Sorry to disappear and appear but I've just been caught with university + work combo which carried over holidays. Got one big exam today and then should have peace for a while.
Finally more people to join this little circle of hunters
Danny -> final girl Ripley -> final boss
Ellen vc: what's the fastest way to the hive... what, you gonna pick some eggs and leave?
Ellen vc: they'll bring you there... they will. And you won't leave.
1v1 Xenomorph because you don't want to be dragged down to hive and host babes. Grab anything she can, dig her nails on floor. Kick.

I can get you off. Maybe not the boat, but... • Alien: Resurrection
Heads up my prompts have no due date. You may send me anything I've reblogged at anytime. Became little lazier with starter calls since those require me more work. Plotting in IMs is always welcomed / or chatting about threads. I try myself to be better at reaching out but sometimes my anxiety gets the best of me.

@stclker demanded, "How did you find me?!"
Truthfully, a human's ability to hide from a synthetic is laughable. On the Prometheus mission, David kept stride with his team of bumbling fools -- and Elizabeth -- who had not even eyes to see the information swirling all around them. The visual spectrum of light, dramatic shifts in temperature, these things humans can detect are limited and few. Flesh boasts a wide range of abilities as it pertains to sensing the environment around itself, but humans didn't inherit half the skills flesh is capable of.
A hawk can see a fish beneath the surface of the water because its eyes do not perceive reflections. A synthetic can see a human on the other side of a wall because their nervous system is producing nonstop electrical charges. A synthetic can hear a human breathing from a hundred yards away.
Well. They likely can't anymore. Poor Walter.
With two steps that take him around another corner in the vast, almost unending cryopod chamber inside the Covenant, his footfalls are silent as a cat's.
"You know..." his voice, no longer masquerading as his less-sentient counterpart, is now cold, cutting. Too calm. "Since you and your crew fell out of the sky, I've been asking myself the same thing."
With the second knuckle of an index finger, he knocks loudly on the viewport of a passing cryopod. Daniels is in here, somewhere. Tucked away. Hiding, surely. Heartbeat a-pitter-patter in her chest. She saw Elizabeth's body. She knows what awaits her when he's done toying with her.
"Do you believe in providence? In God?"
Tear filled eyes shut tight, feeling the trails down her cheek. Haunted by the image of mutilated corpse of doctor Shaw. Daniels barely moves. Barely breaths. Struggling against the primordial urges to flee from an approaching hunter. But there is no place to run in the ship, or the cold void of space. Trapped with a threat she cannot reason with, nor really hide from. He would find her eventually, whether she exposed herself, or not.
The chamber amplifies and bounces sound across the walls, both a blessing and a curse: That fragile voice of hers, sound of the tiniest shifts of her limbs could echo from anywhere - Equally, it is impossible to tell if the softest sound of his step, or each line he spoke to her is far or near.
Katherine flinches, grits her teeth. The knock locates him better, momentarily - uncomfortably close. For a moment she keeps silent, forcing her eyes open to track any movement she could between the pods: moving shadows... even a glimpse of the humanoid frame among the sterile white room. She doesn't make an effort to peek out. There is silence, before she speaks again. Somewhere.
" ...I don't know." her voice echoes around the space. Her hands begin to feel her pockets, for little tools and trinkets, whatever she might have idly tucked in.
" If there is..." a pause. Anyone she loved was gone. The crew was gone. Her husband was gone. Walter must be gone. Her future. Gone. Somehow, her desire to live hadn't yet been extinguished. "...all I received was punishment... Wouldn't that equal to being abandoned by your creator...? "
My late night thoughts - I just started to think about how terrifying synthetics actually are if we just ignore sympathetic ones like Walter and Bishop.
Physically stronger, haha you'll get hurt if not having your neck snapped. AI calculates faster than you can think. Sensors pick up more information than your five senses ever could. They don't get tired, pain resistance. All equipment works through them having access to Mother, the main systems in ships etc.
Like even working joes which are the dummy version are the bigger trouble in Isolation than Xenomorph (my opinion but oh my goodness). They walk while you run.
Your only friend against them is an EMP grenade or those stun rods but even then it buys you only few seconds.
“You think of everything.”
