Well, yes, it’s obvious why Rednote is a bigger threat now.
Angelina Vorontsova in Le Corsaire.
Krysanova might just have some of the prettiest gargouillades I’ve seen from a dancer. She just has a way of articulating her rond de jambes in a very pronounced way, and she makes it look effortless.
how does it feel to be the funniest person on earth
HUGE fan of the enemies forced to work together trope. not even in an enemies to lovers way just 2 ppl who absolutely despise each other being forced to tolerate the others presence and being like once we’re done with this i won’t fucking hesitate. top 10 tropes of all time
i think it’s a shame that so many people speak perfect english just from the internet/tv and get no real recognition for it. there’s this horrible assumption that being fluent in english is just a given (propaganda from americans in cargo shorts i believe) and english is brushed off as an “easy” language. that isn’t the case at all and if you’ve learned english that’s amazing and im honestly in awe. i hate that people achieve so much to reach the minimum expectation, and then english speakers will pat themselves on the back for being able to count to 10 in french
Can I propose a new term? Westsplaining: when a westerner is convinced they know what’s better for your country despite not having any information on your culture, language, economy, politics, etc.
The number of times I’ve had people on this website show their wikipedia search result to me like it’s supposed to be some mind-blowing expose… bitch I know that and a lot more. You’re the one with no knowledge and context.
i think "take a hike" is like the funniest response to someone. like dude just get outta here. and go experience the wonder of nature for a bit
ancestral form of touch grass
The organiser for my uni’s anti-harassment workshop putting all the Asians in one group and everyone else (who’s all white) in other groups to talk about microaggressions is peak irony
Freda Payne performing on “Top of The Pops” (1971).
Diana Vishneva in Manon.
Photographer unknown to me.
I’ve come to think she has the most beautifully honed upper body work of any dancer I have seen.

Random thought: When Ekaterina Krysanova retires a part of me will die inside.

swan lake’s score and choreography are so beautiful and then you have siegfried’s variations
was just reading Ruslan's post announcing his being "let go" as a tutor-repetiteur and the comments under that. now, ten of the most beloved BT principals are being punished and having their performances suspended for a month over a gala. I wonder what their prospects will be and how BT will treat them once they become contract workers / retire as dancers. I imagine at least some of them would want to stay at BT to teach classes and/or coach younger dancers. How many of them will be treated just like Ruslan, cast away and having their experience as an artist and contributions to the theatre they served for years dismissed?
