• Please don’t god-mod or metagame. It’s not fun for anyone if your muse somehow knows details about my muse they’re not supposed to, or if you write what my muse is doing. It is fine however if you mention a small action that would make sense in continuation of something my muse did in a previous reply.

• I am mutuals only, although I am not very selective. This rule is only to help me keep track of who I roleplay with, as it’s easier to remember people’s url if I can see them in my followed tab .If you’re interested in interacting, feel free to follow me and I’ll check your blog. • If I follow you, I’ll generally wait around one or two weeks  if you’re active, or more if you’re low activity, to see if you follow me back. When it’s not the case,most of the time i simply unfollow.

• If you follow me and have not been followed back after a month, you are free to send me an ask about it. Chances are I simply forgot.

• My activity here is very sporadic. There will be times where I post everyday, and others where I may not post anything for weeks. Please be patient. I am physically and mentally disabled, and while I don’t have a job, I don’t always have the energy or motivation to write.  A lot of the times I have brain fog that makes it difficult to concentrate. I also struggle with memory issues.

• English is not my first language.  I have been fluent in it for years, but there are still moments where even simple mistakes evade me. You are welcome to kindly point these out to me. Please just don’t be rude about it.

About the Winterverse/major differences from canon

Gems that are shattered can't come back, therefore the cluster didn't exist

Instead, there was a project to make a new pink diamond

Winter discovered it by accident with Garnet while they were looking for a corrupted gem

Scanner scanned their gem and recognized it as a diamond

Cue identity crisis for Winter

Lapis was found a lot earlier and Winter actually talked a lot to her because they didn't really have any friends except Connie and she was able to explain that she needed to be freed

Lapis became a crystal gem

Jasper and Lapis didn't fuse

Jasper was defeated by Sardonyx and bubbled

Peridot didn't get to a pod in time and poofed plus cracked with the crash

Winter healed her and she became a crystal gem earlier

The ruby squad was sent for Jasper but instead of Eyeball attacking Winter in space it was Navy

Aquamarine was sent because there was no news of Jasper or the rubies.

In a panic, Winter revealed they were pink diamond

They were taken in the ship along with Lars whom Aquamarine thought was a gift for Pink Diamond's zoo

The trial was diamonds asking why she fled and faked her death

Lars was here as a way to prove "pink loved creatures like this", and say 'pink' even shapeshifted into one of them

Winter fled with Lars and blue zircon

Wrath's shoulders tensed as he heard the voice getting closer and the approaching footsteps. He pressed himself closer against the boulder as they approached, as if that would keep him out of sight. But with the hurried running in the sand, he already knew too late. He'd been seen, and there was nowhere else he could go. He took another step back, the rain-soaked stone hard against his back; all he could do was stare fixedly at the opening on the other side of the boulder from a defensive crouch and wait distrustfully for whoever it was to catch up with him.

He'd prepared himself to be caught, maybe questioned, but not grabbed and shaken. With a sharp gasp of panic, Wrath froze on the spot, staring at their despairing face with wide, fearful eyes. Though he flinched back when they shouted their demanding question, it seemed to flip a switch inside him. Immediately, he started struggling against the hands on his shoulders, shouting back, "Let me go! Let me go!"

Acting purely on instinct, his right hand swept swiftly to the boulder. A bright flash of light lit up the night when his palm slapped against it. Heart pounding in his ears, he closed his eyes tightly and swung a fist that had been shifted into stone toward the person who'd grabbed him.

Their expression of despair had started to shift into rage as they continued to shake the stranger, demanding answers for questions that probably couldn't even be answered. At least, not by this person. The logic part of their brain knew this. But it was buried deep, deep below layers of fear, worry, incomprehension, and guilt, so many things that had started to pile up since Spinel had vanished.

The hybrid didn't notice the movement until it was too late. Winter had not expected this kid to be able to do this and so they were unable to move out of the way in time. The punch made their hands let go of Wrath's shoulders. And while it didn't hurt them that much, due to Winter being very sturdy, it did serve as a way for the half Gem to put their thoughts back into place, at least enough to realize they had been shaking and screaming at a kid, who was, assumably, already frightened enough by the storm going on.

Winter felt guilt rise inside their chest at the thought they might have worsened this kid's state of mind. They were supposed to be kind, helpful. They were supposed to be the savior of the universe. Not...this. They barely recognised themself lately. Spinel's disappearance had really taken a toll on their mental health. But this wasn't something they could blame on this kid.

Frankly, they had deserved that punch. Poor kid was probably just acting in self defense, and Winter couldn't blame them for this reaction. But even with the storm still raging, and the low visibility of the night, Winter could tell they hadn't been punched by a normal fist. It almost felt like...stone? That raised even more questions.

They sighed, putting their hands up, trying to show they weren't a threat anymore. They never wanted to be, and they felt like a monster for reacting like this. But now was not the time to think about it. Their voice, previously booming with anger, had considerably softened.

"I...I deserved that. I'm sorry. I just...I thought you were someone else. Someone I've been looking for. I was hoping you were, and when I saw you weren't...something snapped. I'm so sorry. I don't know what came over me. I'm not here to hurt you, I promise. Are..are you okay? Did I hurt you?" Winter knew their strength, and they sadly also knew that in moments of distress, they tended to lose control of said strength. Last thing they wanted was to have hurt the kid.

"Look...You shouldn't stay outside in this weather" Winter knew it was likely they would refuse to go anywhere with them, after what had happened. But they had to try.

"You're going to get sick if you stay here." Gently, they offered a hand to the kid, wordlessly offering them to take shelter in the beach house.

The urge to crumple into the arms of a loved one to be coddled and comforted. Life has not been kind to you recently, and the burdens you hold are becoming too heavy to bear on your own. There is no shame in wanting the comfort of a loved one, it is what you deserve. You have struggled for a long time on your own, fearing asking for help or seeming weak, believing you have to grow up and make it on your own. Those who love you will never consider you weak for needing them, and to deny yourself this comfort is a terrible thing. Months. It had been months since Spinel's disappearance. With their new job as a voice actor, they didn't have a lot of free time, but even with the little free time they had, Spinel's absence was heavy, a noticeable missing piece in their everyday life.

In the first few days, Winter had just assumed she was merely isolating herself in her temple room like she often did. Not the best habit, but one they were used to.

But even when she decided to cut herself off from the world, she usually replied to their messages when they checked on her. But this time, nothing. Not a word, and the messages hadn't even gone through. They searched everywhere, with the help of the Crystal Gems, for any trace of the pink Gem. But nothing. It was as if she had just vanished.

Peridot had even traced back and listed every warp pad destination. Among the normal ones, like Winter warping between the beach house to Little Homeworld, there was one that just read as digital nonsense in the data, almost like it wasn't supposed to happen. This was almost a lead. They couldn't do anything with a broken record, and even trying to decipher it had resulted in nothing. There was nothing to decipher. It was an anomaly.

Exhausted by another day of fruitless search, and close to tears, the half-human just told themself it would be better to just go to sleep for now

Because of their powers, Winter was no stranger to bizarre, even unsettling dreams coming from others. More than once, they had asked the person in their dreams if they were doing okay, when back in the real world. Always the same cycle: dream about weird stuff, wake up, find the person, temporarily become a therapist. A lot of the dreams had a recurring topic: Spinel. It seemed that even the people she didn't know further than a name and a face had noticed her absence. In a small town like Beach City, it was difficult to miss something like this.

This had become such an everyday thing that Winter, albeit mentally drained and wishing for it to stop, had just ended up accepting it as part of their routine. No choice, anyway. They couldn't control these dreams. But they surely didn't help the increasing worry as days and days passed with still no sign of Spinel.

But this had been different. There was this void of light, and this door, menacing and imposing. They've only ever seen something as tall once, on Homeworld. But this one was much more complex in design, in contrast with Homeworld, where nothing had details and everything looked bland and uniform. The door had opened, and the hybrid only had time to see what looked like shadow silhouettes before they woke up with a jolt. Something was up. They didn't know what, or where, or who. All they knew was that their brain was screaming at them to go check the beach.

Not even bothering to put on shoes, and still in their pajamas, Winter rushed outside, jumping off the stairs and landing in the wet sand with their floating power. It was absolutely pouring, and they found themself drenched in a matter of seconds. But this didn't matter to them. Someone was there, and as small as the chance that it was Spinel, they couldn't afford to let any chance slip.

Running through the wet sand barefoot, they quickly made it to the middle of the beach. The thunder was roaring, but they barely heard it over the sound of their own heartbeat echoing in their ears. Their heart felt like it was about to beat out of their chest, the hybrid torn between apprehension, hope, confusion, and so much more

"SPINEL? SPINEL IS THAT YOU?" They called out, but to no avail. A sound caught their attention, and Winter immediately rushed towards the source just as thunder illuminated their surroundings. It wasn't Spinel. All they could see was what seemed like a little kid with long black hair.

They were usually patient and docile, but in that moment, all the months of stress, worry, and fear just made them lose all control of themself, and they grabbed the stranger by the shoulders, shaking them, an expression of despair on their face

Winter has an older half brother called Esteban Goldheart. He's Greg's kid from a short relationship Greg had before meeting Rose. Greg briefly dated Wendy Goldheart, another musician like him but it ended due to them not agreeing on what they wanted for their careers

Because Winter never went to school, they had a lot of free time as a tween/early teen. And because the Crystal Gems didn't always want them on the missions for their safety, they turned to the internet for entertainment.

And given the fact the CG are probably not that familiar with social medias and that Winter's father didn't live with them, Winter didnt really have restrictions

Thats where they found tubetube, where they initially found Crying Breakfast Friends, a show they ended up abandoning because of lack of interest

But thats also where they found about gaming, and where they made their channel. On there, they were just a person like everyone else. No one knew, nor did they care that they were an half Gem

When Winter discovered the truth about Rose being Pink Diamond, this caused a massive identity crisis for them. Their channel went inactive for months, which really worried their community. When they came back, everyone could tell they werent acting the same, and Winter eventually had to reveal everything to their community. They were deeply afraid that everyone would leave them, but they were surprisingly understanding

Headcanons

Since the beach house, the house Winter grew up in and the one the gems made, was made with very thick wood, Winter always thought it was an exaggeration when in tv shows people broke the walls so easily. This belief was reinforced by the fact Winter didn't really have many friends growing up, so they never had the chance to ask anyone if this was a real thing. Of course they did punch holes in their wall once or twice but that's only because they have superhuman strength

They have gotten a job as the official voice actor for Keith, the protagonist of Keychain Monsters, after Waterfall Studios made their fanmade series (made with a little team of people) the official animated show for the game. They were already the voice of Keith for the fanmade one, and now they're officially.

They have around 900k subscribers on their channel, and it is growing a lot since the announcement that they were officially working on the show
