San Diego, California...

I just moved back to California and its funny to me that years of being in Ohio, having fun, being told I'm pretty that I AM THE UGLY GIRL. 

In San Diego if you are not light skin, Asian or Mexican, skinny, have a fat ass or titties you are not cute, attractive, beautiful, pretty nothing. 

I cant tell you how many times Ive gone out with friends and guys are all over them and its just like "Oh shit you guys came with a black girl" so I usually just text or occupy myself with Candy Crush lol.

I am not ugly nor do I have low self esteem but i know for a fact my future Mr. is not in California because I do not fit the profile.

The Secret

I was told to watch this movie on Netflix today called "The Secret", at first i was feeling as though this was going to be a load of crap. I thought that it was another excuse for non-Christians to basically justify Christianity without acknowledging that there is a God but as I continued to watch I realized that it was a lot deeper than that.

This movie change my perspective on the way that I am living my life in general because things that were said I have seen in my own experience is true. For months I would say "Im going to quit smoking" but I have never said "I quit smoking". This movie talks about attraction and speaking things into existence and when you think of things whether consciously or self consciously you are still putting these things into existence.

For about two weeks now I have continued to say " i quit smoking" and I have not had and urge to smoke since speaking this into existence.

This movie has motivated me to create a list of things that will happen that I will speak into existence because negativity that I allow to take over my body is unnecessary.

My list of positivity:

I am beautiful.

I am healthy.

I will lose weight for my health, not for self worth.

I will be and attorney.

I will never be in debt.

Someone will love me.

I am confident

and as my tattoo says, I am "BEAUTIFULLY UNIQUE".

I have spoke these things into existence and I will continue to repeat them and believe them everyday because I believe that change in my life starts with no one but me.

When a black man dates a white women in 2014 it is regular its not a big deal because it has become regular and accepted by society, but why is it when a black woman dates a white man is it all of a sudden strange? Essentially they too are still an interracial couple.

I personally have endured the looks and stares like we are a side show attraction, NOW PRESENTING LADIES AND GENTLEMAN A RARE SITE NOTHING YOU’VE EVER SEEN BEFORE!

Since when did love specify to race, ethnicity color or gender. Since when did attraction matter on if you and that person where the same?

Now I have heard the interracial debates like the reasons SOME black men date white women or SOME black women date white men. But these ignorant beings are not the spokes people for all black people.

I just wish that we can get to a place where I can walk down the street with my blonde hair blue eyed white man and someone say “you guys look great together” not awkwardly stare like we are an abomination!
