That’s my little tide explorer, he chuckled, patting your padded bottom. Long day at the beach means extra thick diapers, remember? Changing rooms can be a long walk from the water.
You nodded, remembering last summer when you’d missed the ice cream truck because of a changing trip.
Alright, Daddy said, spreading a blanket on the bed. Let’s get you in a fresh one before we go. He powdered you lightly, fastened the tapes snug, and gave your tummy a gentle pat. There we go! Comfy, protected, and ready for adventure.
Later, down on the sand, you and your friend Lucky built a fortress of moats and towers. At one point, Lucky grinned and whispered, bet you won’t take your shorts off and show your diaper.
You froze for a second, cheeks warm, but Daddy, sitting under the umbrella, gave you a knowing smile that seemed to say it’s okay. With a playful shrug, you slipped your shorts down just enough for Lucky to see the puffy waistband.
Whoa, yours is so much thicker than mine! Lucky laughed not meanly, just encouragingly and then dared you to race to the water’s edge. You both took off running, shorts down the rest of the way and then off! In the waves and sunshine making you forget all about feeling shy. ☺️
