Hello Ladies and Gents,
We apologize for having been a bit absent for the past few months! We've had some exciting changes in our lineup and have been active performing, recording, and honing our craft. We would first like to thank everyone for helping us finish out the Road To Roo Contest as 7th in the nation. Unfortunately, we were not ultimately selected to perform Bonnaroo '13, but we are deeply heartened and proud to have finished the contest as we did. We couldn't ask for anything better from our fans, and we truly appreciate your support!
In mid May, we made two major changes in the line-up: We replaced our original drummer, Mark Cullen, with a more dedicated, passionate, and driven musician by the name of Jonathan McMillan. He's been by the side and behind the scenes of Steal The Prize since basically the beginning, so the fit was perfect, and the transition was smooth. We also added an additional musician to the group, his name's Bryce McClellan. He fills the multi-instrumental, three-part harmony void that has been the missing link in our live performance. He's also a songwriter, and he brings tremendous value to the group. The changes we've made have brought about a new level of synergy and focus that had been quite lacking previously, and we're all extremely excited about the new energy and connection. We have already started writing new material that we believe is a cut above our back catalog of tunes.
We are still perfecting the recording for the new album which we have decided is going to be titled Don't Forget You're Sad. We booked a weekend with John at Mystic Fortress in the middle of August to try and finish up the remainder of tracking and mixing. We are planning the release for sometime in the Fall 2013, so be on the look out for updates related to that in the near future.
We're doing a CD re-press of I Think I Am and I Want To Talk To God, so if you didn't get a copy before we sold out of the last pressings, you'll have another opportunity to grab one up. We should have the physical copies available in the next few weeks right here on the site, as well as at our shows. We're getting a slew of other new merchandise as well, including t-shirts, coozies, screen-printed posters, and more. All of which will be available on our web store, and on our merch table at live performances. More updates to come on this!
Following the release of the new record, we're planning some tour routes to get out of the state and place our live performance in front of as many crowds as possible. Tour is an essential piece of the puzzle, and we're taking all the necessary steps to get there.
Anyways, that's all for now. We'll be updating you all again in the very near future. Dig it.

The album is really coming together. Surprising us.
It’s been a year since we have updated our news section. We apologize if this has caused any depression in our overseas followers. Our next album is well over half way done being recorded with John Thompson at The Mystic Fortress in Roanoke, VA. We will be posting some new stuff in the next few weeks.
Thank You Relix Magazine for spreading the word! Check out January/February issue....

Hey Everyone,
Check out the updated "Show" page, we've posted the dates for a lot of new shows in August, September, and October, and we still have more to post.
We got a proof copy of the Relix issue in the mail today, and have had a chance to check out the compilation. Our track "The Devil Made Me Do It" stands strong at track five of fourteen! There is some really great new music for you all to check out. You can pick it up at your local news stand or Barnes and Noble.
We would like to use this opportunity to invite you all to our home August 19th, for an intimate showcase of some serious vibe building. Some of you are familiar with our house shows, and we all agree that these are not only outrageously fun and enjoyable, but it also gives you the chance to experience our creative process in the most intimate setting, our living room.
We look forward to seeing you all very soon! Cheers

Hello all,
With a little help from our friends (and wonderful coincidence), Relix Magazine has presented us with a great opportunity; a reserved slot in the "On The Rise" section, as well as a track on the compilation CD, included with each issue. Now, if you've never heard of Relix, take a minute to become familiar; if you like music, you'll be glad you did! We will appear in September's issue, and included on a great compilation CD with The Meters, Umphrey's McGee, and others! Keep your eye out for this one.
This opportunity allows us to connect with, literally, thousands of souls, and gives us a unique opportunity to invite others to join our forward thinking movement, and help us make an imprint in modern culture. Our music is created from the space within, and this promotes a unique and deep undertone that we all can connect to . You don't just hear it, you experience it, feel it. We feel it too. So thank you all, for everything.

WELCOME,
We are very excited about this new website, and finally having our own outlet to express our art, and make it available to you, the people. We hope you enjoy navigating the website, checking out the media, the music, and of course....the store. Our new album "I Think I Am" is available for purchase, and the whole album can be streamed, right here, right now.
Progression is the revolving door in your mind. You can either pass through, or end up in a continuous cycle. It's easy to get stuck. Eventually, there comes a moment of realization. We just broke free.
