Stephen Kellogg February 2nd at Crescent Ballroom For fans of: Brett Dennen, Marc Broussard, and Amos Lee When it comes to performing, CBS Radio has called Stephen, "the best live act you've never seen." Another writer at No Depression magazine gives him the oddly flattering title of "the best songwriter you're not listening to." Interestingly though while Kellogg may not be a household name at present, he has persisted in building a substantial career. Perhaps most importantly to Kellogg, he's ingratiated himself. His Americana-tinged, sometimes folk, often rock, occasionally pop stylings can make Kellogg hard to define, and his most recent four part album "South, West, North, East" embraces the notion of genre splitting to the fullest. Head over to our Facebook page for your chance to win tickets for you and THREE friends to see The Neighbourhood LIVE at Marquee Theatre in Tempe, AZ on February 4th!

THIS FRIDAY 12/18 at Valley Bar CAVANAUGH (ft Open Mike Eagle and Serengeti (rapper)) ----------- Sifting through the alter-egos, the nine-song hip-hop powerhouse that is Cavanaugh is up for interpretation. It's two guys, both of whom make idiosyncratic, layered, and darkly funny hip-hop, just talking: To hear each other, to hear themselves. It's what they do on Time and Materials, their new collaborative album under the project name Cavanaugh. It's a short but potent burst of a record, nine songs of rapid-fire rhymes over throbbing industrial beats (Eagle produced all of the music on the album—he credits his anxiety as an influence on the album's murky soundscapes). J Fernandez with Slow Moses (FKA Wooden Indian) Saturday December 19th at Crescent Ballroom For Fans of: Tobias Jesso Jr., courtney barnett, and Matthew E. White There is strange dissonance resonating in the Chicago-based musician J Fernandez. His tunes catch you with their impeccable hooks, hypnotic grooves, warm tones, and crafty structures there lies subtle darkness in these songs. Whether it comes from the woozy combo organs fighting frequencies or the bummer lyrics that leave you feeling hollow, Fernandez is grasping for something real. They are personal tunes but ones crafted so well as to ring in our collective unconscious, instantly begging the question Where have I heard this before? For Tickets and more info click HERE

AA Bondy December 13th at Valley Bar For Fans of: Ray LaMontagne, Gregory Alan Isakov, and M. Ward Auguste Arthur "A. A." Bondy, also known as Scott Bondy, is an American folk/alternative artist from Birmingham, Alabama. After AA Bondy's former band Southern grunge darlings Verbena, (frequently compared to Nirvana because of their gritty, aggressive sound and Bondy's searing vocals) Bondy retreated to his Catskills home in Palenville in upstate New York, and in time, began writing songs again, emerging with a stripped-down indie folk sound. You may've heard his songs in hit tv shows House, Bones, One Tree Hill, Shameless and Friday Night Lights. Tickets and more info available - Click Here
