Starter Call

Okay, because I’m a bit lazy and tbh, want more stuff to do here, here’s this! Starter Call time again! You know the drill, like for a starter of varying length just ‘cus I wanna get in writing this great and kind of awkward boy/man! There’s no cap limit so go nuts!

“What? I can’t walk around? When did you set that rule and when were you gonna tell me about it?”

It was obvious to anyone who knew him, could tell that he was still half asleep. Even if he didn’t yawn, his movements were slower than usual and well… He was just obvious about it.

“I couldn’t sleep, okay? And there’s no way in hell I’ll lay down and do nothing if Gladio’s snoring.”

               ‘ it’s… not so much a rule as it is that you’ve caught me off                  guard. i wasn’t expecting anyone to be awake. forgive me                   for getting– uppity. ‘ 

                          it was the truth: not many people could sleep through gladio’s                            involuntary snoring spells. it only made sense that someone                            else was awake besides himself.

Noctis sighed and ran a hand through his face while stifling a yawn. It wasn’t like Gladio had kept him awake, he could usually sleep through the night without being bothered but for some reason, he couldn’t do it this particular day. And it was true, once he was awake, there was nothing that could protect him from Gladio’s snoring. 

“N-no, it’s okay Iggy. I shouldn’t have caught you off guard. I should’ve let you know, or something... I forgot you’re awake at this time.”

“So uh, how does that healing thing work?” Noctis was a bit more than interested in her healing abilities. At first glance, it seemed to him that they were like Luna’s own powers though it also seemed that Mipha didn’t take any... Blowback damage from the healing, unlike Luna.

“I uh, I never thanked you for helping Prompto when you did. Ten years ago, I mean.” Noctis looked at the ground and then at Aranea. He was surprised to see her so soon after his return to Eos. He’d heard that she’d been busy hunting daemons and saving people in danger alongside Cor, the Kingsglaives and Iris, so he was relieved that she was still alive and kicking. After a few seconds of silence had passed, he took a deep breath and nodded at her. 

“Thank you for helping Prompto and not letting him get killed. It meant a lot to me - To us.”

“Yeah... That’s not funny. We look nothing alike! He just... He copied my hairstyle and my clothes!” He hated to admit that the other did, in fact, look at bit like him, especially from behind though the plaid like parts did give away the fact that it wasn’t Noctis.
