“Nothing some alcohol can’t fix!” She grinned dangling her bottle in front of before taking in a huge gulp. “Too bad you can’t multi task like me even after being a 160-ish old vampire!” Giving him a judging look, she looked away before he caught up on to her flaming cheek. “You cannot assume things you don’t know of and I’m not discussing my sex life with you unless you’re my gay best friend which you clearly are not.” Folding her arms across her chest, Caroline leaned on the arm rest of her day bed and swung her feet on to her friend’s lap as she thought about what he just said.
Surprisingly, he ended it shortly and she finally glanced his way with a sheepish smile. “I did that because you were my best friend and also you called me hot, which actually freaked me out because the Stefan I knew never says such things and I wanted my old buddy back. And I caught on to the sire thing because Klaus hinted me in the right direction…” She had three of her fingers opened before her as she recounted the details. “Well…It was worth a try!” Pressing her lips together, the blonde tilted her head to the side giving him a guilty look. “No, actually that creeper has been watching us the entire time from the other side and that’s how I suppose she fooled us all. Silas was not stupid and he was your doppleganger but he never imitated you—not to me anyways!”
"After 150 years your memory seems to go funny. I am proof of that. But if you want my full attention the TV will have to be off." He pressed the button to turn it off. "Do you have a gay best friend? If so consider me jealous." He pouted but smirked when she placed her feet on his lap. "Okay true I would never use the word hot on anything except maybe the sun or a cooker. But most things I said then were true. I just had no filter or moral compass to say it or filter anything."

You know I am not distracted from something so important by something so quickly thrown in. You may be able to distract Klaus like that but I know you better." When Caroline spoke about Silas he nodded "Thanks, Caroline not helping. I know he is not stupid but I would rather forget that Silas was or is my doppleganger. I was fine with Elena being one but I hate the thought of being one myself. He pretended to be me for two to three months and he fooled my brother and your mother and Rebekah. People who claim to know me best. I get it my life seemed better than his at the time and it was a way to gain information but I wish he just was himself."

"Is my company really that bad?" He frowned but he couldn't keep it up long before he smiled again. He just caught the remote before it hit him. "You can't tell me to watch what I want then tell me you actually want to talk. Tv and talking don't mix. I can only really focus on one at a time." He took a another swig of his beer. "Well I assumed that you had slept with him. You Caroline Forbes mean more than you think and you mean more to everyone and not just dysfunctional vampires." He shook his head "You should give yourself more credit. Who was it who helped with my memory problem or helped figure everything out about the cure or who was it who helped figure out about Elena being Sired? It wasn't me. You are one of the cleverest people I know." He ignored the Tatia part for awhile. He needed to prove to her she was not worthless. "You cannot distract me that easily Caroline. Well it seems we do not know Elena that well or she is too easy to imitate. I really hate stupid dopplegangers right now. Why do they have to pretend to be others. Can they not just be themselves?"

Okay yes I went to leave town but I most probably would have stayed in touch. You are stronger than you think and you wouldn't have spiralled and if you did I would have helped. How many times have you helped me, even when I didn't want it? I should have tried harder to find and help you." He takes a swig. "I didn't just leave him there. I left both Gilberts there. Elena and Jeremy. He has developed a lot since the whole hunter thing. I am 90% sure we will have a house that is still standing when and if we go back."

You were the one who left her and the town behind so there must be another reason for your sudden disappearance." He shrugged trying to shrug it off as not a big deal. "Yeah the whole eternity of misery." He nodded "My rooms are full of memories and memoires. Things I hold dear. I care too much I get it but the rest of the house doesn't have to suffer. Noone but me has to go in my room and see it."
