The window rolled down as Clara glanced over a pair of sunglasses. “You needing a ride, gorgeous?” Velvette guffawed and pushed her into the passenger seat. Clara didn’t mind at all, easily rolling to the other side and getting comfortable there. “You don’t have any blood on the wheels or grill yet?” Velvette didn’t have to adjust the seat, it did it for her. She might have to check if there was Voxtek tech in the engine, but she knew Clara knew better. She would have been careful. Maybe it was a knock off. “Not yet.” Clara smirked, putting her feet up on the dash. “No rush for it.” “Stands out a bit without.” “Vel, it’s a hot rod in Pentagram City. It’d stand out regardless. All this tells anyone is that it’s new.”

She started off with the swim trunks and loose tops she knew Vox would be most comfortable with. Things he would not be about to complain about. The photographers got single shots of him as well as shots with the both of them. She could lounge over his thighs or hang over his back with her arms over his shoulders too, because Val wasn’t there to overly touch her or make Vox hard and gross. Velvette was not a touch sort of person. She didn’t want to admit she was actually comfortable like this though. Sitting on Vox’s shoulders and resting her arms on top of his head or slung in Vox’s arms with her posed exuberantly like they had been playing in the water he was standing in. There was a feeling she couldn’t label. It was comfortable, but more than that. Somehow nostalgic, except she hadn’t had this when she was alive.
