THOUGHTS:
======================
If we are under the control of flesh we will never please God no matter how much we try to please him we can’t, we must walk in the spirit and trust in God, our flesh can be calling us all day to do something but we must have self-control and not do what our flesh wants us to do, no matter how tempting it may be we can’t, we must not yield to our flesh our flesh will get us into trouble each time we must learn to be faithful to God.
Many of us will allow our flesh to talk to us when we haven’t been reading our word the way we should if we haven’t commune with God the way we should we will find our sleeves in trouble I have noticed that when we are less faithful to God that when we experience more problems in our life but the moment we are faithful we are reading our word praying and doing what we should in our Christian walk we will find that our relationship with Christ is more sturdy the word tells us to seek him day and night, and as we seek him our flesh won’t have the room to deny him our flesh won’t have time to do something we shouldn’t because our focus is on him,
It's just like driving a car, we must stay focus on the road, and not look at the billboards or other things because the moment we start looking at other things driving with our phones in our hand, become so distracted and we start swaying but as long as our head is focused on the road we won’t have time to do anything else that’s just like Christ as long as we are preoccupied with God our flesh won’t have time to distract us from what we should be doing . Christ wants us to focus on him at all times, not our sinful nature, not the noise and seeds of the enemy, but just him alone.
Romans 8:8 That’s why those who are still under the control of their sinful nature can never please God.
This verse tells us that we can never please God if our fleshly nature entertains us. A lot of us are so full of our flesh that we don’t have time for our spirit nature, we don’t have time to read the word, we don’t have time to pray, because we are so full of our sins
We must recognize that our flesh represents our sinful nature and tendencies that go against God's will. The desires and impulses of our flesh can lead us down a path of disobedience and separation from God. However, it is through the guidance and leading of the Holy Spirit that we can live in a way that pleases God. He enables us to overcome our fleshly desires and walk in alignment with His will. We must understand that living according to the flesh and pleasing God are mutually exclusive; we cannot do both. It is essential to constantly surrender ourselves to the Holy Spirit and allow Him to lead us in every aspect of our lives. This will ultimately lead us to a life of fulfillment and joy in the presence of God.
Galatians 5:16-17 So I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh. / For the flesh craves what is contrary to the Spirit, and the Spirit what is contrary to the flesh. They are opposed to each other, so you do not do what you want.
As we walk in the spirit, we won’t gratify the wants of the flesh, the flesh only wants what contrary to the spirit that’s why we can walk in darkness and expect to walk in the light of God the sins we commit is what’s keeping us from a closeness with God because we commit a sin, we creating a wedge between us and God! They oppose each other because they are fighting for you to have two different things. It’s a tug-of-war match every day with us and our flesh; it’s nothing we can stop doing, my friends. We must submit to the Lord at all times.
To walk by the Spirit is to humbly acknowledge our need for the guidance and power of the Holy Spirit in every aspect of our lives. It requires a constant surrender, allowing the Spirit to lead and direct us. This means being attentive to His voice and obedient to His promptings. It also means being aware of the desires of the flesh, which are in direct opposition to the Spirit. However, by walking in the Spirit, we are empowered to resist these temptations and live a life that is pleasing to God. The Holy Spirit plays a vital role in our journey to becoming more like Christ, providing us with strength, wisdom, and conviction as we strive to live a godly life.
Walking by the Spirit is a truly liberating and transformative experience. It is a conscious decision to let go of our desires and to be led by the Holy Spirit. This leads to true freedom, not the kind that allows us to indulge in sinful behavior, but the freedom to live in righteousness and love. As we align ourselves with the will of God, we can fulfill the law of Christ - to love God and love others. However, walking by the Spirit requires effort and intentional actions. Engaging in regular prayer and studying Scripture helps cultivate a Spirit-led life. It allows us to align our thoughts and actions with the will of God and to grow and mature in our faith continually. This is the key to experiencing true freedom and living a life that honors and glorifies God.
Romans 8:13 For if you live according to the flesh, you will die; but if by the Spirit you put to death the misdeeds of the body, you will live.
When we live according to the flesh we will die that’s cutting it straight to the point, but if live by the spirit we will live a lot of people don’t want the truth of God a lot of people want the sugar coated word but friends I’m here to tell you cutting corner will not do it in this life we must be bold and strong walking in our walk with God!
Living according to the flesh can seem appealing and satisfying in the moment, but ultimately it leads to spiritual death. This warning should be taken seriously, as it highlights the destructive nature of sin. Giving in to our sinful desires may bring temporary pleasure, but it ultimately separates us from God and leads us down a path of destruction. However, as believers, we are not left to face this battle alone. The Holy Spirit is essential in empowering us to overcome sin. Through His guidance and strength, we can put to death the desires of our flesh and live a life that is pleasing to God.
*** Today we talked about walking in the flesh and how walking in the flesh is no way to live we must live in Christ many of us enjoy living in the spirit and our flesh but that’s being a lukewarm Christian that’s not what’s it’s about living in a place of love and grace and walking in the light so that you can hear his voice is where you need to be.
Galatians 6:8 The one who sows to please his flesh, from the flesh will reap destruction; but the one who sows to please the Spirit, from the Spirit will reap eternal life.
We need to embrace the biblical principle that our actions have consequences. The Bible teaches us that sowing to the flesh leads to destruction, while sowing to the Spirit leads to eternal life. This means that the choices we make in our daily lives have a significant impact on our eternal destiny. We must prioritize spiritual growth and obedience to the Holy Spirit, cultivating a lifestyle that reflects these values. This involves regularly seeking guidance through prayer, studying the Word of God, and surrounding ourselves with fellow believers who can encourage and hold us accountable. By doing so, we can live a life that is pleasing to God and reap the rewards of sowing to the Spirit.
