The year is 1980. The end of the war is on the horizon and the Order of the Phoenix has suffered many casualties. Now in hiding, it's only a matter of time before one side is revealed to be the victor. Albus Dumbledore and Lord Voldemort are missing. The wizarding world is in chaos. Without leaders on both sides, others have tried to step up – to varying degrees of success. With Voldemort gone, there is no order among the Death Eaters, and Dumbledore’s disappearance may have caused the light to die out entirely for those that oppose them. For many, the battle seems too hopeless to keep fighting. For others, they have no choice. Our very first event starts in two hours so if you’re thinking of applying now would be the perfect timing! I would personally love to see more Death Eaters, Alastor Moody, Molly Weasley or both Andromeda and Narcissa Black!

IC Information

As an Annual Charity Gala held by the Ministry of Magic, everyone has been invited and encouraged to attend. Besides fundraising money for Homes and Dreams (a charity that works to support orphan children of the war), the gala is also used to promote the Minister’s campaign. Both the Ministry and each side of the war should take this opportunity to check out the other side, look for loopholes and weak links.

The event will last a singular night. There is an open bar, live music, a ball room to invite your date (or enemy) for a dance, and of course, many Ministry’s officials to get to known or explore.

Keep in mind this is a public event and the rankings of the Order and Death Eaters are not public knowledge. Any hostility or acts of magic should remain secret and hidden, or your character might have to deal with the multiple Aurors in the venue.

OOC Information

While the event lasts one evening alone for our characters, it will run from Friday August 7th to Tuesday August 11th, 5pm BST/12pm EST.

We ask that all non-event threads are paused during the event to avoid any confusion. Event threads may be finished after the closing date but no new threads should be started.

Please tag your event threads with #sfrpevent and #sfrpstarter.

You can and are encouraged to plot with everyone, any alliances, partnerships or animosity alike. Get creative! Just make sure to message the main for main plots.

We completely forgot to change the admins page as we were waiting to change the graphics and then life hit us. So sorry for the confusion darling!
