Not once in her life time did she believe that this would happen to them. It seemed like they were perfect and all the rest in Sanitarium were flawed. Seeking Zydrate in the streets, begging for surgeries that were not necessary, having them just for cosmetic reasons, and suffering because there were not rich like them. Tina always believed that they would never fall into the trap. They would be better than anybody, even Rotti himself. One day… With patience…
Seeing him with the dagger he used on all others but her, was shocking her to her very core. It shook her into believing her husband, the one she called the love of her life and trusted the most, even more than she trusted herself, would indeed kill her and take her face. The one he so much adored from the moment she was born until now. The mere thought of it made her shake and her heart hurt in agony and misery. Her Pavi? Was he capable of…? But before she even finished her thought in her mind, he took a step forward, ready to seemingly charge at her. It was that that made her finally throw her own dagger at him. Or was it?… For a moment or two she thought that she was capable for everything; including throwing her dagger at him either he decided to charge at her or not. She wanted him to stop. In general. Stop lying to her, stop trying to give her excuses for what he did. It was a time that they had both forgotten about Graciella being alone in the other room. Her almond-shaped, hazel eyes widened as she saw him bleeding from the upper part of is arm. Her dagger was stuck into the wall next to him, so she was helpless. In case he charged at her, she could only use her body to stop him. If she could… Her body shook as a whole and a terrified gasp fell from her as he moved towards her with an anger she hadn’t seen in him before. She tried to escape, run away from him, but he was fast. A cry escaped her as he pinned her with his bare hands against the wall, shutting her eyes with the hit and opening them again to look at him. Her body was unmoving. She didn’t try to push him away or kick him. She didn’t care at that point. His face was distorted into a mad, crazed one. It scared her. “Come on, take it!! TAKE IT!!! KILL ME!!!!” She pressed her lips together for maybe half a minute before they relaxed and trembled, her sight getting blurry as tears welled up in those red from crying eyes before falling. Her face contracted with an upcoming sob. The evidence he wanted that she had regretted it all was this. She couldn’t say anything, her eyebrows frowned in sorrow and her eyes showed only pain for what she had done to him.
She blinked, letting more tears fall from her hurting hazel pools, now seeing him more clearly. But now he seemed as though he would fall. She blinked more, her eyebrows furrowing as she got worried. “Pavi! Amore!!” She almost screamed when he fainted, being as fast as to grab him before he hit the ground completely and keeping him somewhat steady before she let him touch the floor and she half-knelt, half-fell on him while sobbing. Her words were mixed and unintelligible from her sobbing and her state of mind being one step away from getting mad. “I’m sorry…” She sobbed, wrapping one arm around his shoulder and then the other around his neck, laying onto his side and burying her wet face in his neck, wetting it with her tears. “Per favore… Ti amo…”
When she grew in to the marvellous jewel that was her mature form, it seemed her face was the melody he’d long forgotten how to sing. To purloin it for his own would be to obtain ultimate wealth...oh, but no matter how deeply he ached to thieve it for his own, it seemed Tina was the one diamond among the coal that he categorically couldn’t slaughter. What was it about this woman? She was the complex desire his very core thirsted for, she was the fetish he couldn’t subdue. To be without her would be to lose part of himself.
It was no surprise to Pavi when he hazily woke up in one of GeneCo’s hospital beds. Immediately, he assumed the worst: Tina was gone, she’d left him, she hated him. No other but a GENtern by his side, before Pavi’s vision had even properly cleared, he shot the question, ❝Where’s-a my wife?❞, wincing slightly as a sharp pain shot through his head, passing as quickly as it came. The GENtern looked shocked as she tried to explain his predicament, but knew better than not to answer the question Mr. Largo was so desperate to ask. Just below Rotti, he was essentially one of her bosses, and after all, she had overheard Mrs. Largo in conversation with her caffeine-obsessed cousin, and knew the answer of which he was seeking. A low, dangerous growl rumbled at the back of his throat when Pavi learned of Tina’s whereabouts...Pleasant Valley. Of course. Of course, she would run straight back to that accursed place to be with that disgusting pig. Pavi clambered out of bed, ignoring any stiffness or weakness of joints, on the hunt for the his enemy with the sole intention of destroying him. He would go to Pleasant Valley, and find out just exactly what was going on. Just as he reached the door, ❝Mr. Largo, wait! The results of your paternity test are in!❞ the GENtern warily called. Pavi stopped dead in his tracks. He didn’t turn towards her, instead as still as ice, just asking the question, ❝...Si?❞. The GENtern shook her head, blonde curls bouncing with the movement, ❝The child isn’t yours, Mr. Largo. As you already assumed, Julianna was wrong.❞ she further explained, ❝She took the first train out of town when she heard the news.❞.
Well, well, well...a fleeting moment of silence passed before Pavi’s breaths slowly but surely increased to a raucous of laughter. Oh, how he’d love to throw that in their faces...and Tina...perhaps, this was the key to her forgiveness...perhaps, he could use it to coax her in to coming back...and if not...well...
