't tell you?" You scoffed. "Just like him."
Chris went quiet overhearing you both.
"I'm sure he'll give you all the juicy details." Adrian stared at you after you spoke.
"No I think I'd wanna hear from you." He gave you a smile.
"That is if you're not gonna take the chance to know me and just assume I'm a dick." He grinned.
"I don't wanna be mean, but please fuck off." You sighed.
"Nah I'm like a leech. You can ask anyone besides I wanna get to know you." He smiled.
"Why?" You snapped out.
"Because something tells me I should and usually my gut feelings are never wrong so." He shrugged.
You sighed opting to just ignore him. He was irritating and very bothersome.
But the better question is why did you actually find him funny?
Two weeks went by, Adrian would not stop bothering you. You wanted to hate it, but you found him silly.
"So did you hear?" Adrian sat across from you. You hummed not bothering to talk. You hardly ever did.
"The next mission is gonna be just me and you!" He explained. "We get to spend time together-"
"Wait what?" You finally spoke. "Adrian the only people who I was told would work with me is Harcourt because she can handle it-"
"I know! I know! That you don't want me but I swore up and down to Harcourt that I can handle working with you. I mean I enjoy talking well I talk and you listen and I really appreciate that cause a lot of the time they cut me off and just call me stupid and you hardly call me stupid-"
"Adrian Adrian." You spoke to him to cut him off gently. "Breathe dude. Look I like the fact that you wanna work with me and I think you're nice but-"
"You don't wanna work with me." He sighed out. "I get that you're worried but I really can take care of myself-"
"That's not what I'm worried about..." Your eyes shut as you looked down. "I ask for Harcourt to work with me because I..have a condition. It's why I get called Devil. I don't like it and when it happens I struggle to hold back." You explained not meeting his gaze.
"That sounds fucking cool." You looked at him in shock hearing his words. "You gotta let me see it."
"No I can't control it-" You tried to speak.
"Why not?" He asked you. "Did you ever not learn to do it?" Adrian looked at you curiously.
"I used to be able too but after I sustained an injury I lost control and haven't been able to handle it since. Harcourt has been the only one I trust enough to pull me back from that ledge."
Adrian raised an eyebrow in surprise. "That's insane. I wanna ask what injury but-"
"I don't wanna talk about it. I appreciate your wanting to get to know me, but I don't trust anyone. I can't." You shook your head.
Adrian nodded in understanding, "No yeah I rarely trust people with my identity. It's hard to trust anyone." He explained. "Look if you really wanna work with just Harcourt I'll respect that, but if you'd be willing to give me a chance maybe I could help." He gave you a small smile.
He sounded apologetic. Adrian wasn't that stupid. He could see the look in your eyes. He had the same look. You're someone who'd been hurt badly and it scarred you.
He could say the same about his relationship with his brother. He was always the scrawny stupid guy no one really liked. He hit puberty at a late age and his best friend disregards him most of the time.
Adrian knew that rage you had. He experienced it in his own way everyday.
You smiled back gently. It was weird. You hadn't smiled in a long time. Adrian's eyes widened seeing your small smile.
God he decided at that moment he wanted to see it everyday.
"Thank you Adrian." You whispered softly. "Maybe eventually."
"I got time." Adrian grinned back at you.
A month passed by now, Adrian could see everyday he was making the smallest difference with you. He knew he wanted you.
He also knew though that you'd come to him eventually.
Everyone could see you treated him differently.
It was nice to be around someone who didn't give you a pity look. Maybe it was cause he didn't know.
Adrian didn't know about the injury you sustained that caused you to be the way you were. You didn't want him to find out.
This mission was supposed to be a quick in and out.
Chris and Adrian were supposed to go in with just Harcourt and Leota.
John and you were the cover from the outside. Harcourt had ordered for you to stay behind. You weren't supposed to be involved. There was too many people around.
You sat watching from the cameras to make sure everyone was okay. The only problem was that it wasn't just a couple of butterflies. It was a whole warehouse. A horde.
"We need to fall back!" You heard Harcourt yelling from the intercoms.
"Fuck fuck fuck!" John yelled getting ready to drive off. You quickly ran opening the door. "Come on!!" You yelled out. You pulled Chris aboard along with Harcourt and Leota.
"Vigilante!!" You screamed out seeing him trying to run to catch up. John started the car. Your hand reached for Adrian's gasping as he grabbed it only to be pulled back.
"NO!" Adrian yelled out fighting the hordes of hands all over him.
Your eyes widened seeing the hands grabbing at him trying to pull him back as John began to drive needing to get away. Adrian looked at you through his mask fighting off the group on him as best as he could.
Your eyes though were stuck on the hands. So many hands on his body as he was screaming no.
It was as if you could feel them on your own skin. Hands on your body. Pulling at you. Tearing at your skin and now hands were on Adrian.
Heavy pants left you. Tears welled in your eyes seeing Adrian's mask get pulled off.
"GET OFF OF HIM!!!" You screeched out. Everyone in the van looked in shock hearing your bones snapping as you jumped off the van. A loud screech sounding out as horns grew on your head. Wings sprouting from your back.
Adrian watched in shock as you pushed off your feet flying to him. A waved of fire now behind as you shoved yourself at the horde. A sword appeared in your hand as you swung taking down three at once.
"Chase get away from her!!!!" Harcourt shouted as John stopped the car. Emilia quickly ran out to get to you. Adrian watched in shock as you ruthlessly swung taking heads off.
A loud dragon roar erupted from your throat as you set nearby bodies on fire. "Shit!!" Emilia cursed. "She's losing too much control. Chase you gotta get away I can get her to calm down."
You glared at the bodies around you. Blood soaked over you. Loud screams ripped through you as you swung your sword around glaring at the two of them.
Not able to recognize them you sprinted stabbing the ground as your wings flapped almost ready to lunge at Adrian and Emilia.
"Y/N Y/N! Stop!" Harcourt shouted raising her hand. "Adrian get out of here!!"
Adrian couldn't move though. How could he?
You looked beautiful...
It was as if he was in a trance. The only thing on his mind was getting closer to you. He ignored Emilia moving to you. You glared at him angrily roaring in his face grunting as he stood in front of you.
"Chase no she'll kill you-" Emilia tried to grab him.
"No she won't!" Adrian yelled at her. "Shut the fuck up and let me handle it." Adrian made eye contact with you as he said his next words, "I can handle it." He whispered now.
He removed his mask getting his glasses on. You grunted holding yourself back from lunging at him.
"You're mad I know you are." He spoke to you. "You didn't like them touching me."
You bared your teeth jumping at him. He approached you not caring. Your hands shook as he kept walking to you.
"That's what this was right? All the hands-" You cut him off yelling at him. Adrian ignored you, "The hands. Your eyes were only locked on the hands, but look they're gone."
Your eyes looked down at his hands. You shook as he kept approaching you not an ounce of fear on his face. Why wasn't he scared?
Everyone else usually was.
Adrian gently grabbed your wrist. Tears sprung to your eyes as you struggled against him your sword disappearing. Your lungs were on fire as your wings snapped out.
Adrian caught you as you fell sobbing as your body slowly burned away your wings. "I got you. You're good dude. It's okay." He sighed rocking you as you heaved oxygen barely reaching your mouth.
"Adrian-" You gasped his name out sobbing loudly as he tightened his grip on you.
"I'm here. It's okay. The hands are gone." He whispered.
You nodded gripping him back tightly before your body fell limp the pain knocking you out cold.
"You got her down." Emilia whispered in shock. Adrian nodded at her words.
"Yeah I noticed where she was looking. What triggered her.." He whispered out before looking at Emilia.
"She said the reason she couldn't control herself was because of an injury she sustained. The reason she was in therapy for so long...what happened?" He looked at her shaking already having a hunch.
"Get her in the van. We need to leave." Emilia ignored his question. "It's not my place now get her in the van."
Adrian glared at her a bit before nodding. He scooped you up huffing as he kept you close. "Don't worry, I won't let you go." He whispered to your unconscious body.
The feeling after transforming was what you though to be the worst. Ever since you were hurt anytime you transformed it felt as if it was tearing your body apart. You couldn't control it. Not anymore.
Your body would be sore for about a day depending on how long you'd be in your devil form. Adrian sat by you making sure to keep you comfortable.
Emilia warned him about the pain you went through after transforming.
When you awoke the first thing you felt was soreness from your back, you winced arching a bit feeling as if someone poured lava on you.
"Hey hey what do you need?" You turned seeing Adrian.
"Water." You whispered hoarsely feeling the parched. Mainly from the yelling you did. Your throat on fire.
Adrian nodded holding a straw to your lips letting you take greedy gulps. You sighed pulling back nodding at him. "Thank you." You whispered grateful he was here. Grateful he didn't look scared.
"You're okay..do you remember what happened?" He asked you warily. You stood quiet for a moment contemplating on telling him the truth.
"Yeah I do." You whispered after a moment. "Thank you for that too...I'm sorry I uh.."
"You're good. It was pretty bad ass to be honest." He grinned at you for a moment. You sighed rolling your eyes.
"No it wasn't." You sighed. "It was horrifying and kinda gross-"
"You looked beautiful." He cut you off. "I thought that you were something straight from DND and I really love DND remember? God it was so cool. How could that be horrifying?" He asked you. He looked almost love struck.
He was praising you as if you showed him the gates to heaven.
You went quiet processing his words. "It's hard for me to be in that form."
"Since you're injury right?" You looked up at him nodding.
"Yeah since my injury." Adrian nodded at your words sitting down. He offered you his hand. It was a friendly gesture.
Hesitantly you reached forward grabbing it, your hand shook as he stood quiet. It was only about two minutes before he spoke again.
"Y/N I know most people have probably asked you to talk about it but-"
"Please don't ask..please I can't have you know. So please Adrian don't ask me.." You whispered meekly. Adrian's breath hitched he'd never seen you so vulnerable before.
You always kept an annoyed front. A strong front and right now you were raw. You were a mess, but Adrian didn't mind. He loved beautiful messes.
"I won't ask you too. I could never ask you anything that I think would hurt you, but I'm not gonna leave you so easily either. Not right now that you're like this.." He squeezed your hand.
Your hand squeezed his back as you looked into his eyes only seeing honesty. Adrian was a bad liar. He wouldn't leave you. You knew he meant it.
"Rick Flag was the one who found me..my injuries nearly killed me." You spoke hoarsely. Adrian nodded. "That's why you hate Peacemaker who's still my bestie." He joked softly.
You scoffed, "Even after he let you get tortured." You spoke back smiling at him. Your smile faded as you looked at him.
"You're really not gonna leave me right?" You asked him weakly.
Adrian looked into your eyes. "Peacemaker is my best friend, but you are my salvation." He spoke confidently. "And I'll wait for you for years if I have too. I'd never felt the way I feel about you for anyone. Not even my own family. It confuses me, but I know I want to be by your side. You treat me as more than a joke." He admitted.
"No one's cared for me this way before..and I don't know how to let people care for me Adrian. I'm not worth this effort-" You shook your head feeling hot tears go down your cheeks.
Adrian grabbed your chin turning you to look at him, "How about you don't make that choice for me? I know we've only known each other for a short while, and in this time I've seen you. And I mean you Y/N..I know no one has seen the real you in a long time and I already adore the person you are... You're worth it to me because I don't want to let you go. And I'll do whatever I have to do to keep you..even though I'm pretty annoying at times. I'll take as long as you need." He leaned in a bit resting his forehead against yours.
You whimpered before reaching up grabbing the front of his shirt. "It was two years ago." You rasped out gruffly.
Adrian nodded gently pulling back to look at you. "I'm listening." He reassured you.
"I was sent on a mission alone. Waller used to send me on them telling me I can handle it. I was able to transform so easily back then. It never hurt so badly." Tears ran down your cheeks as Adrian listened. Your head fell back against the pillow.
You'd never exactly told anyone this besides Rick. Months of therapy didn't get you to speak about it so easily. Yet with Adrian it felt safe, you knew no matter what he wasn't gonna be so easily scared away.
"I was taking down a scientist. His experiments consisted of female anatomies. He would use women and turn them into monsters. I uh..He was about Peacemakers height. Well build." You described him to a detail. "Dark brown eyes. He had callous on his hands from his work. He was my target. I was supposed to wipe him out and stop him."
You stood quiet looking down. "Someone betrayed the company at the time. Sold me out and told him what I was so he knew to prepare for me. He had a trap set. It electrocuted me to the point that my body became immobile."
Adrian stayed silent gripping your hand. He knew this wasn't gonna be an easy story to stomach.
"I was trapped and when I woke up my head was fuzzy. He had drugged me so much I couldn't transform back. I couldn't move Adrian. He kept laughing. Taunting me. His breath stank and his beer belly was big and gross." You gagged a bit.
"His hands dragged all over me. Said what a fine specimen I was.." You shook anger coursing through you. "I tried to move, but I was so fucking weak. I'd never felt more fucking pathetic. He stripped me bare. Said he was excited for this. That he'd been excited hearing what I was. His hands pulled his belt off and he forced himself on me..."
Adrian clenched his fist against his leg. His body tense. It was as if his body was on fire. He'd never felt this level of rage in his life. The idea of you in agonizing pain. Unable to move. Hands all over your body against your will.
"I bled. It was dry so when he forced himself in I wasn't ready for it. His hands ripped my wings when he grabbed them for better leverage. It was about five hours when he finally stopped. I was beaten and raped repeatedly in all that time." You sobbed looking down.
"It was as if I was watching myself from an outside view. The bones in my wings were broken by him. He ripped me apart Adrian and I couldn't fucking move. I was so scared. He wanted to kill me but after seeing how he had left me. He said I wasn't worth killing. And hopefully one day he'd get to feel me again. He killed me though still..I wasn't the same.. Rick Flag found me. Waller sent him once I hadn't responded in a day. He described in my file as one of the more gruesome sights. I was hung up to be found that way."
You angrily punched the bed. "God why didn't I break free? Why did I let that happen to me Adrian? I was smarter than that. I was better. Stronger. He took my heart away from me Adrian. He ruined me-" You began to hyperventilate.
"Hey hey-" Adrian was quick to try to soothe you. "Stop stop don't do that."
"Do what? I'm speaking the truth! It's my fault that happened to me. I can't control it anymore! I just feel so angry all the time and sad! Nothing feels good anymore and it's because I didn't protect myself better-" You gasped
"Y/N!" Adrian snapped out now. "Shut up." He grabbed your shoulders. "Shut up right now." He spoke firmer now.
"You listen to me," Adrian grabbed your hands gently. "Don't you ever say that about yourself again. None of that is your fault"
"Adrian.." You cried.
"No stop. None of it is your fault and what he did doesn't define who you are." He snapped out. "You were drugged. You said it yourself. You couldn't move. There was no way to stop him. You didn't know. What he did to you is horrible. He broke your wings, but you did what you should've done. You survived." He whispered
"You survived and you're still here and I swear to you now. I am going to hunt him down if it's the last thing I do. Nothing will keep this man safe from me." Adrian spoke determined to make this man feel the worse pain he could.
"I don't want you to blame yourself for what this coward of a man did to you. I don't want you to say you're weak, because you survived the nightmare. That doesn't make you weak. It makes you the toughest person I know." He grabbed your hands tighter kissing your head.
"You are not the things he made you think you were. It's not your fault and I'll say as many times as you need me too. Because you're not weak. You're not pathetic. You're the strong person I've gotten to know and care more about as time goes on. And I don't think any less of you." He spoke softly.
"You don't?" You asked him shakily.
"Why would I?" He whispered back looking into your eyes. "I said I wasn't going anywhere and I'll take as long as you need. So long as you want me around..."
"I do want you around...I want someone who doesn't give me a sad stare." You sniffled as he wiped your tears. Adrian smiled.
"When I see you all I see is the beautiful devil...why would I give that a sad stare?" He caressed your cheek.
"I need to go slow before I could fully-"
"Hey...didn't I say I'll wait as long as I have too?" He grinned grabbing both your hands. "More it'll be worth it in the end." Adrian smiled.
"I wanna learn to be me again.." Your hands played with his fingers nervously.
"I wanna help." Adrian spoke back.
"I'm a bit of a mess-" You tried to warn him stopping as he scoffed.
"So am I." Adrian smiled. "I still want you." He spoke softly.
"You sure?" You asked once more. Adrian nodded.
"As sure as I know that you're the most breath taking thing in front of me." Adrian laughed.
"Shut up." You groaned.
"Nah you like hearing me talk." Adrian grinned. "I'll never stop talking to you and flirting with you."
"God are you gonna be this annoying?" You smiled a bit. "Thank you.." You whispered. "I want you by my side." You admitted.
"Then I'm here. You only need to ask." Adrian kissed your knuckles.

Jean Grey...
The very name was more pretty than yours. She was everything you weren't.
You could never be her.
That's why you understood why Logan loved her. You craved that same gazing look he gave her. The way his eyes seemed to grow almost soft when he would stare at her.
The crinkles in the corner of his eyes when he would smile at her.
You could never be Jean Grey. Especially considering the fact that Logan couldn't even spare you a glance half the time.
You were a background person. A wallflower. Even before you developed your mutation, you had always just been average.
Ironically enough your mutation allowed you to control the vines and flowers.
You built a garden for the students to play in. It was your pride and Charles loved it. It's where you spent most your time, tending to it.
Jean loved books while you loved the mud.
It was another boring blissful day. Nothing new. Nothing exciting. Another mission for the team. You went on them anytime you could. Your florals allowed you to heal wounds.
You always went as support. The only person never really needing it being Logan. Nothing you did ever really benefitted him it seemed.
Jumping a bit, you looked to your side seeing Logan. His eyes staring ahead. Jean and Scott had just gotten together making it known to everyone.
Logan hadn't seemed to care but you could see the longing in his eyes. How he wished it was him
Jean was leaning against. Him that she was kissing gently as she caressed his chest.
Not that you knew, but you were wrong.
Logan stared in longing, but not for Jean. He stared for the craving of being loved.
As you fiddled with your thumbs, he stared down at you. Wishing it could be you holding his arm. Kissing his cheek as he grumbled.
Logan knew he was a unworthy man, but he'd kill for the very touch of your lips against his cheek. For the idea that maybe you could love him in the way Jean loved Scott.
Anytime you believed he was staring at Jean, he hadn't been looking at her. He was looking at the you.
He was only looking at her wishing it would be you staring at him the way she stared at Scott.
Jean and him had a complicated relationship, but the way he felt for you surpassed anything he ever believed he felt for Jean.
You lit the room up.
He never even really liked flowers till he met you.
"Doll what's goin on in that mind of yours?" His smooth voice sounded out as he whispered in your ear.
You jumped in surprise hearing his voice. "Oh nothing. I was just thinking about what new flowers I wanna add to the garden back at the manor."
Logan chuckled a bit. "Always thinkin about flowers huh? What kind were you thinking though?" He smirked lightly at you.
"Bleeding hearts." You grinned at him bashfully. It was hard not to feel anything when he would smile at you.
"Those sure are beautiful." He huffed a bit.
"You know what those are?" You teased a bit laughing as he glared at you.
"Course I do. I'm not an idiot all the time." Logan grumbled a bit puffing his cigar.
"I never said you were." You quickly reassured him. "Just not many people know plants."
"I learned for you." He whispered out.
Your smiled dropped as you looked at him in slight shock. That was unexpected.
"Did you really?" You whispered out now. Logan smirked at you ruffling your hair.
"So bleeding hearts for the garden?" He asked again changing the subject.
"Yeah..bleeding hearts." You repeated still staring at him dazed.
The mission went smoothly as usual. Logan always made sure any mission he went on for you did. He never wanted you overworked.
Jean smiled as you tended to her minor wounds. "Thank you." She smiled as you worked.
"You don't gotta thank me. I'm just happy I could be of some use." You chuckled a bit.
Jean shook her head, "You shouldn't do that. Don't talk down on your self like that."
"I can't help it." You tried to joke. Jean shook her head again.
"You should ask him out." She spoke up. You looked at her in shock.
"Who?" You tried to play it off. Jean couldn't afford to know. He was once someone she saw romantically.
"You know who. He's staring at us right now." She smiled. You turned your head finding Logan.
"He's staring at you. He always does." You sighed out. Jean shook her head.
"You're wrong. He's staring at you. I know. I could tell. Trust me..I don't hold a candle to how he looks at you." She smiled walking away.
Rolling your eyes, you began to pack your things. How could she know what Logan truly wanted?
You knew she could read minds but she would never pry in his. At least you hoped she wouldn't.
Once home, you were the first off the quinjet not noticing how Logan's eyes followed you.
Quickly you ran to the garden smiling as you saw it intact beautifully.
You used your mutation to brighten the flowers making a vine above hanging the bleeding hearts.
"Here I thought you'd race to get some rest after a mission. Should've known you'd be out here." Logan's voice sounded out.
You turned to face him smiling.
"Couldn't help it. Been thinking about this the entire fly back."
Logan approached gently touching the flowers. "They sure are beautiful..."
"Thank you.." You whispered in response. Logan stared in amazement at you not looking away as you met his gaze.
It felt impossible. How was he staring at you this way?
You weren't Jean.
That's why he was looking at you though. You weren't Jean. You were you.
Logan was always a man of action. Not words. He leaned in giving you the opportunity to move. T
o push him and ask what he was doing. He didn't even know what he was doing , but he wanted to kiss you.
God did he want to kiss you.
His lips brushed against yours.
A small breath left you as he shut his eyes. Your hands moved up his shoulders whining as he pressed himself against you.
He kissed you with everything he had.
You pulled away looking at him in shock. His hand caressed your cheek.
"God I am so selfish for asking this. I don't deserve you, but please let me have you.." He whispered kissing you again.
You panted nodding as he kissed you again. His head moving to nuzzle against your neck.
He inhaled your scent deeply growling as his hands moved your waist caressing your hips.
"Logan.." You whispered pulling back to look at him. "I'm not..I'm not used to this..do you really want me?" You asked him in shock.
"You have no idea doll. No fucking clue what I would do for you." He whispered panting.
"Logan.." You whimpered his name as he caressed your head.
"I'm right here. I want you..so let me have you.." He spoke in a slight desperate growl.
"I thought you wanted her.." You spoke softly. Logan shook his head.
"Don't say stupid shit. All I want is you."
You smiled at his attitude laughing as he lifted you up carrying you away.
"Shush..we're getting food." He grumbled.
"Okay..guess I belong to you now." You teased.
"Damn straight you do." Logan huffed a laugh knowing you'd be stuck next to him forever.
Synopsis: You're an immortal. Adrian is not. You fall in love with a version of him each and every time. Only to outlive him.
So I had this idea while listening to the song 'I Know You,' by Faye Webster. I recommend.

"You're holding me and holding back
I don't really care for that
Just you"
Adrian didn't wanna go out tonight. He said he wouldn't, but the team wanted him to go.
So here he was sat here at the bar ordering a beer as he waited for Chris to show up. He didn't notice you.
The pretty girl who had been working the bar. The girl who couldn't help but look at him as if you saw a ghost. The girl who's hand shook as you handed him a beer.
"This isn't what I ordered miss-" Adrian froze as he looked up seeing you. Actually seeing you. He adjusted his glasses.
"Hi.." He breathed out. A warm feeling spread throughout him. He grinned at you.
It was like something struck his chest. He couldn't describe it but you were..
You were so beautiful..
"So this isn't your drink? I'm sorry call it an old habit I guess. I'll get you what you ordered sorry-"
"No no! I want this beer. I'll take it your fine." Adrian grinned at you. You gave him a nervous smile. He took it sipping it.
"Holy shit this is amazing." You fidgeted with your hands.
"Yeah I figured you would like that one." He couldn't stop staring at you. "Well I'll be getting back to work now."
"What's your name?" Adrian asked you.
"What?"
"Your name? I'm so sorry I must be acting like such a weirdo. I'm Adrian and I plan on ordering this beer again so incase I forget the name of it..Can I have your name?"
"Oh..I'm Y/N.." You gave him a smile.
"Y/N..that's such a pretty name.." You grew flustered as he couldn't help but stare at you.
"Thank you..Adrian.." You walked away giving him another glance. He looked just the same as always.
Adrian jumped feeling a hand on his shoulder. "Dude why are you staring at the bartender?" Chris had arrived.
"Oh I just ordered a drink."
"That's not your usual though." Chris gave him a confused look.
"I wanted to try something new okay!" Adrian snapped out. He shook his head.
Chris laughed a bit. "Alright dude my bad. You mind calling her back? I wanna order a drink now."
"Uh sure sure sure." Adrian looked at you giving you a grin again. You smiled waving at him. He waved you over.
"There's a pause between every minute
Feelin' like I need something
It's just you"
You giggled as Adrian kissed your neck. "Man am I so happy you came home with me."
"Well you're cute and you got me pizza so I couldn't pass up an opportunity to be with you." Adrian laughed kissing you.
"Now look I latched on and didn't let go and I will never let you go." You giggled kissing his lips. "I don't know how to explain it. I just felt attached to you. Like it happened so fast.”
Your smile faltered a bit at his words. Adrian lifted his head feeling you tense. “What’s wrong?” He asked caressing your cheek.
“Nothing..just happy to be here with you.” You relaxed again. He kissed your lips.
“I’m happy to be here with you too. Now wanna cuddle and watch movies?” He asked running his hand down your stomach. You giggled feeling ticklish.
“Yeah I’d love that a lot.” He smiled at your words kissing you again. He really couldn’t explain it. He just felt it in his heart.
“I know I know
I know I know
you..
You…”
“Adrian I don’t-“
“ITS NOT WHAT IT LOOKS LIKE!!” Adrian shouted cutting you off. His hands urgently reaching for his mask.
You stood in shock feeling the blood soak through your shoes. Your socks now drenched.
In all the lives you’ve lived, you have seen your fair share of dead people. You’ve seen Adrian die in almost every life time you’ve been with him, but this was different.
You had never seen him standing over the dead people.
“Honey please please it’s not what it looks like.” He panted ripping his Vigilante mask off. “I swear please baby.” He reached for you desperate.
Your eyes snapped to his. Shock was coursing through you but the one thing that also flowed through you was love.
Adrian was and will always be the love of your life. No matter what.
Your hand lifted grasping his ignoring the blood on them. “It’s okay.” Adrian looked in shock by your words. You leaned in your lips meeting his gently. “I know you. It’s okay.” You reassured.
He grasped at you yanking your body to his. Neither of you caring of the blood all over or the dead body in the room. At least you knew in this lifetime Adrian could protect himself.
“I'll quiet down if it's what you want
I understand I'm not the only one
For you”
“So peacemaker and me totally fucking nerfed this guy and then he spit out a fucking Butterfly from his mouth! So I freak out and I shoot him-“
“Adrian you’re literally missing your pinky toe.” You lectured him as you tended to his wounds. “This is not funny to me. He let you get tortured.”
“Well yeah but he also couldn’t give up information so I understand-“
“Yeah well I don’t. You call him your best friend but he could even fucking stop a guy from torturing you.”
“Y/N…” Adrian sighed out. “It’s not a big deal-“
“Yes it is.” You cut him off. “I’m sorry honey but this is big deal to me. You’re hurting. And if this me sitting here instead you’d have a lot more to say.”
“Yeah but this isn’t you! God why do I even bother speaking you have some type of lecture waiting for me.” Adrian snapped out.
“You did not just say that to me.” You snapped out standing up. Adrian sighed looking away.
“Okay…make sure to keep your wounds clean.” Adrian’s eyes widened seeing you grab your bag.
“Baby where are you going-“
“Away from you since all I seem to do is fucking annoy you.” You yelled back as tears welled in your eyes.
“I didn’t say that!” Adrian argued. “You’re putting words in my mouth.”
“Every time I find you I get so happy but then forget how much of an ass you are.” You sniffled as you cried.
“Babe what do you mean?” He asked confused by your wording. You ignored him storming out.
“So tell me what you're looking for
Is it a picture-perfect girl
For you?”
You laid in bed replaying the argument with Adrian in your head. You loved him more than anything in your life.
Could this be the end? No it couldn’t possibly be? You’ve had worser disagreements in the past. Well your past lives that is.
It was exhausting losing Adrian.
A knock on your window interrupted your thoughts. Peeking through you sighed seeing Adrian as Vigilante.
“I don’t wanna talk to you.” You snapped out. Adrian groaned.
“Honey I’m sorry! You were right. I should be more angry about it. I don’t think you lecture me all the time and when you do I know it’s cause you care. I’m just an idiot!”
You opened the window glaring at him. “No you’re just sorry cause you want something not cause you mean it.”
“No I do mean it.” Adrian snapped out. “I do mean that I’m sorry for upsetting you and making you cry. I don’t like doing that.”
You rolled your eyes as he reached forward grasping your chin. “Hey.” He whispered out. “I do mean it. You’re right I’m not sorry for brushing the whole thing off but I am sorry for not taking your feelings into account and not listening to you and making you sad. You only speak to me cause you care and I love you and I’m not ready to lose you.” He whispered out.
You moved aside letting him in. He ripped his mask off lunging for you. His head buried in your neck as he held you. You sighed hugging him back.
“You were also right about another thing. I did come for something and that something is you.” He murmured out. “You’re mine. My girl and I don’t like it when we’re apart and you’re mad at me.” He kissed you softly.
“Here I was thinking you’d break up with me and find someone better.” You teased.
“Never.” Adrian looked at you seriously. “I could never.”
“I know
I know
You
You…”
“So you can’t die.” Adrian repeated your words softly. After project Butterfly, you decided it was finally time to tell Adrian your biggest secret.
“Yes..when I was younger I challenged one of the gods and I lost. He proceeded to curse me with immortality.” I sighed.
“That’s why you never age?” Adrian snapped out. A small short laugh bursted. Out of everything he could’ve said you weren’t expecting that.
“Yeah that’s why I don’t age. I’ve lived through it all Adrian.” You smiled at him. He sighed holding your hand.
“And you know me?..” He repeated again. You nodded standing up.
“This is my photo album that I’ve never shown you..it goes back to when cameras were invented.” Adrian looked through it shocked to see himself over and over.
“Y/N..you fall in love with me over and over again.” He whispered in shock.
“And I standby you as you die too.” You spoke. “I love you Adrian Chase. More than anything in this universe.”
Adrian stood up scooping you up in his arms. “I love you too..I don’t know what to say. This is crazy. Like it’s cool but also like wow. You’re telling me that you fall in love with me over and over?”
“It’s how I knew your favorite that night we met at the bar. I’ve gotten you that same drink so many times.” He laughed at your words.
“I wanna be with you forever.” He whispered out.
“I'm here regardless of the pain
Don't ever tell me to go away
From you”
“ADRIAN!” You yelled for him as you bursted through the hospital doors. Chris stood up going to meet you.
“Y/N! Hey hey calm down he’s in surgery right now as we speak.” He grasped your arm. You yanked away from him.
“You don’t talk to me! You could give two shits about him.” You snapped out. A nurse approached you both.
“Adrian Chase?” She spoke up. Your head snapped up.
“I’m his fiance.” You looked at her worriedly. It was seven pm when you got the call. Adrian had been in a tough fight and took a gunshot for Chris.
You had practically ran yourself here.
The nurse nodded. “He’s in the ICU asking to see you. I could take you back there with him?” She offered softly. “The doctor said his chances are not so good. The gun punctured his upper cavity..”
Your heart dropped at her words. You rushed with her seeing Adrian in his hospital bed. Tears welled in your eyes as you ran to him.
“Adrian..” You whispered out. Your hand grasped his. “I’m right here baby even if you can’t see me I’m right here. I’m not gonna go anywhere.”
Adrian laid barely able to speak. His hand gently squeezed yours back as you kissed his arm. Your head pressed against his shoulder.
“You’re gonna be okay. You have too. I can’t lose you so soon. Please don’t make me lose you so soon.” You sobbed against him.
“When we're old and have to leave the Earth
I'll still remember all I've learned
From you”
You had never once lost Adrian this soon. You were supposed to have a lifetime left before this happened again.
This wasn’t something you had prepared for. Adrian always was unpredictable.
He laid asleep in bed your hand still in his. You weren’t going to leave him. You refused too.
You’d do anything for him.
That includes giving your life away. You grasped his hand tightly.
Something filled you deeply. There was always a part of the curse you were bared that, you didn’t tell Adrian. The only way to cure the curse would be to past it on to the person you love the most.
Immortality was one of your greatest shames though. It wasn’t all it was thought out to be. You didn’t want Adrian to die though.
“This will kill me..” You spoke softly. The second the curse would leave your body, you’d die.
You smiled softly kissing him. “I love you. And I hope you find someone to love again. Maybe in another life we’re happy?..” A small sob left you as you caressed his head letting your life spill into him.
Hey, are you open to requests right now? No pressure if not, I don’t want you to be overwhelmed right after getting back. I’m so happy you’re back though!
